Thank you for the respect shown as you entered Stan! Warms my heart so much and even more that you lit a candle for all of your viewers. Thank you so much!
A lovely video, thank you. And please don’t ever say ‘sorry this is just a short video.’ We are very lucky to have any of this amazing free content from you, no matter how long or short. 😊
It is not only interesting to visit the graves and the chapel it is also very respectful. Lighting the candles was so touching. Thank you and God bless you.
Stan the respect you showed upon entering the chapel was so heartwarming. It was so thoughtful of you to light a candle for us. Love your history lesson!!!
Thank you for lighting a candle for us. As a Quaker, I doubt anyone ever did that for me before! Blessings to every one in your varied audience, and prayers right back at you Stan and Sadie.
Stan : engineer, mathematician, welder/machinist, musician, … and now historian! What else?!?! Definitely an asset to the Pletherick Clan. ❤ I know I sound like a broken record, but Sadie just absolutely glows with happiness. It suits you well, Miss Sadie! 💞
Stan is very interesting to listen to with all the history and knowledge, a natural educator. Sadie is so respectful and understanding in helping Stan with English translations. Two lovely people making others happy.❤
I am very impressed and pleased at the interest and respectfulness Stan shows the Church. I am not Catholic, but I believe strongly in Jesus who sustained the church through thousands of years of scoffs and side glances much less horrible treatment and abuse. Thank you, Stan for your scholarly approach to this endeavor with a bit of fun at the end with Sadie.
Ahh Stan, just when we think we couldn’t love you anymore than we already do, you take us to the historic Church of Pannard family. Your bowing your head in respect when you first entered the Church was a joy to see. Thanks for lighting the candles as well .. seriously couldn’t admire you more. 👍🏻🌹🙏🏻. New Zealand 🇳🇿
Stan is a very ...interesting man. Seeing and hearing him makes me wonder about his background. He's obviously well educated and a very capable person. Always an asset!
Perhaps one day he will tell us more about himself, we are all very curious to know where he comes from, what country he was born in, how he arrived in France etc… we don’t want to be nosy but he is such an interesting person!
Stan has a phd in engineering….. he’s a mathematician….. he builds bridges…. If you go to the video on the question and answers….. he speaks most modestly about his life.
What a beautiful chapel. How respectful that Stan genuflected at the alter. I said a little prayer for your success in rebuilding Pannard as you lit the candles. Thanks for bringing us along on this journey so rich in history.
How respectful are you Stan? Intelligent, mannerly, musical, capable with your hands. I’m so looking forward to this next year. Sadie you’ve found a good one here.💕
It is great that some of the history is still there about Chateau de Pannard and can be found. Paying homage to them is a wonderful thing as well. Have a great day stay warm.
As you walked into the chapel I found myself humming along in my head to the hymn being played, it is a very comforting musical memory. Stan, when you genuflected upon entering the chapel, my heart filled with love and admiration for the respect you show to everyone and everything around you, be it people, buildings or history. Lighting a candle was a special gift to us all. Thank you and continue your good works, they do not go unnoticed. Sadie, you are one of the hardest working women on TH-cam, not afraid to get grimy to find the beauty hidden beneath. Merry Christmas to both of you ! ❤
Thank you for respecting the history of your chateau by showing us some of the "roots" of the family tree of the chatelaines. The long history of what is becoming your home is fascinating. ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
I enjoyed this episode on the history of your Chateau and its past owners so much that I have watched it three times already. The Chapel and the graveyard are incredibly beautiful and filled with family history. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us! I love learning about the history of your Chateau. I am Catholic. Seeing Stan genuflect and your lighting the candles to honor the family members warms my heart! Here’s hoping for a very successful renovation! ❤🎉🥳🎊
Haven't even finished the video! But I see it and immediately click to watch!! Edit: thanks for sharing some more of the history of the chateau and those who lived there once upon a time! Really enjoyed this :)
Thank you for sharing the history and grave sites of the chateau’s owners. The chapel is such a little gem. Hope it gets renovated to it’s former glory 😍😘
I love the history behind this magnificent building. There has to be an underground escape way. Being nobles, gave them a privileged life that would be sought after by others willing to lay siege to the castle. Now whether it still exists in its entirety, is highly doubtful. But parts could still be there. Hopefully that 1400 to 1500 portion of the castle basement still exists, waiting to be found, and hasn’t been back filled. I’m sure there will be many exciting finds yet to come.
Lovely video full of respect and knowledge Stan will knock walls down, back to when it was first built. If the tunnel is still there he will find it. Happy Christmas Stan Sadie and all of you🌲🌲🥂
I love that you are sharing and educationing us on the history of your chateau, town, the Pennard family, chapel, and tombs. It brings it all together, and makes what you're doing even more important & special. You two need to snuggle more to keep warm.
I was very moved by this video. You have the utmost respect for the history. That is so important, as you restore that building it will show you how grateful it is....love you both so much❤❤❤❤❤😊
Another interesting and delightful video! Stan is so respectful and knowledgeable while Sadie is right beside him helping him out with language glitches and working together with him on their mansion!
Short and sweet- wonderful history lesson; to me this video was very appropriate, to pay respects to the family and to remember the birth of Christ, celebrated in this season 🙏❤️. Thank you Stan and Sadie, many blessings to you both 😊, Rose
I believe you guys and lady are doing a great thing Fixing up an old cassel Saving history for many years to come To day paying respect to those who lived before us Teaching us history of those before us Lighting candles in memorie of them I think they would be so glad of what you are doing Much respect to you Fireman 🔥🔥🔥👍
Stan & Sadie, thank you for taking us to visit that beautiful old chapel, it's amazing how many of the old families-built Chapels to represent their families like Billy's Chateau has its own chapel. Merry Christmas to both of you, Kathy USA
Thank you for researching the Incredible History surrounding the Chapel and the graveyard. I absolutely love this kind of information. This is going down as one of my favorite segments. You two are the best!
One of the strengths in your videos Stan and Sadie, is the history you provide to us. Thank you, I enjoy it so much. Bless you Stan for lighting a candle on our behalf. ❤️🎄
That was an amazing history lesson & very touching. What a lovely couple to be stepping up to honor the family & the Chateau. Sadie & Stan are very special together.
It is a great joy to accompany you on the renovation journey on weekdays. You radiate joy and love. Stan has so many talents, not least playing the accordion. All the best and prosperity to you. Marianne from Sweden
I am glad that you have taken a day off as you have been working so hard. Thank you both for this journey. Lighting those candles was very honouring to the family of the chateau.
Very interesting how these old churches were and still remain a part of history there. The attached cemetery with the graves of those who worshipped and invested in the church over the century's is a history lesson in itself. Thanks for dedicating a candle for us Sadie and Stan. Hope you and your family have a blessed Christmas🎄
This is right up my street!!! Everywhere I go I visit cemeteries because it explains the history of a village or town. I take multiple photos and then write about it..
What a beautiful chapel....love those stainglass windows. We dont get that beautiful vibrant blue anymore. Love your commentary Stan & Sadie have a beautiful Xmas ❤
I just love the history. I’m French Canadian living in the states. On the back of my great-great grandparents tombstones in Colorado, it says that they were immigrants from France. Our family name was Plamondon. I hope someday to finish my family tree and travel to France.
Stan, the respect you showed entering the church and then lighting the candles…so special!! Thank you! And don’t ever apologize for a “short” video. As someone passionate about history and architecture, it was a wonderful video. I can’t wait to see where this journey goes!
As a catholic I appreciated the candle lighting. Good to know the history of the Chateau, the families who lived, loved and built memories so many centuries ago, memories forgotten thru time, and now in the 21st century their home is developing new stories, new memories as it’s been brought back to life by Sadie and Stan. Blessings.
I love that you go to the trouble to look up all the history and tell and show us. It makes the work that you are doing just that much more important. Well done both of you.
Merci pour cette petite vidéo qui nos en apprend un peut plus sur l'histoire de ce coin de la France. Joyeux noël et Bonne Année à vous tous. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
Very nice, I live in Central Indiana in the US. When you speak about the 11th century or 13th century, that is so cool because we don't have old stuff like that here, I would love to see all that.
It was so sweet of you to light candles for your viewers and the Pannard family. Love the respect Stan showed on entering the little church and loved the Ave Maria music, it is such a beautiful piece. Thank you both xx

It's amazing how well Stan speaks English and French. He is very interested and knowledgeable about history, well done Stan. Xx
Giving us the history is so important. It brings the chateau to life. Without the history it's just a building.

As a Catholic who was taught by the French order of the Sisters of Charity I just absolutely adore this. Thank you Stan.
I noted that Stan showed his respect to God, in the old traditional way of bowing his head as he entered the chapel. Yes, raised very well!
Stan is very interesting to listen to with all the history and knowledge, a natural educator. Sadie is so respectful and understanding in helping Stan with English translations. Two lovely people making others happy.❤

He is a masculine man, something we lack in today’s society.
