Yes, Angelina is able to embody everyone she covers, and still make it her own. She is exceptionally talented. So glad to hear you give props to the guitarist - he has accompanied her a number of times and always is on point and really gets into it.
After having heard every one of her covers a bunch of times, I finally realized she was just trying out the various vocal effects each of the original artists used. It's like learning how to paint pictures. The teachers have you copying old masters so that you learn the various brush strokes which can be used to create a picture. Angelina is now to the point where she has began to settle into her own voice. You can see this with her recent releases. I still love to see her covers, all the way back to her "I who have nothing" at the age of six. Love your viewpoint of Angelina.
this is one beautiful interpretation. to me this is her most heart-wrenching vocal expression. I don't know how a 12 year old could do that. I listen to this performance and cannot but to reminisce about the past.

Angelina Jordan’s from Norway she’s been speaking English and read English of age of 3 she sort out half singing jazz. She speaks three languages and course English is not her first language and she is a child prodigy we call her the girl with 1000 voices.
