- Euroviisijen toisessa semifinaalissa esitettiin väliaikanumero, jossa näytettiin miltä viisut olisivat näyttäneet jo ne olisivat järjestetty Suomessa.

They tried to make fun of Finns but accidentally got the crowd wild for the banger.
They did not make fun of finns in a meanspirited say, this was actually on purpose meant to be a tribute to Finland, they know Käärijä is popular they not stupid, so obvious they invited him as a present to the fans thinking it might cheer the audience with all the stress and problems going on outside, the fact that they also added the best from Finland in one setting means they did it in a taunting but loving way. Swedes loves the Moomins it's litterly also swedish, the polka tune is a famous finnish tune and popular all over the internet, the sauna comedy is the biggest finnish steriotype ever that they themselves love. It was not ment to make fun of finns, it was only a way to look up to finns but in a slightly taunting way because swedes see finns as siblings.

It is called "roasting", and - as you might have noticed throughout the rest of the act - is done deliberately, and in good spirit. Not surprising since the act is written by Edward af Sillén, the Brazilian-Swedish master roaster of both MelFest and ESC since 2010, the genius behind "What is Eurovision?" and "Love Love Peace Peace".

Tove Jansson the writer/creator of the Moomins was a swedish speaking finn, born in Finland Helsinki but her family is part of the swedish speaking minority in Finland, her mother is swedish finnish (born in Sweden). Her parents had artistic jobs in Sweden so they got their income from Sweden and she herself went and studied art in Stockholm Sweden. As a child her parents had a divorse so she got a full swedish parent too aswell, therefore she lived in both Finland and in Sweden when growing up. During the summers she lived in Sweden and during the winters she lived in Finland. The books she wrote was originally written in swedish while she lived in Sweden as an adult and she did chose to live in the swedish
archipelago together with her swedish lover. On her island she started writing the Moomins as a project. The swedish
archipelago became one of her biggest inspirations for the Moomins but there is inspiration from both Sweden and Finland obviously. She wrote the story based on both countries so it's a nice mix of Sweden and Finland and the characters are based on people she knew from both countries, the main characters are based on her family which is both swedish and finnish people.
In the beginning the Moomins was suppose to be the childrens books for Sweden and she wanted her books and characters to be swedish but she was not successful in Sweden because of bad timing. Sweden's Astrid Lindgren already came out with her successful childrens books just before her so she went to sell it in Finland instead and at first it had almost no success in Finland either until few years later. Tove Jansson is an amazing treasure for both Sweden and Finland now, especially in Finland since it's in Finland she finally got her first success and she was after all born in Finland! Still it's a project done in Sweden with lots of love for both Sweden and Finland. The original texts are written in Swedish so to me The Moomins is just as much Swedish as it is Finnish.

It is called "roasing", and is done in good spirits. When Sweden hosts the ESC, this is an expected staple. We invite our neighbours for a bit of lighthearted ribbing, steeped in large amounts of nostalgia. For example, in 2016, you find both Lordi and Alexander Rybak in "Love Love Peace Peace".

Suomalainen väliaikaesitys oli tosi hyvä, hitsi ehdin näkemään vaan Käärijän esityksen enkä tota Muumiesitystä, mut on Käärijän Cha Cha Cha edelleen hyvä, vaikka It's Crazy it's Party on parempi ja sen olisi pitänyt olla Käärijän viisubiisi mun mielestä. Eilinen Semifinaali part 2 oli tosi hyvä, Norjan ja San Marinon esitykset olivat mun suosikit, ainakin Norja pääsi jatkoon, mut käy sääliksi San Marinoa. Ootan innolla huomista finaalia Marcus and Martinus unforgottable ja Windows95Man No Rules!!! 🎉❤😊
