I found the same fan on ebay. Had to wait 3 weeks to get it from China though. I have been using it on my round kerosene heater. Makes a huge difference in how fast my garage heaters up. I have to make sure it is pulling in cool air and blowing it over top of heater. Otherwise it will overheat. Good idea for using it on the buddy heater.

Easy to use right out the box th-cam.com/users/postUgkxAvrAfikbUEMthp3AZ6iX5FKdiHfzy_RP . Next step is to get a heat activated fan to move the heat. I'm impressed by how long it can go on 1 lbs of propane at the low setting which lasted more than 6hrs. You'll have to adjust it lower than the low setting. Used for personal heating at 30° to 50° at low setting in an open garage, it's quite comfortable. It would warm up a good size single car garage if its closed off.

I purchased the Big Buddy and ordered the twin fan at the same time from Amazon. The fans I have used on my wood stove so knew they worked very well. The combination works better then expected! No power outages but we use it to heat our opened no door bathroom and our no door walk in tile shower. Very good combo!!!

So.....I bought the exact little fan for my Heater Buddy. Before this, I was using a small usb charged fan. First of all, it made a slight noise and had a light on it. Second, who wants to charge it or plug it into something? Y’all get it. We just camped and the temps went into the single digits with high winds. I knew I’d be warm in my 4-person tent regardless, but I was wondering how the fan would perform. I attach mine to the top of the buddy’s heat guard using a small set of channel locks (which get HOT, so get em tight and leave it). In about 40 seconds, those fans start silently and start pushing that hot air out into the tent. No warm air rising above the heater. The winds were beating our tents and I could literally put my hand out and feel the hot slight breeze across the room. Get a fan that can take the high temps of the heater and the design of this one with 8 blades is awesome. Thanks for the post......it really is why I picked this fan setup. 👍. Everyone try the little channel-locks way of attaching if it’s easier for y’all......it’s works great. Much Love.........

I did something similar to what you are doing and I burned it up along with the Buddy Heater handle because of the trapped heat under the fan mount. So I did a re-think, I raised another fan
4 inches higher and wa-la it works great. Plenty of hot air. Of course, I did not use the fan you are showing in your video.

@@dawnmarieleonard9137 Well, let's say it wasn't like the fan shown in the video. I wanted to move a bit more air than that little built in fan. So, I found a 6" plastic fan in my shop and installed it above the heater. I guess I put it to close to the elements and a bit later the smell of burning plastic was in my shop. The fan was plastic and I don't remember the brand name, sorry.

There's a "Big Buddy", too, for larger spaces. They go for about $140. My local Lowe's had a clearance display a couple of weeks ago where they were priced at $89.00, and they had 3 left. I passed on it, went back the next day, gone. My bad.

These types of fans are designed to sit on a flat surface such as the top of a wood stove. The metallic strip on the underside "lifts" the base slightly when over-temperature is detected, allowing it to cool. With your mount, that would not be possible and may explain why a few people are having fan failures.
It's a great mod to the Buddy heater but might be improved by using a flat steel base instead of the bent wires to mount it.

I would need a three fan setup for my big buddy heater because of the three ceramic burner setup. That is a pretty
good setup that you have but if you want to super charge one, you can find a 12 volt 4" 120 mm fan that is rated at
around 130 C.F.M certified, and bridge three of them side by side and run them off an old el-cheapo 3 amp 12vdc or
perhaps even a 13.8 volt pack, and it can blow yah out of the room! With the use of about $67 worth of parts and
a little bit of ingenuity, you can scale it to 390-450 CFM using 13.8 Volts DC, maybe even 14.2 Volts (regulated).
I ran across those high c.f.m fans about 9 months ago and they were being sold by a Server Company on eBay and
they were selling for around 13-15 bucks each (New). The rating that was stated on Amazon is most likely to be so
hyper-inflated as such since these chinesium outfits lie their fricken arses off!!! I saw the rate of rpms on your vid
and it looks nothing like 1970 RPM's nor 430 CFM's!!! More like 1970 between the two combined along with 200 CFM
between the two; re: 100 cfm each; tops!!! I have an eye for that sort of thing and I have experience in two technical
    fields.
