@@poosmate I watch his videos over and over. I learn something new every time. So to whoever said nothing new here. You either already know all this or you have the attention span of a house fly.

Dang! I coulda had a sweet side business as a TV installer recovering indium tin oxide from all the broken LCD panels I had access to over the years, I did take apart a couple and kept some LED backlights and those focusing sheets - apparently you can construct an LED lighting panel that feels more like natural window light from the focusing sheets, which was my plan but I don’t really have the space to rework a 65” panel in my little place now - once I move it might be more of a possibility but harder to get ahold of expired TVs where I’ll be.

I did one LED lamp out of the other one. Although its quite weak at emitting light, it might be good for a light table for drawing purposes for some, one A4 fits almost just on it. Gotta ask for more screens from people to recover that stuff.

Rather than scraping the ITO off the glass, what about immersing the glass directly in a bath of hot oxalic acid, a bit like an etching tank? I guess that some chemicals from the glass might leach into solution, but as you said, leaving it for a few days will precipitate them out. Would that work without crushing the glass? Is there a video for beginners that would give them the introduction information to many things you talk about. Would love to see it.

Adding those lens does work great but after your panel gets so hot it hurts the effectiveness I took some very thick heavy duty aluminum foil I just use thermal paste very thin to the foil to back kf my panels and slap all the extra aluminium heat sinks I salvage to that sheet on the panels makes a big difference especially if you mount the panel and len to a tilt and pan sun following base.

I had an idea to use a sheet of plastic or glass that is coated with indium tin oxide that then goes over a sheet of copper that has been heated with sulfur to make copper sulfide. And that is the solar panel of a junction of the copper sulfide and indium tin oxide.
