Great tips! Thank you. I’ve been stuck in this how do I create enough content to be ahead when I have very little content to post from clients. I have no idea where to start looking to cold call or where/how to get emails. I think getting in front of the right people is really the thing I’m struggling with most (and figuring out how to actually build out a business since eventually I want to build a full digital marketing agency that does it all and have a few employees)

Absolutely loved this video! I have a question, at 21:11, you mentioned that you don’t always have to make the content, if this is the case, how do you approach a biz ? Like wouldn’t they want the smm to give them the content and post it as well? Help 😅
Clients will send me raw video and photos that I’ll edit, organise, add captions and posts. Sometimes I’ll also storyboard the content for them and send a list of video shots or trending audios. A SMM doesn’t always have to be a content creator or photographer as well. It will vary client to client and what they need 🥰

Anywhere from $50-$500 - it varies a lot. You'll need to look at the rough amount of hours it will take you and start calculating your price from there :)
Yes I made a portfolio of example work. Once I had clients, I then added this to the portfolio, also included stats on social media, intro to me and prices/packages :)

you never should be paying for ads as the social media manager!! They pay for their ads via their ad account (get them to set it up so they own it and its linked to their credit card, then add you as an admin) then on top of that, they pay your management fee. This is something you would invoice your client for and they should pay up front. You can use Last Pass if you're worried about password security and sharing :)
This was soooo helpful. I got a question though, how can you offer being only a strategist or a content creator or both. Like, should I offer packages with both in one or should I offer them separately in one presentation? Considering I am offering different tiers packages.
Okay everyone will be different here, lean into your skills! You don’t have to do everything, and when you’re getting started I think it’s good to keep it simple. But you could expand to 4-5 packages if you want to offer all this. OR for example you could do three: the low entry level offer as a one off strategy/audit package, next package includes that audit PLUS social media management and then the next one is your premium offer that has all three: strategy, SMM and content creation. Then leave it up to your client to customise the offer from there xx

This varies a huge amount depending on many factors like experience, location, skill level, strategy requirements etc. It could be $20 and hour, it could be $120! There is no “standard” rate as everyone is different and pricing is so personal, without knowing you, I can’t give an exact price :)

I have a program but it is quite high ticket in terms of price because it's a huge course with 12 months of coaching and support. But I've heard great things about Linked In learning and the courses on there - that might also be good to get qualifications for your LinkedIn profile :)
I did work for free for 1 month for 2 clients - I just made the content, they posted it. However, this was because I had no idea what I was doing and wanted to test out how it worked. Instead now I encourage students to charge from the beginning even just a little bit ❤️

You don't have to if you dont want to. You can specialise in organic content and not offer ads :)

There are plenty of templates on Google! I started by making my own in Canva, then when I had the money I invested in a software called Panda Doc :)

You definitely can, I would be charging more than this depending on exact deliverables and experience :)

No. U cannot do it in 30 days. It takes 4 months to get first client
If you focus on the right things you can easily book your first client in 30 days. Myself and my students are proof of that :)
