Myself & a couple friends had those Parker Bros copy of the Randall hollow handle. I had a Parker Bros hollow handle w/ a 4 " blade I lost while hiking. Layer my best friend & I had the Hibben Rambo 3 knifes. I also wanted the Gerber BMF w/ sawtooth & 9" blade but never had the money to purchase one back in the '80s. I also liked the Buck buckmaster LT.
Hi Snowman, thanks for the video ! On the pics I sent you we can see : Alcas "The Solution" with revolving handle, S&W survival, Carl Schlieper Survival Companion, Carl Schlieper Survival Knife, Herbertz Überlebensmesser, custom AFSK with Schlieper's handle I made myself, Tekna Wilderness Edge, Lifeknife Floatknife, Aitor Mauser with flare launcher, Aitor Bucanero, Aitor Jungle King I model 464.200, Imax Master, and a few others. That's maybe 50% of my hollow handle knives collection.
Alcas "The Solution" is so cool! Carl Schlieper? Ok cool I thought they were Night Hawks they do look similar. All your Aitor's are killer looking I need to get one of those and I looked up that Wilkinson Sword survival knife and that thing is wicked cool with a removable handle to reveal a survival tube! And they're not cheap. Thanks for sharing and it was my pleasure showcasing them for you.
My Friend this is a great collection of the best survival knifes of all the times. I hope to have the opportunity to contact you to share with you some pictures of my Marto Brewer knifes and the Aitor JKI and JKII . The french guy has one of the prototypes of the JKI the Aitor Jungla 863 leather sheath. I have one stamped in the cap but different sheath. The difference between Marto Brewer Explora and explorer marks is because the explorer stamp is a especial order for the us air force. and of course a little unclear issues of Marto because they don't want to pay royalties to Mr. Brewer Carias if they won the contract. And the legal battle begin. Thanks for share your video. Send special thanks to the french guy for the collaboration. Saludos Amigo
Sounds great my email is below and yes you're right when Marto Co. stopped paying Mr. Brewer Carais his royalty checks they changed the name of the knife.
Hello - hurray, it's Hollow Handle Survival Knife Day! Thanks for the video - very COOL collection you have there. Is your new 5.5 inch Marto Brewer Commando stamped with Explorer or Explora? And which serial number does it have?
I have started collecting all the 1980’s knives I had as a kid on our farm, I have managed to find about 30 something so far, a lot are mint still in box 👍🏻🇦🇺
Awesome bro! It's actually rewarding and fun searching for them isn't it? I find searching for the rare ones and the ones that are just different, I really find it cool when I run across one I've never seen before. The old 80s Gutmann are still priced where anyone can get into knife collecting however some of the vintage models are really getting pricey as I'm sure you're aware of. Appreciate you stopping by my knife brother, I'll be back with another March 14, Hollow Handle Survival Knife Day tribute video next March 14th!
I just picked up my first true HH knife in came in the mail today, Sam Wilson SS1. Loving it so far they’re such a cool concept. Before this I had a Pohl Force Prepper 1 which I sold, it wasn’t a normal HH it had hollowed scales on each side and a skeletonized tang which was used as the storage compartment.
gfsnow921@yahoo.com I'll try and include any in next years Hollow Handle Survival Knife Day 2025, God willing I'm still here and things are still rolling. lol!
hey brotha, would you have any usmc blades there you would trade/swap/barter perhaps ? tracking down a full sized usmc ka-bar in really good cond. , blade wise that is , thanks n talk soon bro > tom !
Very cool video. Very cool

Hi,
Awesome! Just awesome !
I wish Buck would bring back the buckmaster. it would be nice to see a modern one that isn't a rothco ramster and made to a high end quality standard.
I have the buckmaster 184 hollow handle and I love it I've had it for years and I don't use it
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it! Right? lol!
