definitely West up i was in philly bumpin Cube all day everyday. him and Scarface. and, i was with Face more but it was only by like a tiny bit. amerikkka most had me like i was one of them crazy white boys i was wili like dat. callin girl biches and what not i lost my baddest girlfriend because of Cube!! llol throwin stuff around the house when it come on, drinkin 800s, i aint care nothin bout a female. the funny thing is, i had plenty females then but now when im decent guy i cant get one lol when i was talkin like IceCube they was knockin on my door lol
I remember that summer like it was yesterday. Summing it up in words is impossible. Cube is among the titans of MCs, in the pantheon of legends.
I remember it too I was 14 banged out Crippin' crazy. I was writin' flows so that was inspirational to me and it made me a better rapper because my goal was I gotta write something better than what I heard
@@pystolloc That's dope man.
Cube was hungry than a mf
trill talk
One more thing, M.C. Ren was another untamed animal in the game back then. He doesn't get recognized but gotdamn. Just check him out.
Kizz My Blacc Azz!!
Shock Of The Hour is a dope MC Ren album as well
Thank ya'll for dropping knowledge on my 🐐 Ice cube.. For some reason people forget Ice cube was B4 2PAC s/O TO pac but people have foggy memories or go off media based stuff, CUBE WAS 1st
As a teenager in Baltimore back in the late 80's and early 90's, i used to get clowned on for listening to west coast hip hop. I was on everything from King T. to Kid Frost to Comptons Most Wanted and one of my all time favorites to this day, Ice-t. But when N.W.A. dropped they took the east coast by storm and the clowning stopped. Ice Cube is top 5 MC of all time in my book.
SHHIIIIDDD you loved good gangsta music! U named all our greats! Long Beach California tappin in!!
We listened to Kool G Rap… an East Coast gangsta artist. Also, I would get clowned for listening to Gangsta Nip outta Houston. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
We like what we like
I never heard of King t untill the feature on xzibit negatively positive
@kionwilson3714 I love west coast hip hop!
They was bobbin’ they head too. East love the west and it shows both ways. You were a leader and they were followers. I had the same problem! Norfolk, Va in the house

Checking in from East Africa, Tanzania!
Once upon a time in the projects.... Cube should have made a video for this one.
Cube is THE greatest storyteller in hip hop. Period.
Ice cube is definitely top 10! more bars than snickers!! Being the Bay I was introduced to boys in the hood and swear on the trip back from Los Angeles I was a big fan. I took a minute to except Easy on the mic at the time.
AMERIKKKAS MOST... Set the pace for the rest of the WEST. In 1991...CALIFORNIA Blew the House Down. The WEST Put a PERMANENT DENT in this Here.
Nuff Respect to Crooked I, Tray-Dee
San Pedro in the house patnas

They ask me did I like Arsenio, about as much as the bicentennial
Yo, I appreciate you guys so much. This is one of the best breakdowns on ice cubes. America’s most wanted I’ve ever had the pleasure of hearing! I remember the day this came out it was a couple days after my birthday birthday, and I will say I am from the east and I’ve never had Any type of regency bias, I love hip-hop too much to take on such a ridiculous stance! What this album meant may go over some peoples heads it actually gave a lot of credence to true MC’s outside of NY/NJ ! it opened the eyes of so many and also I am sure it gave aspiring hip-hop artist from other regions a lot of hope, knowing they could be accepted in hip-hop! I’m going to subscribe and make sure I tune in more, I’m not sure if you guys covered this, but I always tell people ice cube had the best start of his career to any hip-hop artist in the history even if you just take his first 4 solo albums I don’t think it can be matched. I do wanna hear your opinions on it because I value your contributions , your knowledge on the genre and keep making that great music and giving us gems !
Detroit love to our Cuzin's out there in Cali, 👑🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶6mile
The background behind his army of men is downtown Los Angeles at the intersection of South Broadway and W Olympic Blvd facing northeast.
Wow I never knew that! We never put much thought into where the photo was taken. Being from Long Beach I actually thought it was taken in NY! 😂
@@kionwilson3714 Always knew it was Downtown LA. It looked to familiar.
Long Beach legends! Shout out king park and VIP records kelvin Anderson. One love. Rip to all the fallen soldiers. Peace
Dj Pooh & Ricky Harris (RIP) still to me have the dopest St. Ides commercial when they fall asleep behind the wheel. Bro, they puttin on!!!!!

This podcast is dope, all three bringing knowledge and flavour! Speaking of classic albums though, a Crook and Tray Deee joint album would be powerful, Circle of Bosses & Supreme Circle taking over! 🚾🚾🚾🚾
Great show. Loving the first 2 episodes. Please keep it going.
You got an Eastsider, a Doggy’s Angel, and 1 quarter of the Slaughter…..I’m locked all the way in for this pod
Don't forget Crooked was once signed to Death Row after Snoop & Tray Dee left.
So both are also former Death Row affiliates.

Big tray dee general
Amerikkka’s Most Wanted album cover photo was taking in L.A. Fashion District
At 12 years old in 1990, this was my very( first) hip hop album I ever brought. I copped this from the Chinese record store in Brooklyn New York. Think I paid $17.99 plus tax for the cassette tape.
Damn we didn't pay that much in California... I can't remember how much I paid I know it wasn't $18
@@pystollocNah, our tapes were $8.99-$12.99 at the most! $18 is insane!! 😂
I remember going to The Wherehouse & or Sam Goody….. Or VIP in the city… Long Beach
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 just what I've been looking for
How can we financially support the podcast? Salute Coniyac, Crooked I, and LBC's 5 star general BIG Tray Deee!!!
Tray Deee a legend. Coniyac still fine. 🙌🏾
I went straight to Sam Goody's and copped the tape. 12 noon. Me and Eric Gray, God bless the dead. It was a Tuesday or Wednesday. Once I heard the 2nd song, Amerikkka's Most Wanted, I knew it was a banger.
That 19th St LBC Comp needs to drop in all streaming services
Deee with a podcast! Salute King

👌🏿PASADENA ON DA CHECK IN!👊🏿
I down with the podcast
That album was the second rap album I had, the first was hammer please don't hurt em more west coast but I'm from chicago. I just finished 6th grade going to 7th, when one of the older gs who lived next door let me hold that, then the kill at will ep. Maan that summer was the bomb when I was just getting into rap music. So many classics dropping back to back.
Amazing album. I was 13, seventh grade, G Nikes (Cortez), Jordan 5's. Dickies, locs and white tees, in Chicago. West Coast influence was so tight, we was rockin Compton hat's n the 312/773 all the way to Texas...I used to fall asleep listening to this with images of his words in my dreams, that's how heavy this album was...Shout out to you OG's for posting this one, salute
Ice cube verse on Grand Finale was one of Cubes coldest verses.👑💪🏾
Dope show! Good vibes 🍻🍻
Great points and views on Cube's lyrics by Tray Deee, well said Cuz that's From Pystol Loc ES 103 Front Street Watts ©️ 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Man I’m glad y’all podcast randomly came up on my feed within the past two or three days. I am really loving the content so far and think it’s a brilliant idea to see three great emcees breaking down such classic album’s like this Cube album and Nipsey’s - Victory Lap album. That made me subscribe and really look forward to seeing more content.
It is also great to see how much of an influence Cube is and still is to y’all and so many other emcees throughout the year’s. Easily in my top five emcees of all-time and though he still does get a lot of credit for being a great emcee, I think in a lot of ways he still doesn’t get as much credit as he should in being in more top five and/or GOAT emcee conversation’s. Which I think is also partially cause of a lot of the newer generation knowing him more for his movies and/or the Big 3 rather than his work as an actual emcee/music artist.
Also that’s dope that like Cube you’re a fellow Gemini and June born too, ConiYac. Cause I actually am myself too and like your birthday June 14th being a day before Cube’s on June 15th. Mine is a day before yours on June 13th.
Dope crew my Gz💎

That cover to the album was on Broadway and Olympic.. I meant cube after DJing a show a few years ago ice cube is my favorite rapper saying that when I met him I took account of 11 off this album and did such😊
My favorite Cube album 🔥 these are the conversations I love 🔥 in 1990 I was pregnant with my 3rd son but still fresh 🤣
#COB 🏴🏳️🏴
Brother O'shea aka Ice Cube is the greatest rap lyricist of the greatest city of no pity, boulevard of broken Hollywood dreams and East LA schemes, jacking beats and handing defeats with No Vaseline since wiping activator off mics since 1985... West Coast G-funk baby. Accept no substitutes.
Man I’m glad my algorithm blessed me with this video. Automatic subscriber 🫡💪🏾💯
The crazy thing about that is they actually played it on the radio ALOT “once upon a time)
My favorite hip-hop album of all time no joke
DYC that’s what I’m talkin bout 💨💨
peace and respect condolences legends
I had this joint on constant rotation at the pad bacc in the day. AMERIKKKAS MOST WANTED best eye opening album of all time, and it still resonates today.
peace and respect legends
2 of my favorites Crook n The General
Wow I am late to the game on this but the good news is there is so many awesome episodes y'all are great
It was a blessing cube broke up with NWA. He gave us this classic
Same as busta rhymes with leaders of the new school but they kicked him out while he was filming higher learning with his co partner in the film ice cube
My thing was that Cube said one time in a interview that most of "America's Most Wanted" was written for the next N.W.A album. Imagine if Cube would have never left NWA how dope the next NWA album would have been!!!!
That whole summer its all younheard in strees heard in California in summer 95
Dope
We need a new Eastsidaz album 💿 on Death Row & a new KXNG CROOKED album 💿 in Death Row
