👍There’s also a Clemson Class destroyer that was scuttled in the Napa river between Vallejo and American Canyon. I used to play on it when I was a kid. It may not be accessible by foot nowadays. The levees are no longer there. DD 334 USS Corry.
Who knew? Flew in and out of Moffett Field and never took note of this wreck.
Enjoyed seeing some of my old stomping grounds. High point of my casual bird watching was at Coyote Hills. Many years ago I spotted a pink flamingo out in the salt flats from there. Pointed it out to some serous bird watchers. They said they were going to put a star next to that one in their bird book…
You might consider doing a segment on Coyote Hills its transformation from a missile site to a regional park or Draw Bridge the ghost town.

I grewup in Newark and never knew this. Thank you. I became aware of the small town out in the S. Bay alone the tracks. Think its called DrawBridge. So i had thought i knew everything.... just goes to show you there is always more to learn.
It would have been nice to overlay a line drawing or photo over the shots. Just to give ppl an idea of how much is gone.
