    Fashion defines who we are and the way you dress defines how people see you. We Muslims who wear the hijab wants to be accepted for who we are! Just like everyone else! Thank you Hoda for bringing us this amazing type of Fashion! It makes people see the hijab from a different perspective.

    so many of her points can be visibly seen by the sheer disproportionate ratio of views to comments. ~2800 views and only 15 comments and an avg of 2.5 likes for each comment.
    The fact that so few of us are even responding to this video or feel comfortable enough to comment or like to this video speaks volumes...

    • @nostalgia545
      @nostalgia545 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because what she says is crap. That's why no one is responding. What speaks volumes, is that she speaks about ethics and morals and calls out western imperialism, but she never calls out the active executions, wide spread terror, and torture of the government of Iran. It's so hypocritical.

      Because general people are not even educated to comprehend in depth what she's saying. Because only few people understand things deep down the roots. Most people are most interested in stupid things then the reality.

    Iranians are not homeless in the name of capitalism, their actresses do not have to make a skinny look to earn their livelihood. Iranians are neither wealthy nor poor. Iranians lead a stress free life, can sleep tight without taking a pill. What is the value of money when it becomes the reason of your depression? Earn a decent salary thats covers your basics is the best approach to life. What the status 'rich' have given South Korea? A society with suicide pandemic, insomania. 18 trillion dollar economy can not give $2000 to each of its 320 million pandemic hit people. can't provide 5% people with life saving ventilators that left 100000 people die without treatment. USA can't protect itself from cold and fever while stupidly boast itself to be world superpower. Iran is far better off as compared to gun shooting culture of USA.

    the fun thing about every Hoda Kotebi talk and interview is that she'll always talk about Iran and the US in a very nuanced manner, where she talks about the Iranian government negatively (here, the govt. turning off the Internet and enforcing a dress code which is the WHOLE POINT of the talk, that those laws have forced fashion underground) and US foreign policy issues (sanctions, etc.), and invariably there'll be people in the comments saying "well she didn't yell about Iran enough for me, so that must mean she condones everything the Iranian government does!" ???? a HUGE part of her work is showing that the Iranian people don't agree with what their government is doing and how they're expressing themselves through fashion even though there's a dress code... are y'all not understanding the talk or

    I am born and raised in the USA, I’m a Muslim woman and I wish to dress modestly without showing my body, I love the Iranian nomad women’s dress, if I was childbearing the clothes would work, if you are past childbearing these clothes are excellent. Unfortunately, I can’t find a pattern to make the dress, and the clothes sold as modest in the US is really watered down and not modest at all. Please help me find a Iranian clothing store (women). Thank you.

    not even one word on the forced compulsory hijab policy in iran? not even 1? you know what does fashion operate underground in iran are all the clothes and new designs that the jomhuriye eslamiye bans because it wants to cover women up. if youre not iranian, do know this, that before demanding minority rights other countries we iranias should talk and speak about the 100x times worse oppression and moral policing.

    Iran has a rich culture, and the countries that call Iran terrorists are terrorists themselves, 😆and they're just angry that Iran doesn't support terrorists😉The United States, which has twice carried out a nuclear attack because Japan didn't pay the ransom, is very nervous because it cannot do the same with Iran. So all they're doing is telling very incredible lies about Iran.😂❤love U Hoda :))

    The notion that the Pahlavi time was under British Imperialism rule is wrong. Having relations with other countries doesn't mean that you are under their rule. Second of all, the Pahlavi hat is not ugly. What is ugly is this girl and her hajab.

    The fact that this interview is all about gender fluidity, but she's talking about hijab, identity and culture, completely ignoring the fact what Hijab signifies. It signifies modesty. And Islam is so much more, the history did not begun in 19th century. You must read Quran and learn history to know. She is wrong! They're all 'commodifying' the hijabi look, thats all, just so they can corrupt the minds of the muslim youth!

      Yep, South Korea is another example, after the Korean war it was one of the poorest countries in the world, but look at it now, it's one of the most developed countries today. Still blaming everything on past European colonialism and USA imperialism is just a way to blame someone else instead of looking at the real problems.
