RIGHT now the family is enjoying watermelon water with a sprig of fresh mint leaves and absolutely no sugar added ;watermelon is sweet enough next is jamaica or hibiscus water with a little pure raw honey and absolutely no white sugar added. Sugar is the root of all evil...lol

In the Caribbean Islands especially Jamaica, we put, sugar, ginger and cinnamon with a little wine or rum in it. We call Jamaica, sorrell.

I keep gallon in my fridge but it's just Hibiscus and ginger, no sugar. I also use it as base for my smoothies instead of plain water. Hibiscus maintains blood pressure at healthy levels

Finally, finally, finally…someone has shown how to make flor de jamaica agua fresca! Thank you for doing this. I have asked for years at restaurants and everyone always looks at me like I’m asking to how to boil water 🤣😏
I hope you have other agua fresca recipes. 👍

Always a pitcher of agua de jamaica in my fridge. When I’m feeling extra fancy I use piloncillo and I add a little ginger, canela, clavo de olor, and pimienta gorda. Gives it a mediciny sweet yumminess

I have a friend who loves these, but he drinks it as hot tea instead of a cold drink. I think I’d prefer it cold, like this! The colour is so beautiful and I can just imagine how good this must taste!

My favorite. But I don’t put sugar just stevia. Also it’s a diuretic that I use for puffiness. I add a few flowers to my water no sugar but too many flowers make it tart. Love it

Lovely juice. I make a portion of 7 Up with Cranpomegranate juice, its my go to juice but I find it too strong by itself. I used about 50/50 or slightly less juice with the 7 Up maybe 70/30 and find the carbonation and 7 Up flavor is a super combination. Interesting drink from flowers !

Ahhh this brings back memories. When my son was in high school and either on the tennis team or wrestling team, I would make him a quart of this for his after school activities. Sometimes I would steep a regular tea bag in it, sometimes a mint teabag. Either way, his teammates were very jealous.
