Hi Wendy! I really like my Scan N Cut. There are mass market models which are more set up for the crafter, and there are dealer models more aimed at the sewer/embroiderer. Depends on what you do most for which machine you will need.
Thank you for the 101 software lesson. I just bought my machine. I like the PC version. The wifi version I have not tried. I will find the June 5 class. Will get the video.
I just purchase simply applique from Brother it was on sale for 179 I been waiting for it to go on sale now I need to learn how to use it I want to start using my scan n cut to cut applique fabric instead of cutting by hand thank you for the video's you teach very good and very easy to understand thank you
Awesome Video. Thank you for sharing... I've had my SDX325 for about 6 months now and I really like it. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed that Brother has discontinued so many of the premium features. Now, I miss what I don't have. LOL
I have the SDX230D and really like it. Yes, I'm disappointed that Brother discontinued some of the Premiums as well. I really like the rhinestones and the stamp kits!
Hi Velvet! Making an offset is really easy in Canvas Workspace. Make the shape or text you want the offset around and select it. Under the Edit menu on the right side, click the offset button. Choose your spacing, if the offset shout be inside or outside your design, and if you want the corners beveled or curved. Click ok and you have an offset!!
There is a piercing kit and makes a beautiful decorative edging on cards and such. The SVG's that I used in this class were from Birds Cards. The rolled flower design
@barbulmer852 the online version of Canvas Workspace doesn't have some of the features of the PC version. My screen may have things that you don't as I have some premium functions
Hi Lucile! You need an activation code that was in the card that came along with the Vinyl Auto Blade to register the software upgrade and get the designs.
I am bringing in a PNG file. How do I get it to save as an FCM and export. Keeps erroring out on me. Image data will not be transferred with cut data, there is no object data
@beardiebrat a PNG file is a picture file, so you need to use the tracing function to trace the image to produce the cut lines. Then you can export as an fcm
You just answered the other question about lettering around a design. Hope to send it out to my cutter tomorrow after some more tweaking. Thank you for the video.
I just found you I have a Disney 325x scan n sew used it once at class still haven’t bonded with it thinking of selling it so dazzle me so I may reconsider Alice from Fl

Thanks so much. I wanted to use the download version for more capabilities but couldn’t figure it out!
I've resisted this version of the software for quite awhile. I'm getting used to it now and it has more capabilities than the online version.
Thank you for your teaching! I will checkout your website too.
That's great! Thanks

Watching on replay
Hi Tammy!
New to the channel.
Welcome Sharon!
Watching on replay. Do you ever offer this live at another time? I want to learn the Canvas. Excited this is offered.
I do most of my classes online now. Usually the first and third Wednesday evening at 7 PM Central.
Ilove TH-cam videos and easy to find.
Thanks Stephanie!
New to your channel. I like it.
Thanks, Linda! Glad you enjoyed the video.
Hi, Jan. Thank you for the class. Questions - Where did you find the ScanNCut SVG file? And, where/when would you use the Paper Piercing tool?
There is a piercing kit and makes a beautiful decorative edging on cards and such. The SVG's that I used in this class were from Birds Cards. The rolled flower design
Watching replay. Would you please refer to ‘which machine’ ( sNc or Lumixp3)
This is the software for the Scan n Cut
How do I slow the speed of you speaking? The rerun has you speaking 90 miles a minute!
Under the video there is a little cog wheel icon. Make sure the playpack speed in on normal.
I don't see as many options when I open the online version of canvas? is that due to the level of machine functions?
@barbulmer852 the online version of Canvas Workspace doesn't have some of the features of the PC version. My screen may have things that you don't as I have some premium functions
So do I need both
Hi Lynda! I'm not sure I understand. Are you referring to the online version of Canvas Workspace and the PC version of Canvas Workspace?
Is there a way to mark 1/4 in seam?
Hi Wendy! There is on the edit screen of the Scan N Cut. The symbol is a square with a dashed square inside it.
I purchased a used scan n cut on eBay. How do I remove their information so I can register the machine so I can use canvas workspace.
Hi Sandy! On the machine, go to settings-machine registration. You should be able to delete the previous owners info there.
I purchased the vinyl blade from Amazon. Didn't know to register it & no longer have the card. Is there any way to register it now?
Hi Lucile! You need an activation code that was in the card that came along with the Vinyl Auto Blade to register the software upgrade and get the designs.
@@sewalongwithjan Thank you so much for your help. Guess the only answer is to buy another vinyl blade.
@@lucilecamp975 Unfortunately, I think that is the case.
how do u get the enhanced tracing tool.
Hi Jackie! I think it has been discontinued, but you might still find it at a dealer. Here is the model number CACVPPAC2. Premium Pack 2
