I don't know if it's intentional but I love how their backgrounds almost corresponds to different times of day. The Water Lily character (Alwin?) patrols when dawn breaks. Sunflowers turn was afternoon when she finished preparing the morning pastries. Rose's turn was at dawn and Belladonna roams during midnight. But those could also just be the time they prefer to be out and about the forest. Just a little idea about the characters personality

Add Hyacinths too! And make him a guy because in Greek mythology he and his lover Apollo were playing discus. Zephyr, the west wind was jealous and threw a discus straight through his head. Apollo was sad and turned him into a Hyacinth. So, a discus could be his weapon.

Spooky idea: turn animal skeletons into characters? Might be too morbid, buuut some animal skeletons are pretty funky. Might be fun to stretch the creative muscle a bit to see how you can shape and tweak a skeleton into a design.
My first thought is stingray skeletons. They’re WILD looking!

For Belladonna and air magic, it would also be interesting if she used it for necromancy- like giving the breath back to a dead creature!
Other possible complimentary traits with the characters i thought of:
Both belladona and sunflower are related through post mortem, with belladona postponing death trough necromancy and sunflower repurposing death through cooking.
Both water lily and rose are related through knowledge of nature, with water lily taking the more detailed, less personal approach of studying and rose taking the less detailed, more personal approach of talking directly to the subject. Playing with the idea of one's problems they want solved and one's problems they didn't knew they had.
Both sunflower and rose are related through "positive" manipulation, and the idea of being loved, sunflower charming people with her own culinary skills, while rose charming people with facades.

You could try and design castles / witch houses based on pumpkins, skulls or other halloweeny things to give your existing characters a home :) (and also to challenge yourself, I love trying to give houses a personality)
Sunflower lends herself so well to have a morally-grey sibling with the same powers but more destructive. Maybe something happened in their past and Sunflower had to be the "mature" one, the nurturing one, which led her to be so in touch with her emotions, while her sibling struggled more and became more unwieldy.

I really like the idea of Belladona and Sunflower being sisters of some kind. Whether it be twins, half sisters and even adoptive sisters, the world needs more positive sibling rep that isn't resentful and actually friendly.

I love it when you post, especially character design vids because yes. I screamed when there was a poisonous plant, because I research on them for fun!
Fun fact: In ancient times, it was thought that witches employed a concoction of belladonna, opium poppy, and other potentially toxic plants like monkshood and hemlock in their flying ointments. They supposedly applied these mixtures to aid in their flights to gatherings with fellow witches or to indulge in wild and revelrous celebrations.

Honestly, a mop for a water witch is perfect. Its silly, but when ya think about it, it makes more sense. They live by the water, they do magic with water, theyre probably gonna end up with puddles on their floor at some point.

I feel like a really cool idea for halloween would be princesses inspired by traditional halloween monsters like vampires, frankenstein, Skeletons, and Zombies. It’d be really cool to see your take on a more spooky creature but still keeping that light aesthetic of the traditional princess.

I love witches and I’m an avid gardener, I’m in love with these designs!! 😍 One idea I’ve had for awhile now bopping around in my head is to take some sort of concept/theme like you do in these videos and make a D&D party out of them? I don’t even play D&D lol I’ve just always found the different character classes to be a cool jumping off point for character design! Would love to see your take on something like that.
I can’t cosplay but seeing Sunflowers design has made me want to sooo bad!! One day when I get the skill set and money to sew she will be the first I cosplay best believe!!!
I love roses, even if theyre Stereotypical. I especially love wild roses, cause they remind me of my happy place; my grandparents house on the lake. Wild roses grow along the road & my grandma and I would go pick and dry the petals cause they smell so good. Theyre pretty, and I like that they're just as nice in death as they are in life. Roses dry down so nice, they keep a lot of their colour & smell.
you should do characters based on poisonous plants/flowers, like Hemlock, fox gloves, daffodils , rhododendrons and lilly of the valleys
Baking for the Sun Witch also fits cause.. the light is what plants use to eat

Water birds with matching colors:
- king fishers( there are several kinds
- blue birds, specifically the mountain blue bird.
- pink headed fruit dove
-roseate spoon bill
I highly recommend the fruit headed dove. But the spoon bill compliments the pink lotus super well, and matches the water theme.
Video idea: a group of little kids that everyone thinks are just dressing up as spooky animals but secretly they can transform into the animal they’re dressed as-mainly used for pranking people
I'd kill for a slightly slice of life show staring these characters
for some more *spooky* vibes~ i suggest drawing misunderstood animals as characters (bats, spiders, snakes, etc.), a little thought ive had for a bit, which is self care magical creatures if that makes sense (like a mermaid taking a relaxing bath, a vampire drinking some nice red and reading a book, a fairy having a dress up day), a family of vampires would be cool, especially if they're each different in their abilities, and maybe some characters based on poisons or poisonous/toxic flora and fauna...

You're litrelly my comfort youtuber. Everytime you post I instantly click on the video and watch it. Then I get motivation to make something.
Theme ideas:
- Classic fairytales gone wrong: for example Cinderella is made of glass herself and too brittle to attend the ball.
- Halloweenified animal crossing characters.
- Flesh eating insects or plants.
- Mushroom knights.
Rose: "Bella, maniplating people is wrong!"
Belladonna: "that is *literally* something you do all the time"

Water Lily = Ecclectic Witch. The academic studying you mentioned fits that vibe in particular for me. I could see him being the bean who's brand new. Sunflower enjoys teaching him everything, where as Rose and Belladonna bicker about what is 'appropriate' vs what isn't.
Belladonna = Either she is a Nature or Green Witch. Either works in this case really. Necromancy is also originally a divination practice as well. One that doesn't lead to someone being brought back from the dead necessarily. At best they are summoned/called upon for favors from what I can gather. A philosophy I could see fitting Belladonna as well.
Sunflower is the Kitchen Witch Mom of the group. Rose and Bella at each other's throats again? Make em lunch and have em talk it out over food. Water Lily a little too engrossed in studies or just stubbornly continuing past his limit? Bake em a pastry and coffee to make em take a break. Food and drink not only brings people together, it's a good way to make em slow down and smell the roses a bit. To take things easy and in stride as it were.
Rose is a Hedge Witch for sure, which is another reason she and Bella maybe don't get along so much. Different nature spells and philosophies. Though Rose tries to be the mature big sister type around Water Lily, I could see that dropping around Bella until Sunflower is there to ground everyone again. Then Rose is probably usually the first to apologize before going back to whatever she's working on or with.
So yeah I headcanon Sunflower being the eldest and in charge of the coven as well. Belladonna is just behind her in the age range, and tries to help every now and then. Then there's Rose who butts heads with Belladonna as we all know. Finally, Water Lily who is the youngest and newest member in the coven.

Spooky season is about to crash into us like a vast and unstoppable wave and I cannot wait to be swept into the dark depths of that ocean.

Since winter clothing is synonymous with witches I would be I treated in seeing you make summer versions of either these witches or new ones
Belladonna for sure makes me think of the undead witch you created in the random image video with the mushroom skeleton earrings, and like I think that would be her after the high magic council found out about her necromancy and as a result she becomes cursed to never fully die and becomes the undead witch that protects the forest but slowly becomes consumed by mushrooms and eventually just becomes a zombie that roams the forest. Or something along those lines
It's a bit of a missed opportunity you didn't make Nightshade into the Earth character, because you could've dove into necrobotany as a concept for her, where she could use moss and fungi as a tool for necromancy. It could create a really compelling argument and tension in the coven because she's *technically* using natural magic and isn't disrupting the flow of nature cause the fungi are appropriating the existing living matter.
But that's a nitpick on my end cause air is still excellent for a necromancer, since you could play with the idea of stale air bringing death like medieval doctors assumed. Either way, my weird ideas aside, OMG YOUR WORK IS ALWAYS SUCH A SLAY, I LOVE IT

14:13 could also have it to where her magic manifest in these ways. So whenever shes brings back an animal or human from the dead she just lets out a puff of fog from her mouth and it spreads to the animals and humans and goes into their mouths and breaths an new unatrual life into their lungs.
I thought that "fleur" was written on sunflower's bag insteed of "flour", which means flower in french (my language), it fits her so perfectly to have a bag full of edible flowers to put un cakes and potions, love this design 🌻🐝🌻
This makes me want you to make a sort of harness for books now as most of your witches here have books hanging on their hips and such. Maybe a project you can do later on. Especially for a sketchbook!
As for a promp, how about drawing different gnomes based off of animals. Like not Furries, but just connect them to some animal.

Ooo here's an idea. Maybe creating characters based on Halloween makeup looks? Or instead of a full face, it could just be eye makeup?
Sidenote: they can also just be portraits or a mix of portraits and full body designs?

Adding another note: you can choose a flower and become a witch in their group, maybe design your own outfit, accessories, and powers. OR! A random spooky challenge with a type of monster, specific spooky activity, and setting and put it in a randomizer and see what you come up with!
As someone who has designed a Batman villain's costume around both the woody nightshade belladonna and the belladonna amarylis, I have got to say that it's amazing to see someone on here doing flower themed characters.
I don't know if you've done something similair or not, but a semi spooky idea is werewolves based on different types of moons, for example like a blood moon or blue moon. :) just an idea love your art
