My FAVOURITE Chocolate Plant Based Treat!

  • Be careful making these healthy little chocolate peanut butter treats as they are just so good you will want to eat them all at once! It's a family favourite to have on hand in our household and so great that they are plant based and dairy/gluten free. So quick and easy to make and it's always good to have a bite of dark chocolate once a day to add to your "fermented" group of daily foods to eat to build up your gut biome. Dark chocolate contains antioxidants, flavonols as well as polyphenols that aid in building up your healthy good gut biome bugs on top of so many other wonderful benefits.
    🌱 Welcome to our channel where you will find lots of great whole food recipes and healthy lifestyle tips to live a long and healthy life. All our recipes are made with real food, whole foods and are all plant based, vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and mostly gluten free. We easily lost so much weight and got healthy so quickly and you can too! 🌱
    Ingredients:
    1.5 cups dark chocolate chips or bar (if using higher than 72% dark chocolate you will want to add 1-2 Tbs of maple syrup or agave to sweeten this up a bit)
    ½ cup natural peanut butter
    2 cups rice puffs
    1 Tbs coconut oil
    Instructions:
    -Melt chocolate and coconut oil with a double boiler method or microwave. **If using a microwave only do 20 seconds at a time and stir between each time frame.
    -Once Chocolate is melted add ½ cup peanut butter and mix in well
    -Add 2 cups of rice puffs and mix until all rice puffs are covered in chocolate mixture
    -Place equal amounts into your mini muffin tray or alternatively you can place even spoonfuls onto a parchment lined baking tray.
    -Place in the fridge for 1-2 hours until chocolate is hardened or, even better, place in the freezer if you are too excited to eat them and want them to firm up sooner!

    I love that you use the rice puffs - Rice Krispies have barley malt making them not gluten free. This is an amazing gluten free recipe.
