I can't believe you're not doing your "best" on youtube because the videos you've posted in the last few months have been my favorite content I've watched from you
I'm a senior at University of Delaware, and I created a way for young adults (18-25), to get a head start on seeking advice from clinical psychologists on self esteem, motivation, mental illness, relationships (platonic/intimate), organization, stress, and more! I created a podcast called Shay Says where each episode is 13 minutes--and there's only 13 episodes. Me plus a team of clinical psychologists want to make everyone feel as if they are more in control and get CREDIBLE advice. You should definitely check it out I uploaded the episodes on TH-cam if one is not accessible to Itunes, Spotify, or Sound Cloud!!
I just graduated from University of Oregon with a degree in advertising and I felt the exact same way. I really didn't want to move home but I'm so glad I did! I think we all need to give ourselves a little grace when navigating a pandemic lol. You are a total bad ass and I've always really looked up to you, I can't wait to see what you do next!

It's funny Margot that you would ever feel like a failure since you've achieved so much success at such a young age. It is easier said than done but try not to get down on yourself so much. love you from NY!!
I love your honesty and even when you think you’re just word vomiting it sounds way more coherent than 90% of what I say haha, I hope your NYC plans come through because I know the content is gonna be so gooood!! Xx
i graduated college this year and moved home and it’s been hard, especially because it wasn’t expected in the slightest, but just know you’re not alone!! also PLEASE release a podcast, i’m a podcast junkie too and i’d listen in a heartbeat!
I think your audience has grown up with you. I watched you when I was in high school excited about college and now I’m watching you start your career while I’m at college. It’s all perfect timing for me. A lot of creators end up going full force into TH-cam so you broadcasting the early stages of jump starting a career is a rare POV on TH-cam. I’m excited to watch.
Oh girl my first kiss was traumatizing too... It happened while we were watching the scene in Jaws where the shark eats the boat and I felt like the boat
Watching this 5 months late but I feel you so hard about feeling like you are “failing” when its just the reality of the situation right now. I just graduated this past year too and spent months feeling like a failure because I had nothing to show. But life moves quick and I ended up finding a job that is way better than I could’ve ever imagined. I’ll be moving into NYC soon too :) things happen for a reason

I remember binge watching all of your older videos after finding the dorm move-in one bc I had no clue what to take with me! You have helped so many of us you literally have no idea! And I believe that even now you will continue doing awesome videos and giving the best advice! p.s. It is totally okay to not have everything figured out in our 20s❣

For me the most interesting content during this time has been seeing how other people have pivoted in the face of this massive change in all of our lives. So thank you Margot for chatting and sharing with us. Also girl, none of us will ever be Ronan Farrow we all fall short in comparison to everything he has done lol. We believe in you, the future podcast will be great just from the fact that it comes from you. The way you present things, your openness, it already works on your other platforms. You’ve got to go for it ❤️✨
Girl!! From a TH-cam business stand point speaking out about your position in life after graduating college is probably the best route you could take (in my opinion, haha) ! I just graduated and had saved up money and had jobs organised overseas, I'm from London and was meant to be coming to work in New York then travelling round the US, Asia and Australia, and it's so refreshing seeing someone with a platform in a similar situation as me - having such big plans that have dissolved, and instead I'm living at home unsure what my next move will be. I've followed you for years and it's so inspiring to see how authentic your content is, especially during this strange limbo stage in all our lives. Solid advice during this strange time would never go amiss.
Margot you’ve been one of my biggest role models since I was 14 and I’m so greatful for your constant honesty. Your vulnerability on this channel is so comforting and I can safely say I’ll always be an avid supporter.
I have followed your growth as a person for ages now and felt incredibly sentimental that we graduated in the same situation since the whole 'closing and starting a chapter in life' has gone completely different than anticipated. Life during a pandemic is so daunting because the outcome is uncertain. Hang in there Margot, you are more than just your channel or content, my younger self and current self look up to you regardless. Much love x
I was supposed to finish college this year, I got caught up on personal stuff and couldn’t graduate. Now I don’t even know if I will be able to even finish next year and It’s not specifically motivating watching all your friends finally graduate while you’re stuck some more time. That makes me feel like a failure. I was supposed to be living abroad by this time, that didn’t happen either and for a long time I was frustrated with myself, even angry. I put so much pressure on myself for that, just like you do with all the things you feel frustrated about. But after all, It's not the things we didn’t do that should get the attention, is how far we came along the way. You are young, bright and I have no doubt that you will be able to accomplish everything you work so hard on, at the right time. Don’t be harsh with yourself, be proud ❤️
I love that you took the time to talk about this. Especially post grad life, I’m going through the exact same things and it’s nice to know that I’m not alone. I’m learning to take everything day by day but it definitely does take a toll on you since you had so much planned 😭 love you sooo sooo much ❤️

I did a 3 week road trip around the US in the end of August before I had to go back to school. There are ways to do this super safely, we altered our route like 3 times to make sure we wouldn't be going to areas that were hit bad by COVID. You just have to be careful and discuss with the people you are traveling with what you feel comfortable doing and your expectations for the trip. For example if you want to take it to an extreme like we did we camped practically the entire time. This saved us a ton of money and limited our exposure to other people. It was such an amazing experience and I really hope that you decide to do this!
Honestly you have no idea how much this video has helped me, I am a recent grad and was due to move to a big city but had to cancel those plans because of covid, so I totally feel you! ❤️
Just going to say, definitely not bored of your content!! It’s been such a great escape throughout these strange months and it’s nice to see someone else going through similar experiences and how they deal with them.
I just graduated & had a place in NYC all booked up, a job and then... a pandemic!!! It's nice hearing similar situations and feelings come from someone I look up too. You deserve this time to breathe and NYC will always be there for us! Cant wait to see what the future holds for you, xo!
I love how you and jaycee look at the bright side of an unexpected situation, I think it's the best approach. and girl, don't be so hard on yourself, you've already achieved a lot, the fact something is just having a delay in your plan is very far from not happening, rather, it will happen with the right timing. love you margot ❤️
Margot I love your content we are in the same exact situation. I graduated w my advertising degree in May and have just quit my first job due to it being an extremely toxic workplace. I’m dealing with a lot of feelings of being a failure and inadequate and not having my college friends to rely on anymore. It is really important for us to share these struggles so we don’t feel alone and can give each other advice. This is so much better than the alternative which is pretending to be perfect and happy which everyone does on Instagram!! Your TH-cam may not be skyrocketing bc u have standards of what ur willing to do for content. In the long run, not succumbing to just cheap fast fashion hauls will pay off.
Damon is one of my favorite vloggers! I’ve always wanted to live abroad, especially in France and watching his videos made me kinda solidify that goal I have :) I hope both of us achieve that dream!
I can never get enough of your content!!!!! I would love nothing more than for you to start a podcast so I have more reasons to listen in on your thoughts and ideas!🤍
really love your honesty and openness in this video - i've been really enjoying your content during this quarantine/lockdown time and love how generous you are with your advice with your viewers. also your story with your boyfriend sounds so adorable!!
I loved your college vlogs, but I LOVE(D?) your quarantine vlogs. Everyone was in similar situations and you really inspired me, and you made the most of it. Honestly wherever you go in life your subscribers will love to see it💕💕

Shay Smith totally random but I’m currently a senior applying UD for the fall and it’s easily become my top school any advice or important info about the school :)
@@lauraelena8212 The only advice I can really give you is to make sure they offer your major. I'd also recommend applying to a couple other colleges that also offer your major. Something's telling me to recommend Abby Gigliotti to you. She's a TH-camr who's a senior in high school in Pennsylvania. I'll link her "first day of senior year" video below. I was supposed to be a freshman at Newhouse this semester. I went to school for three weeks and once all of my classes went online, I decided that it made the most sense to come home and do my internship in Denver. I’ve felt so lame for living with my parents after graduating high school, and this made me feel better. I’ll be back at cuse when I can get the most out of my education, but for now I’m trying to make the most of where I’m at.
would love to see a podcast from you!! when you’re ready though!! also, there’s no reason why you can’t maybe try acting out now? it might not seem like it fits where your life is going now, but i can so see you doing well in that industry ❤️❤️❤️
I have been watching you on TH-cam for the past 4 years and I have been loving seeing your TH-cam channel flourish and most importantly seeing you grow both as a TH-cam and as a person. What I can say, is that you are a gifted person, you are smart and creative, you have a great reflection on life and you have your own way with choosing the right words to say and the right timing to do. Even though your plans of going to the city are currently on hold but I belive that it is for the best, when the timing is right everything will smoothly follow up. But I do encourage you to get working on the podcasts, you have all the needed skills, mainly your creativity, your way of delivering a message and your soothing voice. you will make amazing content that will guide and help out many of us, don't be intimidated by anyone, you will shine on your own way.
literally love this video so much! Being a recent grad myself this content is so relatable and it is so nice to hear that others are going through similar situations during this time!
Your videos relax me soooo much, I’ve been following you for such a long time I feel like you’re my friend! I look up to you so much, you have such an amazing values and mind, the way you talk and be is effortless and genuine. Thank you so much for opening up, this video I think it settles a before and after in your channel since you’ve been so brave to talk about insecurities and opening up about your most personal part and emotions. I know it’s a difficult time for dreams and goals to come true, but eventually all falls back into place, you just keep being you and keep walking forward
I could listen to you talk about anything!! Thanks for sharing! And love all your content even the at home vids ❤️❤️ you’re so inspiring and it’s refreshing to see that someone you look up to also has doubts and feels like a failure sometimes
my biggest goal right now is 100% to live/work abroad at some point and I’m obsessed with Damon’s account too ... not finished with this video but I already love it 🥺
Love you Margot... thanks for being brave and sharing this. It’s very comforting to know that I’m not alone in overthinking, living abroad, goals, etc. definitely look up to you! And would love to meet you in person ;)
I absolutely love that you shared what your dealing with in terms of having a certain goal and navigating your way to achieving it . It was so refreshing and relatable to hear ❤️ sending you love and hoping you figure it all out soon ! Everything will work out in your favor 💕
I graduated a semester early in December & moved home to start my job search. now I’ve been stuck at home for 9 months even though I had expected to find a job by April!!! It’s been really difficult coping with feeling like a complete failure
Love your honesty and realness ❤️ Thanks for sharing! Because same lol ! Its fine to live at home save and figure out what your want to do with your life. just graduated and Im back home trying to to figure out postgrad life, taking it day by day. And decided that Im going to use this time to take TH-cam seriously and do the things I want to do in my life. :) Totally agree you have to redefine failure and make the most of every situation as you are doing ! And Im sure your podcast is going to be great ! Just do it ! ❤️❤️❤️
i hope you’ll get over on feeling like a failure bcos you’re really such an inspiration. i’m glad that you found a great guy bcos you’re such an adorable woman & you deserve a great better half! keep going Margot xoxo
I am so excited to see where your life takes you and love how you have used this time to make relatable content for so many recent grads and current college students- also a FULL SEND for the podcast; I feel like you have so much wisdom and it's something that could grow over time just like your channel has ahh
Thank you for being so honest with us!!! You are so well spoken and don’t worry about being relatable (easier said than done) you are amazing and I can’t wait for the vlogs in the city when that time comes!!!! ❤️
I really love your current content and that you are so honest with us about your feelings. Of course NYC content is exciting and attracts a lot more views but it’s just not the same than pre Covid. Covid canceled a lot of my plans this year too but I also had experiences that I wouldn’t have had without it. I would love to hear more about your current work if you can tell us more about it or a video about fall outfit ideas would be nice too ✨
I just graduated from college too and I definitely can relate to a lot of the things you said! My plan 6 months ago was much different that where I am now, but sometimes life throws some curve balls that may be a blessing in disguise. Stay positive. You're such an inspiration to others! Oh, and I would for sure be one of your first podcast followers - please do it!
I’m in the same boat of living at home post grad and it’s been hard for me too! But I have really loved your content including lately and i think if you’re sharing what’s going on with you, the good and bad, people will always relate somewhere and that never goes out of style 💗

I really have been enjoying your videos lately! You are such an inspiration and I look up to you! You're doing so good, I know that you will make your dreams and goals come true you work so hard thank you for doing this!!
Love how open and honest you were in this video! I also was supposed to move out this fall but bc of the pandemic I’ve delayed it so I totally get how you feel like you are a failure. But you totally are not it’s whatever time is best for you!!
Honestly, thank you for this, for opening up and being honest. I really needed to hear these things, specially from someone like you, who I admire so much. Thank you, Margot 🧡
I'm a new subscriber and I am so glad this is one of the first videos I've watched of yours, your real, raw and smart too, it's refreshing. It would be such a bad decision to move to NYC right now, definitely stay home and focus on the life you have there. Good content can be made in any city, it doesn't matter where you base yourself :) Just reconnect with your soul and the good stuff will come :)
You’re my role model margot, even tho we are the same age but your wisdom and your outlook on life inspires me. I appreciate your honesty so much and how genuine you are. ❤️
I really struggled to get a job post grad. I JUST got a job, and even though I moved out, I felt like a failure. Now, I feel like Ive made the wrong decision by moving out early, because I never leave my apt, which is ridiculous. There is no winning in a pandemic!

Honestly wherever you go in life your subscribers will love to see it💕💕
you are so wise I sometimes forget you're 21! You're going to do great things Margot :)
She's 22 now. She turned 22 last month. :)
Shay Smith totally random but I’m currently a senior applying UD for the fall and it’s easily become my top school any advice or important info about the school :)
@@lauraelena8212 Do you mean the fall of 2021?

Margot! I lived in Canada for 2 years - best decision I ever made to go abroad! It makes you who you are and is unreal!! No regrets
I NEED a margot lee podcast!!! cant wait
As a 2020 grad boy oh boy is this relatable
literally love this video so much!

I know it’s a difficult time for dreams and goals to come true, but eventually all falls back into place, you just keep being you and keep walking forward

do a fall lookbook! we love law of attraction video's. Your quartine videos put me at ease. Dont stop!
my biggest goal right now is 100% to live/work abroad at some point and I’m obsessed with Damon’s account too ... not finished with this video but I already love it 🥺
Love you Margot... thanks for being brave and sharing this. It’s very comforting to know that I’m not alone in overthinking, living abroad, goals, etc. definitely look up to you! And would love to meet you in person ;)
i look up to you so much margot!! i’m a freshman ad/pr major at penn state and i’ve taken so much of your advice here with me, thank you❤️
I absolutely love that you shared what your dealing with in terms of having a certain goal and navigating your way to achieving it .
I am so excited to see where your life takes you and love how you have used this time to make relatable content for so many recent grads and current college students- also a FULL SEND for the podcast; I feel like you have so much wisdom and it's something that could grow over time just like your channel has ahh
i can not WAIT for you to start a podcast omg !!!! favorite youtuber by far
TAKe the LEAP MARGOT!!! We will support you sis u got this
Love you and this channel, you're so real and inspiring! It's reassuring to see that we all feel the same struggles especially post grad!
You seem genuinely so happy when talking about your boyfriend, so happy for you!
OMG YASSS Damon’s videos definitely motivate me to live over sea’s!!
I’m in the same boat of living at home post grad and it’s been hard for me too! But I have really loved your content including lately and i think if you’re sharing what’s going on with you, the good and bad, people will always relate somewhere and that never goes out of style 💗

Thanks for posting this, this is the real post-grad experience, especially now!! I love your videos because they're so genuine and honest!! Sending love xx
That was the most organized and well thought “word vomit” that I’ve seen in a q+a format or in a video so personal like this 😅✨
just what i need on a friday after finishing two chem labs! loving the all your recent uploads
I have been feeling like such a failure as well, nowhere close to financially affording my own apartment, and graduated in May and have yet to find a full time job. It’s so hard now esp with the pandemic.
I really enjoyed watching this video. I feel like you opened up more and it felt really refreshing
I love when you get real Margot! It really feels like we’re just chatting!
You’re the most relatable TH-camr out there. Thank you for opening up💘
You’re amazing Margot! I’ve loved ur videos from quarantine ❤️ i know u will be in the city soon!! Best wishes!
Margot
You’re such an inspiration to so many!! I look up to you tremendously, big sis I never had
totally continue acting, even if it's in a decade or whatever!! acting is for all ages
I loved this! Thank you for being open and raw with us. We are here for you!!
I really struggled to get a job post grad. I JUST got a job, and even though I moved out, I felt like a failure. Now, I feel like Ive made the wrong decision by moving out early, because I never leave my apt, which is ridiculous. There is no winning in a pandemic!
Margot i dont know if you read this or not !! But i've been watching you for 4 years now and i havent even missed one of your videos !! And it's not about where you are or what you are doing !! I just can connect with you for so many reasons !! So i will watch you no matter what your content is
Love xX
This gave me so much inspiration to go after my dreams! Thank you so much!
