My uncle was a NASCAR jackman for over 20 years then later a crew chief and his brother was a driver .I miss being in the pits at a cup race. Definitely brings back memories
A NASCAR Race is an awesome experience. Some people just think it's cars going around and aground. They'd not understand just how technical it gets. I mean a 1/4 turn here a 1/4 turn there 1/2 lb of air pressure here or there can make a huge difference in performance. It's a good time. Glad y'all had the chance to experience it. Awesome truck but he way!! Thanks for sharing.
Looks like all the family was excited. Clearly, the boys were the most enthusiastic. You have great kids. Your comment about only having a limited number of summerswith them is so true.
THAT is wicked! Glad you guys got to get down into the pit and behind the scenes a bit. I am sure that absolutely helped a ton. LOVE the new truck. I have a lot to catch up on and comment on.
Great video, We lost our rental car one year at Phoenix, a dirt devil came through during the race and all of the cars in the parking lot were covered in about an inch of dust, they all looked the same, we must have walked right past our rental at least 3 times.
you are so right about moving your trailer with diesel, gas is ok but diesel makes it effortless but what I like the best is when going down the mountains the diesel keeps the trailer slowed down without having to ride the brakes. pulling the Black canyon hill on 17 was incredible. I went from a Ford v10 to cummings and I love it (diesel) I love your show KYD alive.
Okay, that was a lot of fun to watch! I've never been a huge NASCAR fan, but my father-in-law and late mother-in-law went often when my husband was young. After hearing their stories, it was cool to experience even a little bit of the excitement through your videos. And now I'm sitting here telling my husband how long it's been since I drove a stick and how much I need a Shelby or a Chevelle with a sound like that Camaro ... sa-weet.
O.M.G.O.S.H. My first car after I didn't have to keep my grandparents car any longer, was a 73' orange "crush" Camaro!! My heart began to beat fast when I saw it in the video. What a fun day! There is no other sport like NASCAR. Did you also notice 99% of the fans had their hands over their hearts during the American anthem? Yep, NASCAR fans are the best fans for sure. Great video!! Your boys will never forget this experience, too. Happy New Year! ♡
How fun was that? We go to Vegas every year in March with our fifth wheel (toy hauler) and stay in a paved lot (no dust) for 4 nights. Ride our bicycles all over the track and various lots and to the track. Fun, fun! Should try that one and stay at track!!!
I knew you would like the new truck. I had a 32’ travel trailer and towed with a ram 1500. I then updated to a 2016 F250 diesel. What a world of difference. Towed easier and way better fuel economy. Now I got the bigger truck we updated our rig to a Cedar Creek 36CK2 5th wheel. We added about 7000 lbs to the rig and the Ford still pulls like a dream. I did put air bags on the truck when we got the 5th wheel. 2500lbs in the box sagged it down more than I liked. PS nascar is fun. I was at the Watkins Glen race a bunch of years ago and really enjoyed the weekend.
We bit the bullet after 3 payments with the F150 ecoboost 3.5. We decided to just go with a F250 powerstroke. Unbelievable difference in confidence and towability! You guys are such a great channel to watch. Now we're eventually going to look for a 5er
We live near Watkins Glen International Raceway. Every August NASCAR comes to town! What a blast! Totally deaf after the weekend. Radio headphones are your best friend. The local radio station provides running commentary on the race. We stay at Watkins Glen State park just down the road and ride our bikes up to the raceway, about a 1/2 hour bike ride. When it 's time to go home, it's all downhill. Sure beats following 300,000 cars waiting in a 2-3 hour just to travel a few miles down the road! :)
Nothing like a weekend at the races!!! I was with MAC TOOLS for years and was able to experience it several times. If you have a chance, you have to go to a NHRA event. It is OVER THE TOP!!!
Great start for the new season! Glad you like the new truck. Everybody has to choose and maybe someday there will be MOPAR power at your fingertips!!! Hope you show us lots of cool places to get to this year!
My brother has season tickets at Kentucky speedway, I go with him as often as I can. NASCAR is a fan friendly sport. You can get hooked on it easily. God bless and may your new year be blessed as well.
Wow I needed that. This has been a very trying holiday (sickness, family drama, etc). The laugh you gave me when Trish was blowing dirt off the truck and Mark's facial expression in response was my first belly laugh in days. Thank you! Happy New Year!
You guys are so lucky. My experience at Daytona cost $3500. We have great racing here in KC. Can't wait to see 2018 videos. Great editing, appreciation for editor command booth.... 😎😎
This is so cool to see. It's not far from our second home out there in Goodyear! I'm gonna have to take our boys there one time. Such an awesome atmosphere so close to the house! Thanks for posting!
Just bought our new 2017 f-250 Super Duty 4x4 and picking-up our new 2018 5th. wheel on the 9th. Planning a trip out West in March after retiring in February.
I did get your KYD Insider emails. I am so excited to be an Insider. It make me feel that much closer to you guys. I will respond to your request to tell you why I became an Insider besides the fact that I love you guys and appreciate everything you do. It means so much and you will soon understand that better. Paul
That was a very emotional win for Matt Kenseth .... his only win this year in what appears to be his last year in Nascar. He is a former Nascar Champion and a crowd favorite. We have a long time friend who is a Nascar tech inspector and he got us the "all access passes" at Bristol one year. Due to the shape of the facility (big round enclosed concrete bowl) the noise is twice as loud (video on our channel). The new truck sagged initially because you hadn't hooked up the weight distribution hitch yet which transfers considerable weight to the front axle.
I am planning and working for the trip of a lifetime. Taking the RV to Speed week at the Daytona 500 INFIELD!!! *Bucket List Item* Thank you for the slice of your holiday, and it looks like the new truck is a hit! May you all have a safe, healthy and Happy New Year!
Awesome video, we were lucky enough to attend the Daytona 500 heats and final 7 years ago, when spending the winter in our RV in Florida. Just like you said unbelievable experience. still trying to catch up on your season 3 videos. so much to experience following along with you guys.
Of course, being from NC, we are very familiar with NASCAR. I can't tell you how many Sunday afternoon naps I took as a kid to the droning of the engines during races my dad would watch. I grew up with names like Richard Petty, Kyle Petty, Al Unser Jr., Dale Earnhart, and Kurt Busch floating around constantly. It's amazing that Matt Kenseth won when you guys were there!! What an awesome experience!
Yeah, we learned that pretty much all the teams are from NC except for Furniture Row. The names you mentioned are the only one we know. It was a fun day. We're fans now.
HECK YES!!!!!!!!! I have Been a Idea hard NASCAR Fan for Years!!! I am a big Dale Jr Fan but now that he is retiring... I think ill be rooting for his Best Friend Martin Truex Jr..... or his Nephew Jeffrey if he can get a ride..... The fires were broken Break parts that flew off the car into the foam and caught fire....Hope to see y’all at at race in the future.
You're keeping me on my toes with your profile pics! Yes, this one was difficult. I didn't know my telescopic lens didn't have the stabilization turned on. Err. The best footage was shaky and it made editing impossible. And then the loud noises. I'm glad it's done! Monument Valley was much quieter :)
Great that you experienced NASCAR, just wish you could compare it to the early 1970s Bobby & Donny Allison in a real NASCAR race at Winston Cup at Talladega, Al. no restrictor plates, This was real racing. .....Great video though, it brought back some great memories. Thanks Jeff
Glad you had such a Wonderful time. NASCAR is a GREAT Sport. Where else will you see 38 teams playing for the Win, 26 times a year. . Thank you for sharing. My bucket list includes a full season of NASCAR Travel. Maybe we will happen across you guys path in the future. Would love to shake your hands.
This is a part of Americana that I try to keep at arm’s length, but, you made it seem fun. I’d be wearing ear plugs, over-the-ear hearing protectors, and hanging out back at the RV. Vroom Vroom!
If you ever have the opportunity to see the Indy 500, take it. I went a couple of years ago and it was fabulous. Sitting on the inside of the track was an experience. Drove under the track and onto the inside race track which is where we parked.
loved your video and glad you got to go to the race myself and wife have been to several tracks in Virgina and North Carolina our driver is Ryan Newman the Rocket man love your F-250 we just got us one in September traded are F-150 in on it.
Thank you for your inspiration over the last months. I’m getting my van tomorrow and beginning its build out. What an adventure ahead for me, and your adventures have been so fun to watch. See you on the road soon.....CDO, lmao.
How cool s this? wonderful video. thank you so much for taking us along. Never in my lifetime would I have had this experience in real life. Also Nascar rock when it comes to Military respect And the respect and love of this country. Love it NFL not so much.
Well done! I look forward to your episodes. Your production on this was great, you have grown so much. Hope you camp in the infield of a Nascar race, You will love it.
We enjoy your post each week. Thanks for sharing you NASCAR experience, I wen to the PHOENIX race a few years back for a rare trip. It rained like for the first time ever. What luck? Would have liked to meet you in Spokane/CDA? Maybe next time. Happy New year to you and your family.
Happy New Year to subscribers and your family. Just bought a new 2017 Ford F250 Super Duty XLT Crew Cab just like yours except gas engine.. Just purchased a 2018 Forest River Grey Wolf Limited last week. We are excited to see the US such as the Southwest, and Washington DC this year. Let us know in future videos how the new truck pulls differently than the F150. I am sure it will be better with the heavier truck. Love your videos and look forward to future trips.
New subscriber. Great videos guys and gals. I happened to stumble across your channel and it’s a hit 👍🏼 Wife and I are Rv’s as well. We have a Toyhauler and are big in to traveling places to ride Atv’s and UTV’s. Keep up the great vids
Ford and GM must have the same hitch. I had to go get bigger hooks for my safety chains to fit my GMC. Once I did this they hook very good. You can take the hooks off and install the bigger hook on the the same chain. I got my hooks from a local trailer supply shop. I think they do this because of the higher tow ratings hitch’s they are using.
Matt's final win in the cup series! Let me know if you want to come to an IndyCar race! Indy500 and Mid Ohio are incredible for the camping experience.
Happy New Years! and congrats on the new truck! Upgrade your hitch system to a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control if you have the opportunity. This is one that uses bars instead of chains. Your sag will disappear and the sway control is unbelievable as its controlled by friction in 4 different directions. I took my 1500 Silverado with 5k lb Airstream from Chicago to Vancouver B.C and back with the system you currently have and it was ok but really felt that push pull next to big semi trucks and lots of sway in bumps or we like to call em the "whoop te whoops". Once I got back to Chicago upgraded to a GMC 2500 HD and the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control and towing has been a whole new world of comfort and ease. Especially when passing/being passed by big trucks. BTW those backup camera features are awesome!
Hey guys thanks for that footage.. we've been waiting for you to put this on ..the anticipation of your videos are like waiting for the next premier lol ..and now as soon as I seen it I was posted lol.. anyway now we're inspired to try to go to the inside pit area of Nascar in Vegas in March with the RV lol and get the experience you all did lol.. Also i hear that Ford is already working on fixing that problem with the hitch..your TRUCK is so awesome mark , man I like that TRUCK
Get your Vegas tickets ASAP ... They sell out fast. You can also watch NASCAR drivers wheel winged sprint cars at night, across from the asphalt track.
This was the best ever (maybe bacause I´m a racefan) Happy New Year and safe traveling 2018. 🥂👍🏻🤗 Hope to see a lot more of you this year. Never stop RV´n and vlogging, I live my dream trough you ❤️🤟🏻🤟🏻
My uncle was a NASCAR jackman for over 20 years then later a crew chief and his brother was a driver .I miss being in the pits at a cup race. Definitely brings back memories

How awesome that you got to experience that all because of a viewer reaching out to you! Looks like a great time was had by all

LOVE the windows in that new truck!
I do too! 👍
Lots of great info about the history of NSACAR! Thanks for sharing!
Great start for the new season! Glad you like the new truck. Everybody has to choose and maybe someday there will be MOPAR power at your fingertips!!! Hope you show us lots of cool places to get to this year!
Yes it is like that every weekend in NASCAR
Amazing weekend. Happy New Year all !!!!
Tx for the invite. I'm now a subscriber to your channel. 🙂👍🌸
My brother has season tickets at Kentucky speedway, I go with him as often as I can.
NASCAR is a fan friendly sport. You can get hooked on it easily.

Had same problem with my chains & F250. I added “D” rings to hitch holes on the truck and then connected the chains to the “D” rings.
This is so cool to see. It's not far from our second home out there in Goodyear! I'm gonna have to take our boys there one time. Such an awesome atmosphere so close to the house! Thanks for posting!
Fabulous documentary about the NASCAR fan experience. Thank you for such a awesome video. You are the best.
Too much fun. Great post.
We love NASCAR. We look forward to seeing as many tracks as we can when we hit the road. We went to Talladega this year. It was awesome.
My wife and I recently bought a Sunset Trail 331bh for our home and a nascar trip would be awesome!
Congrats!
A NASCAR event is the only sport where 130k people can gather together without a problem ... Welcome to the racing family!
Awesome time! Get a fifth wheel! Easy hook up and don’t forget the auto leveling.... it’s a breeze compared to the travel trailer.
Just bought our new 2017 f-250 Super Duty 4x4 and picking-up our new 2018 5th. wheel on the 9th. Planning a trip out West in March after retiring in February.
What an awesome week this week! This will be a hard one to beat. Anyway, Happy New Year everyone! Safe travels 😊
Wow. I love the windows in your new truck!

Perfect!
Just discovered your channel and I’m OBSESSED! My husband and I are heading out full-time in September 2018 and your vids are so inspiring!
Welcome Audrey!

Travels with Yoly
Did you see the WOO at Bristol? Knoxville Nationals is on my bucket list, (former dirt track scorekeeper).
First time I towed our GD travel trailer, with a diesel, i was blown away by the RPM's. Easily the most surprising part.
My Home town! We are proud to share the dream!!
Love the video as always. We take our Rv the the Michigan International Speedway every June. We would proudly fly a KYD flag.
That's awesome!
OMG! I love seeing your son in the backseat with the VR headset on. Fantastic!
I believe "Nomadic Fanatic" was there a time or 2 in his RV, if you are interested.
Can't wait to see the trip Jonathan!
That is so cool, Jonathan! I can't imagine staying in the infield and all of the craziness in there!! I bet it will be a blast!
I'm jealous ... My kids raced quarter midgets with Jeff Gordon, and I was a scorekeeper before traders. Have fun!!!
Awesome video, we were lucky enough to attend the Daytona 500 heats and final 7 years ago, when spending the winter in our RV in Florida. Just like you said unbelievable experience. still trying to catch up on your season 3 videos. so much to experience following along with you guys.

Based on your comments, I don't know where you are in the series, but we appreciate all your comments.

Em And the Gang same with us here in Wilson NC .... Great stuff !!! We called it laps and naps! Thanks for the video KYD !!! Happy New Year !!!!
I grew up in Charlotte, NC and remember being raised the same way. Most of the NC based teams were only 10-20 miles from where I lived.
Amazing experience. Something we must do as we are big nascar fans
Who knew NASCAR could be so fun? Congrats on “your car” winning!
Behind the scenes look was so cool! Fun-TY!
HECK YES!!!!!!!!! I have Been a Idea hard NASCAR Fan for Years!!! I am a big Dale Jr Fan but now that he is retiring... That was a great race I was glad to see 20 win, you need to go to the Las Vegas race it's a great race track. We took the tour while we were in Vegas.
Awesome. Thanks for all your hard work on this one. 🏁 🇺🇸. Happy New Year. God BlessAmerica.
EXCELLENT VIDEO GUYS, LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!
Great that you experienced NASCAR, just wish you could compare it to the early 1970s Bobby & Donny Allison in a real NASCAR race at Winston Cup at Talladega, Al. no restrictor plates, This was real racing.

Oh, Happy New Year to all!
Great representation of the sport.

Vroom Vroom!
Love the new truck!! So much room!! Happy New Year!! Can’t wait for your new adventures!
If you ever have the opportunity to see the Indy 500, take it. I went a couple of years ago and it was fabulous. Sitting on the inside of the track was an experience. Drove under the track and onto the inside race track which is where we parked.
Okay, it's on the list now :)

We had a site, but it didn't work out at the last min. Next time!
Thanks Richard. We'll be back!
The new F250 is awesome!! Happy New Year!
Marc and family another amazing video and experience. Caleb looked very cool in the camera! Happy New Year to everyone.
Thanks Ken!
Great videos... Love watching your adventures
I’m not a NASCAR fan but that was some great insight. As usual you guys made it extremely interesting. Awesome job guys! Thanks!!
Happy New Year guys so looking forward to what you guys have installed for us in 2018. 👍🏻😉
WHOA! This ain't no daydream! You're at the show! Only you! :-)
👍Nice video. Very cool. 😁
🎉🎈🎉 Happy New Year y’all 🎉🎈🎉
Ford and GM must have the same hitch.
Good point. I ended up getting clips that are rated the same as the chain. Now I can clip them on easily. I didn't consider a bigger hook.
Awesome, althugh I am not a NASCAR fan I enjoy watching you have fun.
Great Music! Happy New Year!
What a great experience for the family...Hope your Christmas was joyful and a Happy ,Healthy and Safe 2018 to you all....
Thanks Guy!
Happy New Year Enjoying watching your dreams come true
Happy New Year! Way to go Tim!
did you adjust the hitch ball height and spring bars to your new vehicle? it does appear that your truck sits low.
I have... when connecting it was at a very steep incline. However, I've since discovered Ginger has why too much tongue weight. Upcoming vid.
OH HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS ..STAY BLESSED...
This was AMAZING!!! Really enjoyed NASCAR!! The truck is awesome....well done! :)
Thanks Dean!
LOL! 8:32 command strip!! ProA- WHAT!
Matt's final win in the cup series!
Let me know if you want to come to an IndyCar race! Indy500 and Mid Ohio are incredible for the camping experience.
Great video! One of your best!

Thanks Jerry. An infield spot would be amazing. Wait until you see it tug Ginger up the hills next week :) Effortless.
Never stop RV´n and vlogging, I live my dream trough you ❤️🤟🏻🤟🏻
Marc, take a look at Timbren SES springs to fix your level problem with the F250. Nice rig!
CDO! Ha! I am so using that joke. Too funny, because I suffer from it.
