Star Realms Rise of Empire is a new legacy game that acts as the prequel to the beloved star realms deck builder franchise. In Star Realms Rise of Empire, the Legacy Star Realms Game, players go head to head in this exclusively 2 player star realms game, fighting for control and victory. Star Reams Rise of Empire is a legacy star realms game played over 12 scenarios. In each scenario of Rise of Empire, players can buy and upgrade cards. Upgrades are permanent and the original cards are removed from the game, then the upgraded cards are returned to the deck at the end of the game and will be shuffled back into the deck for the next game. In addition to the standard victory from eliminating all of your opponent's health, Star Realms Rise of Empire introduces political victories. In this Legacy Star Realms game, if a player completes all 5 of their upgrades they immediately win the game, regardless of either player's health.
When a player upgrades a card in Star Realms Rise of Empire, that card becomes a dual faction card, representing both their original faction and the faction of the player who upgraded the card. This allows players to activate more faction abilities. In Star Realms Rise of Empire, players begin that game as either the Star Empire or the Trade Federation, and they will play as that faction for the entire campaign. Players start with 11 cards instead of the standard 10 cards, and begin the game with 2 faction cards, immediately having the ability to trigger faction specific actions.
Star Realms is a fantastic addition to the star realms world, adding new abilities, new factions, and new legacy style gameplay that fits so well into the star realms world that we know and love.

Star Realms: Rise of Empire is a new standalone pre-quel to the popular Star Realm series game with 141 cards, and a 12-game legacy scenario campaign. Rise of Empire introduces three brand new factions: the Consortium, the Scavengers, and the Kingdom. Rise of Empire will take players on an epic adventure over the course of 12 scenarios where players will permanently alter the market deck cards while tracking their battle wins and losses. Players will compete to achieve various objectives, earning them Campaign Victory Points and unlocking the secrets of the worlds around them.
