"This isn't the be-all end-all documentary of Nurse With Wound" Is there one? I'd love to see it. This is the only one I know of and it's great. His environment looks great. Must be a fun place for the kids to grow up
Actually knew Steve's brother called Mick just after the first album called Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella was released. Hearing it for the first time, was very impressed by the way it was put together.
Thanks so much for all of these rockumentaries Jon! It's as if I've told you all my favourite people who make noise and you've gone off and interviewed them all. Most people that I list off my favourite bands to have heard of none of them and I can't think of one of my favourites that you've missed! I'm so glad I found my way to your awesome channel. ☺ 👍 ☝ 👍
@13:00, the naked lady had a beehive in her vagooter and let all the bees loose on the other woman's face as the clothed woman was complaining about her being clotheless and flaunting her body. That's what's happening in the photo.
Except that with a rabbit it can actually be detrimental to their well being. I know because I used to own one and read to never put a rabbit on its back!
I have that 10 inch comp that he couldent remember the name of which came from his own collection via Discogs.Amazing place, how the hell many kids has he?
***** There isn't one, all modern PCs suck to some extent. But if I had to pick a fave operating system I'd say joint Windows XP Pro and Suse Linux. PCs have a distinct advantage over Macs in that they are cheaper and easier to maintain, fix and modify.
+Fnord Prefect Probably Studio/professional work computer not HOME.COMPUTER. A PC is A PC.. whether it runs mac / linux / windows or nothing.. That is the worst thing Apple ever did.
What's the artists name that he got 2 pictures hanging in the room with his female hip hop collection - the picture with the naked ladies and their intestines hanging out? Lauren Something? Can't understand it clearly. Thanks.
His house is as broken, and as beautiful, as his music. Like you do. But for reals, I kinda expected some serial killer vibes. But nah, just a dude. Like you do.
Hey Babs...I've copied your CUT from Sucked orange 🍊 & its nearly finished...Its 3ft by 3ft..in oils very proud of it as its my 1st oil painting...Want to sell it...Can I have your permission....Please . Jonah x
I've always admired Steven. Just not necessarily his music. Or should I say "music". Because it's a sort of anti-music, really, that I never quite know what to do with. The proper response to anti-music is not listening to it I guess, so that has largely been my response. I love the idea of UD and NWW, just not the reality of it in my speakers. Plus it's unfair. Something like this could only have been possible in the 1970s and 80s. At some point in the early 90s the door slammed shut on any small scale cultural activity as massive corporations swallowed up everything again.
This is the best Cribs of all time
actual truth
3:50 "I made those out of bits and bobs that I found" i think he summed up his whole musical output there
He is basically the david lynch of underground music
Stephen has been around as long as David,..they’re contemporaries.
He must be an out of this world dad for sure. Im impressed to see this aspect of his persona. Quite relaxed and cool guy.
Surreal Estate developer.
His house is basically custom built by him. That is very cool.
"alcoholic children" ADOPT ME
The best man to learn how to set your imagination at your own loyal service. It's not too late. Never is.
wow I can't believe he played the whole nurse with wound album while he was showing the house
I like how his children seem to discover the property at the same time as we do
His older one slamming the bottle my children some of my "alcoholic children "
What a lovely explosion of creativity!!!
He built a miracle house for his life and work - genial and positively twisted just like him :)
Amazed me to find something about Nurse With Wounds. I have had no idea who was behind the albums that frighten me some years ago.

My first Steven Stapleton interview. I was lloking forward for it since I came across NWW. His crib is like his music, amazing.
What a lovely home he's built, hopefully one day I can do something similar.
Think it would pass coding 😄
7:57 somebody knows What is that ?
He seems like a really cool guy.
Creative genius in so many ways and a great loss
loss of what
Recycling is the way to go- so much character in the randomness
I wish Steven Stapleton was my dad.

Christoph Heemann.
J'aime nurse with wound ! Un petit bout de paradis " cooloorta ", très talentueux Steven stapleton.
Homotopy To Marie (Album) got me through my Freshman Year ov University,
I love how the kids are fighting and he's all cool, 'whatever'
I like him and his sounds : )
You can make a rabbit fall asleep the same way he did with the chicken.
Except that with a rabbit it can actually be detrimental to their well being. I know because I used to own one and read to never put a rabbit on its back!

Who is the artist that that created the black-and-white graphics Steven said was “probably his favorite”, displayed in his office ?
Roland Topor. Quite a fascinating artist indeed.
whats the name of the artist at 13:00 ??
Roland Topor. He wrote the novel _The Tenant,_ of which Roman Polanski made a film version.
"I really like recycling stuff"
5:44 Thats somthing Bill Cosby once said
And an interview/Doku with Cabaret Voltaire for when?
rip
The artist at 13:00 is named Roman _____? Anyone help?
And I found out: Roland Topor!
11:50, it was all going so well and then I spy a fucking iMac. Worst.Home computer. Ever.
It probably doesn't even have Internet, he most likely uses it solely for music
A bad carpenter blames his tools.
CreepyT But a shit tool is still a shit tool.

I wonder how many people do that to get their chickens to fall asleep probably more then I think
it would make sense that to make NWW music, you would have knowledge of many things.
Song at end?
Awesome documentary. What is the song at the very beginning?
thanks!
peloquinful thanks!
"Pleasant Banjo Intro With Irritating Squeak", first track on A Sucked Orange.
13:10 who's the artist
What's the artists name that he got 2 pictures hanging in the room with his female hip hop collection - the picture with the naked ladies and their intestines hanging out? Lauren Something? Can't understand it clearly. Thanks.

'Pleasant Banjo Intro With Irritating Squeak' from A Sucked Orange
hundertwasserismishtmusnessness ness

The guy in the record store had it backwards. Close Encounter WAS weird. (that's how I liked it.) - the human league track was shit
