Devs: let's put a lot of platforms to climb in order to collect the objectives, and also lock some paths behind unlockables which must be obtained by progressing further into the game This guy: hehe double jump go brrr
I played this game on my mom's PC so much when I was a kid. This was before we had internet at home, and I could never beat the elevator level because I didn't know what key to press in order to launch the grappling hook! 😂
I laughed seeing all the possible jump points to get around the obstacles. So ridiculous and so smart. What I don't get is at 6:16 it shows all 5 tokens for Andy's Backyard being solved but the RC race didn't seem to get done in the run-through.
@@SolarsonOh, late night me did not pick up the dimmed pizza planet token for the race in the initial run of the 2nd level. I saw you made it back later in the video to the time stamp you showed. Great stuff!
Also, it's possible to leave a boss level and move on if their damage level is almost depleted? I noticed you would quit right before the the boss would explode.
@@JesseSlomowitz If you do the last bit of damage to a Boss then you can exit before they die which will skip the "Bonus Reward" movie and save a lot of time. They are already dead when I exit the level.
@@Solarson Smart move. Wish I saw this video before I did a full playthrough on my PS5 to get all the trophies for my 10th time playing in my life. I think I did 6 hours.
21:00 I absolutely love ”Al’s Toy Barn”, and especially, the sports section and its obstacle course -like nature; but, last time I played it (last Sunday), a fucking tennis ball knocked me off the skateboard, and into the fucking slime. That was a cheap shot, if I ever saw one! 🤬
are you bot ?? 😂 if i had played like that i wouldn't have enjoyed the game at all, anyways good speed run, you brought my childhood memories back, thank you
The trick at 19:17 is a trick that I think I've seen get used in a PS Speedrun, but I don't think I've seen it get used in a PC Speedrun before. Anyways, congrats on the 46 and WR.
Also, amplified. The Jackhammer Boss, for instance, was a lot less audible, in the PS1 version, which created potential jumpscares; as was the Buzz Lightyear Buggy Boss. 😅
Im surprised you got the game to run this well. I remember trying to replay it 2 times in my life from the original cd-rom. One time I got stuck on Zurg (emporor Zurg bug). The other time (a few years later) i had a bug where the grapple hook didnt work and couldn't progress past the elevator level. I just gave up after that.
The Zurg bug was fixed by the community. At the time of this run I wasn't using the patch to fix it so I had to corner him in order to kill the boss. But you can download the game directly from speedrun.com/toys2 and replay it. ^^
Its pretty sad to see people make gaming about... "I CAN DO IT FASTER THAN YOU CAN" Instead of just vibing with it Being a speed runner must be the most miserable sad job to have. Constantly checking your back for someone who will inevitably break your record making your time obsolete and huge waste of time, not to mention the EMOTIONAL damage of being Constantly beat by probably .5 seconds...
I'm just vibing with it too? I also don't do it as my job. It can be a pretty fun hobby. It's just like getting "good" at any other gaming related thing, think of it like a racing game but on a 3D platformer. You can probably make a comparison with the Olympics somewhere here, is their job a waste of time also because their times will eventually get beat? Many don't even make it to the top, is that a waste? If everyone thought someone would do it better/faster so it's a "waste of time" then the world wouldn't develop in any form. :)
damn i am surprised you could finish alleys and gullies without grappling hook and what is surprising too is that the hook itself is obtainable already in this chapter as seen in 14:50, devs probably didn't expect anyone to exploit double jump trick

You unlocked so many memories... Congrats!
Clicked this video at random but I wanted to say: This game has FANTASTIC music, especially for a license-based game.
terrified of the bosses as a kid
The trash can boss scared me lol
@@majorpeepo For me, it was the Jackhammer boss.

Insane strats, and a crazy run 😮!
they did a great job making this game feel bigger than it really was. I miss the SNES/N64 days
This game deserves a remake.
This game NEEDS a remake.
Been following Level reDesign, he's doing the first level at least in Unreal 5 - th-cam.com/video/Sx1LGtik7yo/w-d-xo.html
This really brings me back to simple times of my life care free i miss it..
Incredible music in this brings back memories when i played as a kid
18:40 That's how I always defeat the dinosaur boss in Al's Toy Barn every time I play this game.
Just downloaded this on my ps5 from the classics game section.. this is WAY harder than i remember.
This game had great music Lvl 8 Buzz store and 9 were epic music
This was my first game once I got my PS1. I didn't go to school that day 😂
What an incredibly fun game this is.
Toy Story 2 walked so Super Mario Galaxy could run
(Nice run BTW!)
This is when Buzz Lightyear becomes an extension of the self.
29:40 That mouse can absolutely kill a run, if you’re not careful; or, if you’re just having bad RNG.
Dude you played so smooth I almost slipped and fell.

I didn't know about that skip before at 14:22! I tried it myself but it seems to be very hard to do!

Когда у тебя 1 час обеда на работе. Еще чай успеешь попить
idk how I ended up here but nicely done
J'y ai passé mon enfance pour venir à bout du jeu, il a pris 47 min
Man this took me weeks ....
This also took me months so don't worry.
I just finally completed this childhood game, then I came here and laughed for 50m straight at my dumbass..😂

I couldn't do this even if I only played this game for the rest of my life.
This would actually be a beautiful game to fully remake
Someone is actually working at least on the first level - th-cam.com/video/Sx1LGtik7yo/w-d-xo.html
Weird… compared to the PS1 version… the sound effects here all sound as though they’ve been pitched/sped up.
