    So I need to buy 4 brake pads, one for each wheel I guess.
    and my rotors are warped hard. so 4 rotors? Is this correct or did I goof it up?

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there Stephanie, that's not a problem at all, if you are not confident with doing so yourself that is exactly the right thing to do. There is 2 pads (pair) required per wheel, when you purchase the pads they come with 4 pads. the pads on the front are the same left and right, equally with the rear. You can often buy pad and rotor sets, which again would be separated into front and rear. In total 4 rotors (2 front, 2 rear), and 8 pads total (4 sets of 2). I hope this helps. Please give the thumbs up.

    If I change the pads do need bleed or pump the brakes?

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Matty, when were they last bled? Also yes you will need to check the fluid levels before you pump them to make sure it doesn't pull air into the system. I tend to always bleed the brakes, unless I know they have been done very recently.

    • @mattyviper6039

    • @RossPerryProductions
      @RossPerryProductions  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mattyviper6039 There is a bleed nipple on the back of the calliper you need to connect a pipe onto that with the other end in a jar, and get a spanner to fit (I believe it is a 10 or 11mm) its much easier if you have a second person who can pump the brakes inside the car as you open and close the nipple. Make sure the brake reservoir never goes below the minimum mark, you are looking for a change in colour (so you know the new fluid is through) if there are bubbles keep bleeding until they are gone. I hope that helps.
