The good news is that chrome oil bag is an old Mass DOT smudge pot that they used to use on construction sites, etc. The bad news is I've seen them chromed and used for that purpose before!

I knew that was an eighteen-inch front wheel on that chromed extended springer. I ran a few of 'em in the dim old days. Avon made 2.75 X 18 Speedmaster MK II tires back then. On a big machine, eighteen-inch wheels and tires shaved the line between good and mediocre handling. Seventeen-inch wheels were just plain trash - they'd fall into even small potholes, or other imperfections on a road surface, and they would basketball down the road. I hope that springer was extended properly! It's just the right length. NO floorboards (please)! That chromed bike is a great throwback machine. I've seen a few like 'em. I see the media covered the "Children's Hour" in Worchester. Those boys need summer jobs. When I was a kid, we'd settle our "differences" with our fists. Stay safe out there. -- W

I'm looking to slowly build a bike piece by piece. I've been digging the kick start bikes you guys build but if I build one it would have to be a custom chassis from the ground up. Do you have any recommendations? I like the easy rider style chopper captain America road in 1969.
