I love how Mako's theme is like a melancholic DnB journey in the entire first minute, then it changes in 0:58 where it starts to transition into the drop and incorporating parts of the sister's own themesongs; where at 1:30 you can start singing Vice Versa's "And I'm not just a shadow of you I don't need to sacrifice the light in me" (How she as a Blue Oni doesn't have to change herself due to her parents views) Then at 1:42 to Thousand Absolutes "Oh I just got a feeling I'm sleeping At ten past six I'm always dreaming Believing Ideal exists" (Where she can freely spread her dreams and talents, of her being on a larger stage than at the temple, where her ideal playground would be) Then at 1:48 back to Vice Versa "and the world is waiting for me" (She is about to show the world what she can do, but more importantly the sisters are waiting for her) It's fucking genius, after having read the entire story of Mako and how emotionally grating it would be for your average person to be locked up for 5 years without friends just fulfilling your strict parents wishes, she's not just finally free. She's the literal glue that holds Demon Dais together, and she was the missing recipe for their individual successes of both their songs. She's as a support should be; uplifting each other to greater heights.
Her whole song is basically "the band is back together again" I haven't noticed the vice versa and thousand absolutes references, but truth be told it's mostly hidden in the lead guitar So for me it goes like : *mako starts the beat on drums* *mako + octavia drum n bass* *mako + vyce on lead guitar* and then finally *Vyce harmonises with Octavia* It's so beautiful

I like how the percussionist of this band acts as the mediator between the oni twins, keeping them steady, and helping them work in time with one another much like the role of actual percussion in a true band. That's reflected in the music here as well, which ties together the focuses of each member of the trio exceptionally. It's fitting that this supportive friend has a theme that's not just her own, but a piece that unifies those she works around into a greater whole!
Even though the game is already dead, I'm glad they released the last character. Along with the final update, I'm sad that the game ends like this. but I will always like the game's songs and character design.
If this is the last song we get from James for Omega Strikers, I'm glad it got to be this one. It still has the fun energy that I love about the game, but it also has a refinement to it. All the experience gained throughout its run shows he knew what made it great, but also ready to look forward towards the future. Truly thanks for creating this homerun of a sendoff song and being a huge reason why I view Omega Strikers so fondly.

I just now found out that the man behind one of the best OST’s I’ve heard is also a Splatoon fan. The fact that I had to go out of my way looking for Strikers music to find this channel is a complete failure on the recommendation algorithm’s part
Definitely my favorite track from the game. The general melody, the incorporation of the demon sisters' themes (and I swear there's some musical reference to 'A Thousand Miles' starting around 1:00 or so ;) lol), It all just comes together so well. Here's hoping Odyssey invites you back to work on their future projects.

It's great character design and theme design like these that make me love a game. It's sad that it's probably not going to see that much recognition
