Poughkeepsie, officially the City of Poughkeepsie, separate from the Town of Poughkeepsie around it is a city in the U.S. state of New York. It is the county seat of Dutchess County, with a 2020 census population of 31,577. Wikipedia

This is Poughkeepsie. I was there before and it was almost like a ghost town the same way it is in your video. It's dead over there. Poughkeepsie is a place to live if you want peace and quiet.
Not really, there’s a lot of crime in Poughkeepsie. Don’t let the quietness fool ya 😅

According to the most recent data from the FBI, the total crime rate in Poughkeepsie is 2,459.5 per 100,000 people. That's 5.82% higher than the national rate of 2,324.2 per 100,000 people and 38.60% higher than the New York total crime rate of 1,774.5 per 100,000 people.
@@NYBestDJ Poughkeepsie is tiny. The population is only 31,860. The smallest borough in NYC which is the Bronx has a population of 1,338,803. And according to the report you read from, it says "There were 792 total crimes committed in Poughkeepsie the last reporting year". No crime is good, but 792 is not a lot of crime for a whole year. If you Google the Bronx for total crimes reported in 2023, it's 28,003.
@@ArtShoots you can’t compare the Bronx with a small town upstate. What I’m showing you is that Poughkeepsie is not the place for peace and quiet when it’s crime rate is almost 6% higher than the national average.
