This song wasn’t JUST Dialga’s fight to the finish, it was ALL OF OUR fight to the finish. That last battle to save the world. This remix gave me the exact same feeling that the original had.
Coming back to this way later and man it still deserves so many more views. I still stand by my previous comment that this is the best recreation of the OST by a long shot.
Everyone's talking about how hard this fight was, yet here I am, having landed Skitty as my player character in a game where the move Assist was SUPER OP. Why? Assist chooses one of the moves of ANY pokemon on the same floor as you. Should've seen my surprise when I managed to use Roar Of Time right back at Dialga, which ended the fight real fast 😂

This song somehow never gets old. Some of that emotion from the game is still attached, and now there's nostalgia too. It's been so long, and it's still a beautiful, epic and emotional track. Amazing restoration!!!

The final battle is at hand. The wind would blow, but time is stopping more and more as Temporal Tower crumbles like sand. You must defeat the maddened lord of Time, restore the gears and protect them all!
What's fun about the battle is that it's one of the only battles in the game with its own music, and this music is fitting for the final boss fight of the game

I'm not surprised that Dialga"s fight to the finish is more popular, but I'm glad I've found this. I really like what you did with it: I can properly feel the energy of the song, without any of the compression the original had. You say it's far from perfect. I know its not necessary to explain this stuff but here's some information about this series that's been unknown for a long time, but I am finally starting to feel comfortable enough to share: I've always felt kind of insecure about this series on my channel due to the fact I'm working off of the original MIDI datasets from the game's dumped ROM packages, just with a different SoundFont file, and better sampling and quality, and due to that the nature of my restorations is actually different than a lot of the others since I put in way more effort than usual, which is why this series is more quality over quantity, and why I barely upload these very often. And in fact as of right now I am taking a break from TH-cam completely due to school finals, but I have 4 of these currently in the works, but without a way of visualizing the music in a good way since I want to move away from the default power director assets I've been using as the backgrounds for the whole series, I want to make the series better when I come back.. I hope you enjoy the rest of the series both for what's already uploaded and for the future videos I will eventually begin posting for it. I also want to mention while my channel is currently mostly gaming I do plan to start posting more actual music related stuff, and when i finally come back to my PMD series that's when I plan to begin that edit: I am sorry for this reply being so dang long

I loved this fight. The only super effective move between me and my partner was his Dig Tm I taught the guy about halfway through the game, so this fight was a genuine struggle to see who would run out of momentum first. Chikorita could barely survive a Roar of Time as long as Dialga didn't have AncientPower's boost and I was at full health, and would counter with Overgrowth Giga Drain while Piplup unleashed Dig. It was the fun kind of slog.
I remember telling myself everytime I ever wanted to restart this game as a kid that Mudkip was a MUST because of Endeavor doing like -681 damage in one hit 😭

It's the flute from the original :D I am working off of the MIDI datasets from the original ROM, but with new samples in the soundfonts, which means I get the original energy, but with much higher quality sound, the instrument sets I am using are from the general user GS midisynth 1.471 soundfont, and a few from the Roland mt32, and adlib default soundfonts, put into a new soundfonts for use on these remasters

Instead the roms all used MIDIS and custom soundfonts with the PCM samples in them, that were played as needed And no, I still redid a fuck ton of this, like for example in the score for this it was seperated into 3 different files I had to splice together and for the string essenbles I couldn't find the file for it so I had to recreate that from the ground up, so I still had way more work than you think

For anyone who doesn’t know, focus punch on riolu one shots dialga, give it a ton of hp def spd items as many as you can find and wait until the turn you get hit by rot then focus punch, he dies before his recharge is over

A remix is where you change things up, such as this song. turning it into an electronic remix or some shit, without respect to the original energy and original record this is a restoration/remaster because I ripped the original MIDI data from the original ROM and I changed the samples it uses to the general user GS synth soundfont, and used a VST based DAW to do so, to make sure it sounds as best as possible

I tried to fix that but back when I made this I was not able to figure out how to actually make the reverb apply properly given the sh*ness of midi and soundfont data, due to the fact i used the original midi from game rom (as mentioned in previous comments). lets be honest I made this on a crappy 15 year old PC running an OS and VST it couldnt even run properly so yeah, that makes sense and is something im aware of, I have been thinking of redoing this on my new PC due to this...
