I like how slick the folded diapers look. I've continued using the mini kite fold today because it just seems like it would be so soft and cozy on the baby. That's an awesome idea to have the diaper in the cover to make it easy to put on.
Love this fold! Do you think its a good one for a newborn? I have all of my flats folded into mini kites for when we transition out of disposables a few weeks after she gets here....which could be any day!
+Lauren Perry I didn't use flats until my baby was 6 months and 20 pounds (she got big fast!) so it is hard to say. I used newborn prefolds. I would say a mini kite fold would be about the same bulk wise and newborns are pretty froggy legged so the extra bulk between the legs is not as big as a problem as you might think. I think they would be good for a newborn, but good for a brand new and healing mom? If you have helping hands around I say go for it, but maybe have some prefolds as well, for laundry ease. how long does it last on ur older baby !!! mine is 7 months now !! I cloth diaper a few babies now but this is my first go around with flat diapers but so far I'm in love with how trim they are .. worried when she gets bigger it will not hold her :(
+Apple tini I double up for overnight and it lasts 11-12 hours. I change her first thing when she wakes up, then again 45 minutes to an hour later. I think she holds her pee most of the night so first diaper gets soaked pretty quick, after that first diaper I change her every 2-3 hours.

What would happen if you don’t snappi? Have you ever tried to see if it will just stay on?

How many flats do you think would be a good stash for a 2 month old? I wanna be able to was every three days no problem.
I would plan for 15-20 diapers per day. 2 month olds love to poop in a freshly changed diaper, lol
