I call French House, mechanical funk. The manipulation of sounds to create this repetive, catchy, funky hook, with natural breaks used by the sample. Beautiful technique really.
Not only does this song sample one of my favorite tracks from Off the Wall, it does it in a completely cool and awesome way. There's such atmosphere in this track...MJ would be proud.

It's too lofty, dreamy, heartfelt, and not at all gritty, edgy, madly brilliant, and weird enough to be one of Thomas'. It's still an amazing track, but there's a clear distinction here, I think.
