- The “Perfect” CJRB Locust Folding Knife - Full Review & Testing. We have another Kickstarter campaign from CJRB and I like it. This allows them to make a variety of premium variations of a knife that they might not have been able to do. This new one is The Perfect Locust and I love it. In this video we take a closer look at all of the good, bad and we also do some real world testing to see how it performs. What are your thoughts on crowdfunding for knives? What do you think about this particular knife?

I just bought my second cpm s90v Spiro by Asher. I have least 10 Asher knives, mostly Spiros because their so good, and keeps getting better blade steel! Now drop point & wharncliffe in s90v with titanium scales! Their great knives!
I backed the Kickstarter and chose the copper one myself! 🍻🙌
Thanks for your videos! I've learned about so many good options because of your channel!
This and the tenable fenrir my favorite $50-100 knives right now
Spear points aren't usually my jam but I'm digging that full carbon one 😍
Thanks for the reviews.
Yeah cool knife. Was looking at .the early bird myself.
What is 2:25 “This One?” Where can I get that?
Copper handles will begin to emit an odor after a while.
The Artisan Cutlery Boa Another one they did a kickstarter campaign for 🍻
Didn't you say the copper one came with aarp9 steel ?
Why does a “major” knife company need to do kickstarter?
So they don't make 10,000 more than necessary. And they get the money first. It's a win-win.
Secondary lock is optional on the Kickstarter. If the primary plunge lock is done correctly (and there's plenty of evidence that CJRB/Artisan does a good one), there's no need for the secondary lock. It clutters the design, can get activated by accident and mess up the action, and unnecessarily complicates disassembly and reassembly. While plunge locks aren't the most secure option in general, they are plenty good for anything I would use a pocket knife for. With good geometry, I've never had one fail by accident.
@@jonathanklein7875 I like it because I bought 4 different of the original pyrite’s and all 4 failed miserably one almost cut me good so I’ll all for the secondary lock especially with this knife because testing it without the lock on it failed. The only budget company I haven’t had the one fail is Civivi but I’m sure they have had some because no company is perfect
@@Stassa23interesting, I never had a Pyrite fail, but l be sure to keep that in mind (since I have a few). Spine wack is just not something that I'd be worried about in real world use- is that what you were doing? I recently went back to a Civivi Conspirator and I'm blown away by how good it is...I actually appreciate how it's got a little bit of lock stick because it gives me haptic feedback that the lock is engaged. It's bank vault every time!
Why are knife companies dking kickstarters?
Hard pass, absolutely can't stand the fake edge look of that spearpoint. I respect that other folks might like it but definitely not for me. Also not a fan of thumb disks
Handle too short. Needs 4.5"
First. Ha ha
