    I find the best way to plan trips is to find a friend that loves to plan and follow along with them!

    I plan mine by what I can afford. Took one the other day. Nicest trip to the mailbox I’ve taken in a while.

    10hrs driving and nothing changes

    I REALLY appreciate the video. Can you get more in depth with planning with Gaia? I've been trying to use it and simply cant get my head wrapped around a good process on how to use it. I know its a great program but I'm a little thick between the ears.

    • @RevereOverland

    I live here around the LBL in Western Kentucky. It's great for weekend trips, but I have been looking at Daniel Boones NF. Do you have any hot spots or not spots for a overlanding newb?

    • @RevereOverland

      You can’t go wrong with Kentucky Adventure Tour! It is worth avoiding the northernmost section on Spaas Creek and Pumpkin Hollow when it’s wet or if you’re alone though.

    One other question, why do some of the routes on your website click to a motorcycle route? I'm sure Overland routes are used by "motorcycle riders," but can Overlanders drive on a motorcycle route?

    • @RevereOverland
      @RevereOverland  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      For some reason, motorcycle riders create a lot more routes than 4x4 drivers! From my research, all of the routes on my website are also suitable for 4x4. There is on small section of the Great Continental Divide Route that I'm not sure about though. It's a tiny part that follows an abandoned railroad that isn't marked as a road on my maps. I plan on checking it out this summer... hopefully!

    • @RyanWithAviators

      ZR2 Zamboni, I live in Ohio and there really isn't much. What few piddly little bits of trails that are here aren't marked as such or well-known at all. They are also spread far and wide over the central/east side of Ohio like a messy spider web. Nothing so cohesive as the DBBB in Kentucky or the KAT.

    • @tjvance78

      No way it's worse than Florida, in Ohio at least you're not dying of heat exhaustion while not seeing anything.

    • @saginawdan

      I've driven all over Florida. It's geography is quite diverse, it has thousands of miles of waterways and coastline and the Everglades.
      Tons of history too. Admittedly it is rather flat. This is from a Minnesota guy BTW.

    • @rickm4295
      @rickm4295 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@saginawdan That's it right there, FLAT. If you like black bottomless mud, Florida is great. Give me Utah and Colorado for wheeling and camping. California has it all actually 🤔. I think Utah would be a great place to live, the scenery is stunning no matter how many times you look at it
