Ron’ great video, nice idea regarding the stern light. Painting the deck section on the clear rear patt would look good and cover your lighting wire. Happy everything Ron.😊

What a wonderfully cosy episode, Ron. You really are something - a perfect antidote to all the "stuff" that life throws at you.
Please try the little lamp! Is there some way of roughing up the light's surface? It might shine better "sideways" having a surface detail rather than that shiny exterior 💡

Getting closer to your kind of Winter weather Ron! Little bit of snow and 20 degrees Fahrenheit! No beach day this week 😂

Hi Ron, nice episode. How about removing the plastic first, like carefully filing it away, for the light and then all that’s left to do is just drill a hole for the LED to fit through. Might be easier rather than having to drill the hole the complete length of the plastic as after all you’ll need to remove some plastic anyway.

Go for it Ron. It will work. Add a piece of foil to the top and back side of the shell of the lamp holder, before paint to block the light. Running the wires as you said are prefect. Good luck. BTW, Nigel is one cool dude, been watching hm for a bit Cheers kiddo.

Tell Max I worked diligently with the Canada Post to get that there in two months and on a day when he needed something to make him smile.
Thank you both for the kind words. See ya. JimE

Great episode Ron. Probably too late but Tara had the thought of leaving the plastic lense in place after you drill and just letting the light shine through. Take care n see you next episode.

Hi Ron, your thought process for the stern light is great. On going forward, would it help to put a spot of paint on top & one side of the led, if concern is it glowing through the plastic?

Hi Ron yes a white light on the rear lol I actually looked it up and yes it’s white 😊😊😊, we’re expecting 42c this week, so not looking forward to it 😂😂😂don’t want to mention humidity! I know you don’t want to but it would look better if you painted the rear and left a window for what needs to be seen, but that’s just me 😊😊😊😊see you tomorrow

Ron...Here is an idea that might work. Could you paint with the air brush all the smaller parts still on the spru all at once. They would be easyer to hold and you could lean them up to dry Then remove them and clean them up. After that touch them up with a paint brush.
