Got to love TH-cam! Thanks for explaining everything in detail. I don't recall anyone ever explaining batteries and rear steering as well as you did!

wow thats fast! is there any way to wire it 24v but still have the alternator charge it?

They sell inverters to converter 12v to 24v. Them fancy tour buses are a good example of using that setup.

@@DestructionDan would love to do that to mine but no idea where to start!

@@KevinTalbotTV I’m not 100% sure on what exactly to use. Some extensive research will have to be done. Also wondering if there’s a way to isolate the circuit for the rear steer so you can leave the rest of the truck 12v and just have to charge up the rear steer battery between runs.

@@DestructionDan i am completely useless when it comes to electrics! Would rather not worry about having to charge a seperate battery. How about running the whole truck on 24v?

@@KevinTalbotTV lol! It’s not that bad! Speaking of, you have that part number for wiring harness you got for your truck? You can run the system off 24v seeing that’s what Joe is doing from the looks of this video. Maybe call powermaster and see if they have a solution with their alternator setup your running?

I’ve been on a low rider watching binge lately, hearing that they are involved in monster trucks makes it all that much better.

Good to know about hydraulic rear steer! Can't wait to see more content soon!

Hey Joe ( & KevinTalbot ), I believe CSR's Smart Start would be the ticket here. You should be able to charge all 3) 12V batteries with your current 12V alternator (and pit chargers) but also send 24V to your 12V electric motor on your rear steer while still powering all of the truck's 12V systems. You could also use it for it's intended purpose of sending 24V to your engine's starter for easier/quicker starting

Hey Joe! Curious if this is a single acting pump with an electric directional control valve used for switching directions, looking at buying a CCE pump for my mega truck and both me and the CCE guys were curious on what you use. Also wondering which model pump you got ? Awesome truck and set up! Thanks

Braiden, yes there is an electric direction valve. I will try and find a part number but I know its made by Hydraforce. I run the CCE Fat Boy pump with the Marzochi internals
