    Bro, this helped me a lot. You’re a legend. Everyone other ALC is complete garbage compared to every other TH-camr.
    This will absolutely help the majority of apex community. Not everyone can play 12 hours a day with a $600 controller to play on a 7-5 linear.
    I was brainwashed to believe low deadzone was mantory which forced me to low on a low sens so everything wasn’t so twitchy.
    This will absolutely fix my horrible hipfire problem.

    Increasing the deadzone for me just made my fine aiming less twitchy, its a little above the default (in my experience, my controller is kind of weird) - dont be afraid to up that and see how your aim is effected by it because I used to think small deadzone would be the best until I started testing it. Ive doubled the amount of damage Ive done by doing this.

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Same with me I used to have no deadzone but it was too twitchy! Alot of people forget that the older 360 and ps controllers had more tension which made aiming more smooth and less twitchy. The industry standard is less tension which requires an increase on things like deadzone and response for some people.

      So I won’t lie dead zone is person preference and what ever helps you i have my dead zone -5 from default and I have stuck drift but I feel since I’m constantly moving my stick I don’t rlly notice it unless I’m sitting still and it helps my aim

    • @xxisoyvnginxx-7427
      @xxisoyvnginxx-7427 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Btw if u turn ur dead zone down a lot like I did making it linear will cause a huge increase in stick drift along with it being super responsive so if u go linear use a higher dead zone or u can go -2 from default response curve and -5 deadzone

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      low or Higher deadzone is, like all settings, are personal preference. Ihave a higher deadzone because it helps cancel left and right inputs that I don't want , which straightens my aim. I haved used linear and was good with linear but changing my settings feels better with more deadzone and response.

    All the other ALC guides on youtube: Shows their settings and says it's personal preference so copy it or don't, pretty much just leaving you in the dark if their settings aren't good for you.
    Restless Undead's ALC guide: Explains in detail the perfect way to understand and figure out which settings work best for you.

  • @riotfist9747
    @riotfist9747 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Best way to do this is to have a person in the lobby with you and track them. You'll be able to train your aim assit and regular aim at the same time. Have them run left and right then jumps for vertical. Adjust your regular aim then adjust per optic which is effected by the standard sensitivity aswell. This will have you aiming like a pc and mouse player with free aim and movement. You should also play around with shortening your range on controller which sounds bad but this helps with speed since itll take your full input up until that point which means you'll get to that point faster.

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct! Almost nobody I talk to will ever take the time to adjust their Sensitivity settings like that. Doing 1v1s in Firing range helps fine tune your tracking in all aspects but sadly everyone's ego is on the line when just practicing.

    • @riotfist9747
      @riotfist9747 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@restlessundead8606 not a 1v1, just a test dummy to track. You could do this afterwards to simulate a real fight and refine it that way. And true, it's hard to find people willing to do that,luckily I have friends and family that I play with willing to be test rats for me. I've spent like at least 200 hours out of my 2000 hours in the firing range trying to fine tune my aim to come up with a method that insures good movement and aiming i.e one part tracking a friend left and right while you track them. Then I accrued a couple hundred videos to make sure you're sensitivity for controller is broken. Once I did that I went from 0.79 to 1.20 in two seasons and i got my first 3k in season 5 from there on the out I've been getting better and better.
      I'm thinking to release a video for it or maybe pass it on to someone else.

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you have your per optic setting turned on it does. Short version is adjust each sight individually in small amounts. Long version is fine tune it by having a friend run back and forth in firing range and see if you can keep your aim on them for each sight. Hope that helps.

    Hey man coming back to this video as I got back into apex. If I’m struggling with my horizontal recoil at mid/long range how would I tweak my alc settings ? Is it similar to the vertical where if it’s drastic I raise the ads sensitivity for left and right?

    • @restlessundead8606

      So the further you shoot the harder it is to control recoil. One thing that i do sometimes is use my left stick to control recoil. Check out my How to control Recoil 3 ways video. Some guns make it easier to control recoil with your left stick. If you fight the recoil with your left stick then your right stick only has to track your target. Check it out and let me know. In other words your left stick can help control the Horizontal part of the recoil.

      @restlessundead8606  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go for it! I have an alc settings video that might help. The one thing I would recommend is if you play on Classic response keep your response curve the same for alc. The line that you see in the ALC Response curve setting is DEFAULT which is the same as Classic response for regular settings. Start off maybe with only adjusting Yaw and Pitch to your liking. Also adjust ADS yaw and pitch to control recoil when you aim down your sights. Leave the extra yaws and pitches at zero. Ramp and delays leave those at zero as well. Usually people set their left and right and then Pitch is a few ticks below that. Find something that is not too slow and not too fast. then adjust from there. Good way to start i think...

    • @NME_Smox
      @NME_Smox 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@restlessundead8606 Hm... Okay maybe that's the thing why I didn't feel confi with the alc, I tried to make a mix of classic and linear response curve but playing with classic curve on the normal settings. And the thing with the hip fire is, that when is feel confi with the hip fire sens. I feel too slow for movement. The ads settings r pretty good now I think. Got almost the Lazer u have but can't get the hipfire go well with having fast movement too. (and sorry if my English is a little bit bad, I'm from Germany xD)

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have fast movement set how you like it, then you can turn down Yaw one tick and increase the Extra Yaw one tick. You have to have a balance for those. This way your hipfire is controllable and Extra Yaw kicks in only when you need to turn fast.

      if you overshoot or your aim is all over the place turn the sense down. Extra yaw and pitch kicks in when you turn the stick all the way to one side. If you lower regular pitch and yaw, you may want to increase extra yaw and extra pitch.... That may help. ADS yaw and pitch work the same only when you aim down your sight. If you feel the extra part kicks in too quickly then increase the ramp... I normally do not like putting a delay on much these days. But find the balance between pitch and yaw and the extra.

    I can’t see how adding latency could help. Or how deadzone could possibly affect your aim left to right. Setting up your vertical then doing deadzone just doesn’t make sense. All I can think of is aim assist possibly kicking in more.

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you can have no deadzone and your aim is laser straight then increasing deadzone will not benefit you. When you adjust vertical sense you are dialing in the general setting you will feel comfortable fighting recoil. This assumes your response curve is where you want. You may still need to come back and increase vertical sense after increasing deadzone. Increasing deadzone fixes 1 thing for a particular person. Some players can't pull the stick straight down when fighting recoil. As a player pulls down they may be slightly pulling to the left or right more. Increasing deadzone will not allow some of those left or right inputs that deviate your aim when fighting vertical recoil. This will in turn require you to pull more down to fight recoil vertically. Deadzone is a circle of unregistered input at the center of where your stick rests. To fight vertical recoil you pull down enough to break past the deadzone on the bottom side of the circle. You still are at the center of that deadzone when it comes to the left and right. So if I pull down enough to register and fight vertical recoil then I would have to pull just as much to the left or right before it will register those side inputs. That is why you would increase it enough to cancel side inputs but not crank it up all kinds to make your vertical sense too sluggish. Keeping a balance between the two is key.

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When you turn on ALC settings it has it's own per optic settings for each sight. I think they are all default to 1.0 which means at 1.0 it matches whatever your pitch and yaw is in ads. So if you put it to 1.2 it is 20% faster for that sight specifically. Hope that answered your question.

    • @restlessundead8606

      You can. You definately do not want to crank up your deadzone super high. What I have done myself is lowered my ADS left to right and increased my Extra ADS Yaw... which i believe is the extra left and right. This way while you aim at your target your okay and if they move quickly with a jump pad or zip you will be able to track them and keep up.

  • @LightUpCuz
    @LightUpCuz 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This is terrible advice for anybody that genuinely wants to improve their aim. Changing your sensitivity to improve your aim will be so inconsistent and you will have negative results with different guns and ranges. If you want to improve your aim and recoil control 90% of your time in the range should be shooting blue targets.
    If you do not have amazing aim you SHOULD NOT touch ALC settings. I'm a competitive Warzone player with 80,000 kills, I've played Apex since Season 10 w/3800 games played I have 4K20 on 5 Legends and finally got to masters last split with so many terrible teammates and some great ones off discord. I'm a beginner and I have no ego coming into this game because the skill gap is unbelievable, there is so much more to winning a 1v3 than just aim so i have so much still to improve.
    If you want to get good at any game, go and find out what 99% of pro players use as their settings not your favourite flashy youtuber. Someone who's income depends on every gunfight they're about to have for Call of Duty this is 6-6 and for Apex Legends it some what varies but for the most part its 4-4 classic.
    I'm not saying this is the perfect sensitivity for everybody but I can tell you for a fact if you're on controller and don't have good aim on a low sensitivity like 4-4 or 4-3 then you need to practice your aim, not going changing your yaw and pitch speed to make up for your terrible thumb movement.
    th-cam.com/video/S6VpGzsU2lE/w-d-xo.html For anybody who cares about getting better change your sensitivity to 4-4 Classic, watch this video and do every drill as slowly as you can making sure your dont miss any shots. in 10 minutes you will see with your own eyes how easy it is to improve on this game. Do this everyday before you play, i dont care how bad you are right now you will be dropping 4ks in a few weeks :)

    • @restlessundead8606
      @restlessundead8606  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You literally are missing the whole point of this video...this video only addresses ONE particular problem. There is a small amount of time given to possible issues with someone's Sense in this video. You can't make this adjustment to deadzone if your sense is not where you want it. If it is a standard 4-4 then great. The video you reference is exercises for target acquisition... Which is great for everyone wanting to get better... Verhulst is using ALC but recomends 4-4. My video is not for target acquisition. How do you one mag a dummy by not moving in his video. Recoil control is how, which he does not explain. Any video anyone makes will not cover everything. My video is not One Video to rule all other videos. There is people that will watch that video and not get better. There are people that will never get a 20 kill game or even above a 2k or maybe never get a 2k... No ego, you have good stats but not sure why that matters. Some people might think your flexing but to each their own. Thank you for stopping by.
