  • Have you ever tried to draw with ink that allows you to add tone by simply using a brush with water? It's a great way to quickly improve your drawing by simplifying your tools and allowing you to travel lighter by taking less with you on location. I show you how to turn a negative into a positive. Your drawing will never be the same.

I just bought my first fountain pen. I say first because I know this will be an obsession. I bought a Kaweco Brass Sport and love it and I love doing sketches using water afterwards. It’s so fun, no colour mixing. Easy to take with me too. Love your videos!

That's great you kept doing what you like to do and what you are talented with to continue to make works of art. 👍👏

If only I had more time to do my art! I would like to study this when I can. Thank you. Sounds like you're a good teacher too!

Wow, this is really nice! I have lot's of fountainpens and even more inks, so I think I'm gonna try this next weekend.
I'm really hard to myself, everything I made should at least be perfect, maybe this helps me to let that go a bit.

That's the best way to go about drawing, or any art, really. Start where you're at... but make a start. As the saying goes, progress, not perfection. Draw On!!!

I use both kinds of ink. Waterproof for line and wash, when I intend to add watercolour. And recently I discovered that there is such a thing as bi-coloured inks (f.e. by Diamine) which are fun when the hues change depending on the amount of water.

Thanks for the heads-up on the Diamine inks, I'm gonna check them out. Draw On!

I've noticed that some inks exhibit unpredictable color separation when water is applied. Could you recommend inks that provide more consistent results?

Hi, if for example some drips of ink fall on a table, on the floor, on a thirt or other objects, is it possible to clean it and how? There is difference in between inks about easy to clean? I mean if I can permanently damage objects around home. Thx 🙏
