If Jeff didn't get another DUI and lose his license I think the Hardy Boys would have had a good run in AEW. Hopefully he can stay sober for good and wish him well 👍
I agree maybe haven’t get in trouble this last time. We truly straighten him out he almost 50 way past time to grow up ! I looked trapped in addiction so it’s not like I’m just saying it and say it if you want it, you can do it. That’s the only way you can do it if you want not because of your family. Not because of your job and your friends or anything like that you have to do it yourself. You never gonna do it.
I love the hardy boys. But unfortunately towards the end of matts time in aew they were making quite a few mistakes in the ring and they were low down the pecking order.
As a kid who grew up in north carolina, you'll never find a bigger Mark for Matt or Jeff... But the cold truth is, Matt wants a to be in the high paid main event role like Randy Orton or Lesnar or a guy like that and Matt just isn't that guy. He never has been and he can't accept his role. That's why he left wwe a few years ago because he thought AeW would put him in that spot. They didn't either and that's why he'll leave aew. Even though Triple H is running stuff now in wwe, I don't think paul is going to put Matt in that spot either. Matt either has to accept the role of putting younger guys over or retire. And his ego won't let him do that. But that's the reality of the situation.
I think he just wants to be in a tag team with Jeff and do stories in his last few years and be in a position to tell a good story, not having to be a main eventer
aew gonna pay per day. man the audacity to offer that on a older and legend. that offer should be given to younger talent to make sure they always goes to work. but older talent need guranteed deals.
Per date not day. But anyway, they weren’t locked into exclusivity. Meaning they can go and work a multitude of shows all over the world for various companies and make a killing. Per date is the dream. It’s still guaranteed for the length of their contract regardless. Gotta think big picture. Of course Matt probably wanted something more singular with less travel, which I understand, but they weren’t offered bad deals at all.
Matt hardy => wwe. With this whole uncle howdy thing popping back up, what a great way to bring broken Matt hardy into the fold in a proper way. The possibilities are endless with him wanting to help and still be relevant in more ways than just wrestling. Storytelling in wwe now.....yeah, just go on ahead and come on back and storytell the hell outta broken Matt puh-leeze.

Recovery is tolerable when the journey to get clean is understood as being a easier path then staying sick.
