I absolutely love how exaggerated this dude draws characters. The mayor? Just a *t r i a n g l e*. The werewolf? A wolf with MASSIVE teeth. Jack? Thin as fish bones. I love it.

Just this entire part if Jack in Christmas town made me laugh! The silent screams and when Jack breaks the glass to stare at the elves then kisses the bottom bunk one just made me crack up. I have to keep that part on repeat 😂😂
Tim Burton’s extreme proportions of his characters combined with Cas van de Pol’s is a masterpiece 😩🤌🏻
Tim Burton did not actually direct this one. Sure, he threw money at it, but who's to say how much control he really had? Corpse Bride is his real stop-motion baby. And it's SO MUCH BETTER.
While Tim didn't directed it, its always a misconception that he was very hands off of the movie. The movie started with a poem of his. He did designed everything with his original drawings, from the characters, to the backgrounds. He helped pick the actors and actresses, and Danny Elfman for the soundtrack. Its very much his movie too, just as its Henry Selick's, the actual director of the movie.

0:58 - Seriously, these were always the best worlds in Kingdom Hearts. Shame we never went back to Halloween Town in KH3.

Shame KH3 did nothing fun like KH2 did to be brutally honest here, like where's Lion sora? Nope! No classics besides toy story, just things they thought would bring in the most cash. There "reasoning" being "Oh we didn't want to make worlds people had visited before" Because we totally did not want to go back to the worlds we loved most in modern times, its not like we play KH2 over again about 50 times... Kh3? one playthrough maybe, then done.
The fact that none of the TNBC characters show up in the “This Is Halloween” level of Melody of Memory also was kind of a bummer.
@@Goremize I half agree, It would have been nice to revisit more worlds besides pirates, however for the narrative they were setting up for the ending, the worlds we did get and the foreshadowing they set up were actually important. In a way kh2 felt more like fan service and kh3 was straight up plot. (im sure someone will argue 'what plot' but its job was to drag us kicking and screaming to the ending, not to be fluffy and filler) Worlds like nightmare before christmas and pride land's stories were already finished in kh2 and going back wouldnt have served much purpose besides fan service. I wouldnt say kh3 was the best in the series, and of course there were issues, but there was an actual purpose to each world and each one cemented the ending before we even got to it. (again dont get me wrong kh2 is still my favourite in the series, but kh3 wasnt the worse)

It's perfect how he made Jack unnerving in his motions, even though that's just how Jack is.
Even in the original film, Jack's merit as the king of Halloween wasn't being hideous himself: everyone in town is easily more horrendous than he is except Sally, but Jack is very well versed into set-ups, acting and gesture while everyone else is a goofball.
Cas didn't feel like animating the rest of the story, so he just ended it with Jack blowing up.
I thought the ending was santa and boogie have a gang orgy with his "bedbugs" ;)

This is EXACTLY how I remembered it. Naked Claus, Jack being blown up, sora stalking Jack, and 2 kids kidnapping a fat guy in a red suit.
I love how the movie ends with the US military shooting down "Santa" because a few kids weren't happy with what they got for Christmas. The realism is on point.
I mean in their defense in this version Jack killed 3 kids and gave one a dildo so it was justified.

Fun fact: The only human adult faces shown in this movie are Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, a police officer, and a woman reading a book to elves in Christmas town, all others are only shown from the neck down.
It's debatable if Santa Claus counts as a human, thus his wife and I would argue even any other being of the christmas realm...
