Back in the day, before my dad retired from GM/Dephi, he won tickets through the UAW to see the GFS 500 at MIS. It included a pit tour, lunch and we got to me our driver at the time, Joe Nemechek driving the UAW 25 car. Got a signed hat too. I tell people "he might not be the greatest driver in the world, but how many people can say they got something signed by a NASCAR driver?". I got to sit right between turn 3 and 4, so I could see everything all the way down to turns 1 and 2. What I remember fondly was since it was a GFS sponsored race, they actually had a small convoy of GFS trucks with trailers make a trip around the track. To this day, I've never seen a truck lean that far in one direction that wasn't tipping over :P

To answer some few questions fast from the comment:
Track is inspired by Michigan, thus there most likely are some variations from the real thing to this version.
Pit building is a modified version of what you find at city track, which would explain why it looks a bit different with a bit other color scheme than the real pit building.
The two grandstands at last turn is simply there because my old reference picture had them there haha! Tracks evolve all the time, and highlights the danger of being too strict with the sources :)
The grass has this sort of white flowers to it. BB changed some clutter groups in patch, whereas before this was just grass. Might see if I get to change that in future, just got to sort out a lot of other bugs that came in the patch first :)

It is far more than what i expected and I had high hopes, and I am having the most fun I’ve had in a long time from any game. Keep making these awesome videos!

Went to the August 2017 race. All I can say, I’ve been to a NASCAR race. Side note, Brooklyn used to be IT when they came to town. Bill Elliot signing at McDonald’s, Rusty Wallace at the old Bills IGA, I can’t remember if anyone was at Country Market.

They should mod a Night Race Michigan because that would be fun. They should mod Historic Stadiums on Wreckfest with the NASCAR Legends Mod, because it would be a hoot to race the Pontiac Silverdome or The Olympia for fun among other historic facilities.
Love how some of the paint schemes are from days of thunder cars. Wish the number font matched though. Your car was the 18 hard**s car and I saw you crash into sup*rflo oil car....😁
The Very Track Pack is one of the best tracks ever!!!! I can wait to drive Nascar on Road America on Wreckfest. Bring Danica Patrick's green car so I can wreck her on Wreckfest lol.

My personal headcanon for when you race Legends, Gen 6 Camaros or the Thunderstruck 90's cars is that you in Legends is Ted Soundhead, you in the 90's cars is Ed Soundhead Sr., and you in the Gen. 6 Camaros is Ed Soundhead Jr. Apologies if this is confusing or stupid, I just wanted to share an opinion.
The new update looks good, I like the track view. Looking less and less like just another steam game every day

You could set the gear ratios back a bit to speed if you need the car to go faster then 155.
From personal experience I think Road America in Wisconsin is better it's the only race track that had right turns in the U.S.
