how to apply cyclic load slowly (to avoid oscillation behavior) for beam-column joint in Abaqus/explicit? trying to add more time periods but it's still resulting oscillated curve so badly (caused by the inertia effect), any advice? it's for concrete using CDP. thanks

I am working on similar models and trying to reproduce results provided in the journal paper. But while using beam size less than 1mm. I used to get very high temperature values. Can you provide any suggestions?
