Perk-A-Cola's have been a staple of the Zombie mode of Call of Duty for a few years a now, and they're frequently requested on this show, so I dove in and tackled the original four, introduced in World at War map pack 2, on Verrückt.
Speed Cola
.25 oz. or 8 ml. Simple Syrup

Hey HTD. So congratulations on the new PC. One big tip I wish I knew when I first started was the cool colors in your custom water cooling system dont last forever and on occasion you will have to flush and clean the system. I'd say search up water cooling just to get some info on it and wrap your head around it and so you dont run into problems like corroded cooling blocks and leaks.

The canonical fact that the COD:Zombies Perk a Colas are bio-engineered chemical soda is the perfect explanation for why the characters take a single drink, then IMMEDIATELY chuck the rest of the bottle away. They can only tolerate a single drink of the stuff

Ok so this is very confusing; While making the Juggernog the Speed Cola is already filled in the background. Then when he's making the Speed Cola, the Jugg is still in the background (Meaning this was after he made Jugg), until he bottles the drink in where the Jugg is now empty (So before he made Jugg). So what happened with the first Speed Cola? He made the Speed Cola first, then the Jugg, then the Speed Cola again. This is my guess: They started with the Speed Cola. Then he made Jugg. Afterward, they realized that the Speed Cola part didn't record, so they re-recorded him making that drink. And they thought that since the red liquid is easier to spot than the green liquid, they changed the order he was gonna make the drinks, starting with Jugg then Speed Cola when the original order was Speed Cola then Jugg.
No, I got a better theory. Look at how Jugg looks like while he's making Speed Cola. It's all foamy and not that soda looking. Then when he gets to the Quick Revive Jugg looks like a normal soda. And the Jugg also looks the same when he makes it. So maybe they recorded him making the Jugg first. It turned out bad, but they didn't notice it or thought maybe the foam would settle or something. So they continued with the Speed Cola. Made it and then decided to redo Jugg. But then why does Jugg disappear while he's bottling Speed Cola? Ah, I give up. This is not worth my time.

Yeah, that's just poor phrasing. What he meant to say was "neutral flavored acid."
Acid Phosphate is just a clumsy way of making a sour acid "zing" into a liquid (bartenders will go for a liquid 10 times before considering a solid). A pinch of malic acid would have done the same (even back in the day, yes). Same with citric acid (citric acid does not taste like citrus).
I can explain! Acid phosphate is simply phosphoric acid partially neutralized by adding the conjugate base (potassium or calcium phosphate). So all it really is, is phosphoric acid with the pH lowered a little. It’s a buffer solution to my chemist friends out there!

"Tastes like fish" - there's a gin that was distilled by Letherbee in Chicago which was a limited edition autumnal gin last year which was made with toasted rice and three types of seaweed. Gave off a pungent taste that friends and I fondly described as smelling like "an aquarium" so I made a matcha coconut piña colada with the stuff and it kinda tasted like sushi and matcha tea. Just saying, that coulda worked if you really wanted to make a fishy drink that wasn't disgusting.
Any idea if they still sell anything like that? I'm sickened but curious.

The video shots of the drink mixing around and the seltzer mixing with the drink were really nice. The only thing I wish he would have done after he drank the “soda’s” was shout some of the signature catchphrases the characters say😂😂😂

Brewery employee here. Just an FYI for anyone wanting to bottle their own drinks. If you want to keep it shelf stable for longer you should prefill the bottle with CO2 (carbon dioxide) right before filling it with liquid. CO2 is slightly heavier than air so it will stay in the bottle for a bit, and if you add the liquid through a tube into the bottom of the bottle the CO2 will get pushed out the top and prevent most of the oxygen in the air from getting down into the bottle. Immediately cap it once its filled and you should have a mostly oxygen free bottle of goodness. This won't prevent bacteria or mold so you still have to follow good sanitation practices when bottling, but it will prevent the oxygen from breaking down flavor components, particularly the non-acid related ones in fruits and grains. This isn't really necessary if you plan to consume it soon, but it makes a huge difference if you're going to keep it for more than 6 months.
They have songs, character reactions or quotes. Upon drinking them, and finally effects that are associated that you can use to guess your flavor. One can deduce that quick revive tastes like fish or double tap root beer tastes chewy because the game has a lot of time traveling so who knows the effects of them sitting in a machine for so long with no power

I'm only on Jugg rn, but I just wanted to say that they actually had an in game lore recipie for the Perk a Colas at one point but I'm having trouble finding it.
Basically all they did was add element 115 (shit that made the zombies) to a specific ingredient.

I've watched this video 3 or 4 times since it was released and I've got to say, this is awesome. there are many people making 'real life' perk a cola's but most are just label changes or are dyed water (which are not meant to be drank). The fact that he takes the time to create his own cocktails based off of the name and what little detail he knows about the game is insane! I would love to see a part two of this with some of the later perks in the series (mule kick, electric cherry, widows wine, deadshot daquiri, and maybe even some from cold war, like elemental pop). One thing I've always wanted to do since I started playing zombies, was to make my own perk a cola's, but I'm never able to find good bottles that are not twist-off. Do you know of anywhere to buy clear crown top bottles? (I've checked the link in the description but I cant seem to find them on that website, or any other for that matter.)

@@Kaine_Gardner the black ops 2 map with the giant robots was pretty good too. And it had some of the best easter egg weapons.
@@Kaine_Gardner the only cool part of Tranzit was the fact they introduced the bank to share points. That was awesome for later rounds if you happened to go down and were out of everything. other than that yes it sucked. I really enjoyed the other black ops 2 maps though. Mob of the Dead is still my all time favourite.
@@gorrillawarfair yes BO2 had some fantastic zombie maps only one that sucked big time was tranzit. I think it was the pinnacle of the genre, zombies got way too involved and complicated after that IMO. Black Ops would be my pick for best overall, the stock maps plus the ability to download the original 4 was fucking awesome.
@@theguy1717 i kinda liked the tanzit map the only thing that ruined it was the whole bus mechanic. Wish they had found a way to make that process more simple.
Like maybe add a teleportation thing you can unlock in the later rounds so you arent wasting so much time waiting on the bus every round.
