  • I'd had my Rab Generator jacket for about twenty hard years and when I dropped it off at their HQ it was more tape and holes than it was original cloth. Their Second Stitch clothing revival team accepted the challenge though and I'm blown away with the awesome results! So what is Second Rab Stitch and how have they brought my zombie jacket back from the dead?

It reminds me of westerns with good costumes, all battered and patched. It's a cycling equivalent of an overcoat that survived numerous cattle drives through mountains, river fords, sleeping on the ground, occasionally rolling into the campfire, Indian attacks and all that. Seeing that jacket tastefully restored in a way that reflects how you left it has genuinely made me happy 😁, the tape will be missed though !!

That’s so cool. We replace / upgrade worn bits on bikes so why not on our clothing? Priceless that you’ve got so many memories in it. Think you ought to put a small piece of gaffer tape on it somewhere to make it complete though. 🤣

I've always used Rab if they had kit that met my needs. I have 20+yr garments from them, but they arent shagged yet, just taped seams not so watertight... Support local, please, people.
p.s. 2 Rab down sleeping bags from about 1990 still doing the job for me and the Mrs! They were a huge cost for us at the time, but they have turned out massive good value.
