Let us never forget those who journeyed into the howling dark, and did not return. For their decision required courage beyond measure. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten.

You realize halo isn’t real. I love it and I love the spartan race, but it’s just a game.
Wait- it was never… just a game.
Were it so easy
it was never just a game

Halo is a legacy, halo is our childhood
@@RengarVT well said

Halo series: ''we can't convey emotions with chief's helmet on''
lol
You sure about that?I see the man behind the helmet better then most people without it
@@nicolae-alexandruluca7853 true
@@nicolae-alexandruluca7853 Yeah
that's hurt because they are just bad. They can't make emotion with a helmet because they are bad. I made all the games in a few days recently, and it's crazy because it's one more license that the series will trash without thinking for money.
I just realized, Steve Downes was a DJ at a Chicago radio station, and now he is one of the most recognizable voices in gaming. Not only that but his voice acting is S tier. What incredible range, control, and ability.
He truly is a talented man
He still DJ's! I catch a bit of his show now and then in Southern Wisconsin!
He's crushed it in every game despite its overall quality the voice talent of the people who voice these iconic characters make halo what it is and even if the games were mid or bad he always comes through every time with his best preference because he cares about his character.
@@adrielstout6844no halo game is bad man, they all have there place
@@EMIN3MFaN97 oh I enjoy all the games the only one that could be considered not that great was halo 5 and it only suffers from just having a poor lead writer but overall not a bad game id say a 6 or a 7 out of 10. I was just saying that cause some people think everything after Bungie is bad but I disagree not a perfect trilogy I appreciate all the cool stuff 343 did for the franchise that Bungie would've never had done like continuing the story with a multiplayer campaign for 4 yeah it was hard as balls gameplay wise but the story was pretty good I enjoyed the dlc campaign.

These are core memories now, the coming of age building blocks for myself and millions of kids around the world. Long Live Halo 🖤
Long live Halo
0:34 You can hear the pain in Cortana’s voice. She really loves John, and when she touched him for the first and only time, she probably felt so happy, to touch the one person that cared about her. She must have felt broken having to leave John.
“Our duty as soldiers is to protect humanity what ever the cost”
"you say that like humanity and soldiers are two different things, I mean soldiers aren't machines, we're just people."
@@Falcon-Actual I honestly loved that scene and dialogue, given that Chief for so long seemed to view himself as a machine, but both Cortana and that conversation with that commander seemed to snap him out of that mind set
@@Wintercomet100 It really is one of the best master chief scenes
Noble six understood that
@@thememelord7654 So did the rest of Noble team
Will never forget what johnson said "Don't - don't let her go. Don't... ever let her go"
“It’s just a game” is what the people at paramount said when they made the tv show
The TV show wasn't that bad, it just wasn't Halo. also how is this relevant to my video?
Nah the show is ass man. Even if it wasn’t meant to be a halo adaptation @@Falcon-Actual
@@YodaOnABender well, I enjoyed it

One of my favourite things about halo is that's it's not just a game, but it's the community as well. This is insanely good, nice wok Falcon.
I agree it's not just a game, halo would be nothing without the community.
I started playing H5 multiplayer right when I came out, so October 2015, till this day, I still talk to some of the people I’ve met. We were recruited in clans, left, joined other clans, then we decided to make our own online community.
Even some of us had the blessing to meet each other in real life, sucks for the ones that live really far away lol.
So glad you put the meaningful scenes from Reach in. Very good
I mean it is my favorite halo game
One of my favourite halo games

@@chicken0562 glad to hear it, and I really appreciate the support
Out of all the hate I think the character build in infinite with her and Master Chief was amazing sure some things weren't great or perfect in the game, but to me definitely a story I would play again.
@@titanking8755 I 100% agree
I like the subtle element when Chief is kneeling beside the pilot (can't remember his name; haven't played enough Infinite lol), how Chief is subtly scanning for potential threats even as he's speaking, cos they're out in the wilds lol
They also elaborate more on that in the books
These characters are more human than some people will ever be! It’s not a game, it’s art!
agreed
No game series could ever hold a place in my heart the way halo does
"Hit em hard boss."
"Your own your own Noble, Carter out."
These 2 lines always hit hard to me, because Emile understood what he meant and did not even try to stop him, knowing he was still gonna die one way or another.
Bro dropped the hardest halo edit and thought I wouldn’t notice
Glad you enjoyed it
Enough to make a grown man cry.
glad you enjoyed it
And that’s okay
It's not just a game.its apart of us. All of us. I cried watching this. Thank you, for a distant reminder of what I was. 724 out.
glad you enjoyed it, 297 over and out
Despite the direction that 343 has taken the Main Halo series too. They have done a good job about us as the player connecting to the man, machine, soldier, human known as the Master Chief. Not just a machine but still human seeing the mistakes he's made and emotions he has. Growing up with Halo and seeing where it is now is heartwarming. Halo will forever be my favorite video game franchise despite where it is at now.
agreed
Damn, time flies by so fast. Still remember how I got a disc with Halo CE in 2005. I keep replaying it even now with my brother. I don't know how but the game still looks decent to me with classic graphics, while many other old games i used to like playing I can't even look at without pain.
It's not Just a game, this man tought me what never giving up really means
I think most of us can say the same
My Childhood gone and all thats left is "Remember Reach" 😢
"Remember reach"
This is what I remember Halo being, this is what it is to me.
Not a multiplayer death match that gets more toxic as you play but a story worth telling. I will wait for the fight to continue as others fight each other
exactly
It was story. It really was more then just another shooter game. It had real emotion, soul, character and today immense nostalgic value. The story of master chief is one that stands among the ones like luke skywalker, captain Kirk, Darth Vader and many other Sci fi legends. That green tatered amoured being was someone we all embodied. And that is something I think many can't replicate....how it made us feel like we were him, we were Master Chief. Not only did we play him but we very much...grew up with him.
Not just a game. It was our fight... and we did a darn good job finishing it
Sir, yes sir
This game was my only escape when growing up. I was constantly bullied at school because of my race, constantly ignored at home. But I didn't care because I was playing as a badass in space defending human from near extinction. This game truly did inspire me
Negative, I have the gun. Good luck, Sir.
good luck to you spartan
@@Falcon-Actual this video genuinely had me tearing up. Halo is the best. Great video
@@Falcon-Actual I feel guilty for the fact I started playing halo like two weeks ago. Finished Reach, finished the fight.

As a teen who grew up on Halo, it was never just a game for me either. Halo will forever be apart of my life. 🫡

This got me through my childhood, the games, the books, Halo Legends, Forward unto Dawn , if there is one thing that truly kept me out of those dark places growing up, it was Halo.
I didn't cry, it was just dust 💔💔🤧
just... Dust and echoes...
yeah, Dust and Echoes 💔💔😭
You know it hits right when you are wiping away genuine tears. Halo has been such a huge part of my life for over 20 years now and has recently brought me opportunities I would have only ever dreamt of, as well as, making lifelong connections to some incredible gamers and friends 💚💙💚💙💚💙
I don't doubt it

@@Wafflez427 I'm actually relatively new to halo, I've played a lot with friends over the years but I never owned the games myself until about a year ago

I swear this made me cry, been playing halo for nine years now… and I can truly say that this fully made me cry, especially the halo reach part, considering that it is my favorite video game😢
Remember Reach
“ it’s good to have you back “ ❤
This wasn’t just a game, it was my childhood.
Some have this theory that the whole game was an apology letter from 343 to the Fandom. When Cortana said "I was wrong, I thought I could do this on my own, but I forgot the whole point of being a team was to do it together" is them acknowledge that they let us down. And I like to think is true
I also believe that is the case
Spartans never die, they are just missing in action
“I have the gun”

Im not crying, your crying
Watching noble 6 and cortana dying...was pretty hard not gonna lie.
Giving chief as a character a lot more depth was one of the best things 343 did. His relationship with cortana in 4 and his emotional state in infinite genuinely felt real.
20 years ago he was a pretty 2d character, a vessel for the player. Now Infinite gave us a man who's dealing with loss. While infinites story isn't perfect, not by a long shot chiefs relationships with fernando and the weapon and how they change him as a person is in my opinion halo at some of its best.
agreed
They en noble all of us and they shall not be forgotten
Thank you for showing love to both Bungie and 343 eras of Halo
no problem, It really wasn't that hard considering my favorite halo game is Reach and my second favorite is Infinite
I need to experience Halo Infinite's story again, I've only beaten it once at the beginning of 2022.
It's definitely worth a replay... or nine
Do it, I just got download for it now :)
It was never just a game it was sad story rest in peace Johnson
After reading the books the games have so much depth. Especially Halo:Reach. Hearing about Kurt training the other Spartans.

I recently started playing halo but has already became big part of me

Honestly the story in 4 was better than the initial reception. It was the best it could’ve been. 6 was a step in the right direction for sure.

The original, while not THE reason, definitely influenced me to join the United States Marine Corps. This game was much more to a generation. And I love it. The lore. The themes. The characters. It will always be my favorite IP
Halo definitely is special
Halo Has been on of the best Series I've ever played , thank Bungie for such a wonderful Game seriously
What a series. Maybe the best.

Oh my god!!! The emotions
This brings up!!! I love Halo.
Halo never was, is not, and never will be just a game. what other game can compare to it? it revolutionized the industry in so many ways, it excelled in every category. music, gameplay, innovation, story, character design, landscapes voice acting, worldbuilding, lore development, everything. and even all those monumentally phenomenal aspects are not why it is so great. it is so great because of the emotional connection we as a community built with it and with each other. we all played through the games, we all fought the flood in the library and walked through new Mombasa, we all fought through high charity and raced the clock on that last warthog run, we all fought that glorious last stand as noble 6, we all experienced the loss of Cortana after trying so desperately to get her to be healed, we all formed a bond with each other through Halo. the good days of the original games PVP, COOP campaigns, conventions meeting the people behind the game we loved and meeting friends that had previously only been a voice across the microphone. other games do the same, but none do it like Halo does it. mt experience with the halo community has been nothing short of phenomenal, I am glad to call myself a part of it, and I would not hesitate to say that it is one of the most passionate and close knit communities in the world.
Halo will never die as long as that community stands, and I am damn sure it will continue to stand despite whatever happens, whatever disaster, whatever slump, we will stay standing. thank you everyone for making this community what it is, thank you @Falconactual for making this wonderful tribute that so perfectly captures the emotion of Halo, the game we all love. and to anyone who has read this far into this longer than expected comment, first off sorry for the length lol, and thank you. whatever fight you are going through, finish it. keep fighting until it is done, I believe in you. much love, eyes up spartans
I'm glad you enjoyed the tribute, and like you said "whatever fight you are going through, finish it. keep fighting until it is done"

These days it is. It used to be a hell of a lot more...
La caida de reach me da tanta tristeza, vi este video y tuve lagrimas en mis ojos. Crecí con Halo y es parte de mi vida, las pérdidas son mis pérdidas. Y las victorias mis victorias.
You know Occasionally a game character will say and do the most real to life shit and Halo isn't one character it the whole damn franchise
true
It was a story we were all apart of
"It was never about the Halos. Never the Covanant or its children. Not even the flood. It was about her. Protecting her and loving being there for her. To this day I still regret leaving her behind on High Charity.
I still regret missing her last 4 years..
Letting her go...
I failed her. I WILL NOT fail anyone else."
"we all fail, we all make mistakes, It's what makes us human"
Your on your own poor carter ❤😢
"He gave his life thinking he'd just saved the planet, we should all be so lucky"
