    Reel is a tank been my surf set up for the past year no issues and handles 20 to 40 lb fish with ease

    What reel would you recommend for reef fishing and average size Pelagics like mac tuna and spotty mackerel, I'm looking for a reel about 4000-5000 size

      Nick White This reel would be great for that, plus you have the baitrunner feat as well.

      I think the 6000 is about right, but the 4 should work too, just not the line capacity if you do hook something unusually large. And the 4 has like 5 less pounds of drag than the 6.

    Still made--NOT in China, but Japan. My friend dropped his overboard in about 100 feet of water. Used his jig stick to get it back, fished it the rest of the day, that night, took it apart--no need for any service, no water found inside. Think about that.
