Smote - The Opinion Of The Lamb Pt. 1 (Live In Blank Studios) 1218pm 10.7.24 thoughts on music? we have gotten to the pop-point of same old same old re: psych rock or this repetitive groove deemed so hep and happening where lazy studio engineers and musicians are concerned as they stuck a few samples into the mix and sat and toked and drank the night away after another fine hit record was in the pipeline.... dance music has been overhauled by the riff shtick or the gear the bands wouldn't have added into a studio recording but were happy to indulge with during an elongated live sesh jam. even acid mothers temple, for all it's garbled ad hoc nonsense, still adheres to a repetitive lick and beat eg: pink lady lemondade..... speed guru (my fav)... dunno, really. maybe it's the end of the proper musician. just listened to some dire pop song on radio two and it was merely a johnny marr guitar sample (refer to his modest mouse interaction).... as for musicians per se: "where ya goin' now!!?"
