      Thanks for your support! I lost sight of why I started my channel and tried to be like other TH-camrs. For example, I'm changing things up by asking viewers about their product interests and needs. This way, I can incorporate their feedback into my reviews and make my channel more inclusive and helpful for everyone. Hopefully videos and ideas this can shake things up and be valuable for everyone.

      I really appreciate it. It is so hard trying to get people to understand how great things are; at this point, it's about preference.
      There might be a feature you think is missing, which is fine; another product will have it, but to make your whole being around being upset or getting others upset has no value.
      My job is to show you what's out there, what it does, and hopefully, you'll find the best product for you. That's all.

      I think it was last year after a whole year of getting me hyped for the new Apple watch and iPhone. This TH-camr leaked this year's iPhone and said we should wait. Then a month later started making videos about how this year's iPhone was going to be disappointing. And I kid you not, like 2 months ago, they started recommending waiting for next year's iPhone. I unsubbed.

    Damn you read my mind... They make 70 videos about leaks, release dates and potential features in order to rake in the views and then on release they moan that there's no "supercharged-AI-photosynthesis-projection-recognition". And I agree with the 120hz thing. Why on earth would Apple include 120hz in a non-pro phone (raising the price) when most people just don't care 😂 Criticism is important (I definitely wish Apple worked on Siri), but some people just take it way too seriously. As someone that's had the iPhone 8 plus since release, now upgrading to 15 pro max, I'm stoked!!

    The average person does not upgrade their phone every year, it's more like 3 to 5 years. Apple has 1.4 billion active iPhone users so putting every feature under the sun into one generation is NOT realistic nor smart as a business strategy! Personally going from the 6 to the XS felt was a huge upgrade and battery is more important than 120 hz!

    I'm so with you on this! Thanks for speaking up about it. Every year this time of year I watch a lot of content about the new iPhones and other devices and it always amazes me how quickly people pile on Apple for every possible complaint they have. I've used an iPhone since 2012 and I very rarely ever have issues with the functionality and usability. It's smooth and seamless, the design is so much better than any Android, and I'm buying into an ecosystem that just works for me. I definitely have my gripes with Apple, believe me, but their focus on security and a smoother user experience is why I am very loyal. These tech TH-camrs who come in hot every September and shit all over the new phones with the same tired complaints that most of us Apple users don't care about are just grifting on the Apple hate train if you ask me. Apple users don't really come for Android in the same way because it's none of our business nor do we care what phone you use, and it really bugs me how uppity and condescending they get around the updates every year and just in general. Not that Apple users don't ever get pompous about their using of Apple products but to me it's a different energy when Android users collectively harp on things we genuinely don't care about.

    TH-cam and tech reviewers have ruined me this week. I guess it’s my fault getting sucked in the TH-cam vortex. I’m upgrading from a 7 plus and I have no idea what to buy. There’s a lot of videos that hype up the 13 mini as the perfect size phone, and I have to admit the size is appealing. But the 15 has a really nice camera on it for the price. It’s the same as my wife’s 14 pro and I was blown away by her photos compared to mine. But some people say it’s pathetic the 15 doesn’t have 120 refresh rate and now I feel like I need a 15 pro. But I hate how the camera stick out on the pros and they’re so big… ugh, this all started because I wanted a phone that would work with the new Apple Watch but my 7 is stuck on iOS 15 and isn’t compatible.

    • @wlsntech
      @wlsntech  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want the better camera, since Apple normally loads the pro version with the good stuff, I think you should go with last year's 14 pro which is probably at a good reduced price right now. That would be the best compromise between getting a really great upgrade without having to deal with the 15 Pro if you don't like how it looks.
      The one thing with reviewers is a lot of them are good but they usually are seeking the bleeding edge or looking it from their perspective as someone who purchased last year's version. Which is great cuz you really want to know what's the best. But that doesn't always mean that it's the best for you. So take their recommendations with a grain of salt.
      Go for the regular 15 or go for last year's 14 pro. When you get it in your hands you will not be disappointed.

    • @wlsntech
      @wlsntech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep, I agree. Small changes are still “small” changes. My only gripe was the unrealistic expectation of yearly monumental changes & the focus on what those monumental things should be. Apple definitely holds back and cuts back on their products. 2) Of course I'm not gonna buy the 15, that's not the problem, I'm criticising the toxic market policy apple keeps doing on the costumers. They're not going to lose money if they put a 120hz screen on the base model and we all know it. The keep it on 60 to differentiate the lineups (the pro iphone has not really innovated in the last years so they have to) as well as they cap the usb-c speed. So in the end ur gonna buy a product that's out of market just for the fact you've to stay in the ecosystem, especially if you're an American, from what i know

    I am sory man but I don't know how you can make a review like this and call out other tech reviewers, a bit hypocritical.
    1. It's not the point that 120hz is important to a grandma, it's the fact that an $800 phone in 2023 still has a 60hz screen, you can argue as much as you want but at the end of the day apple is cutting corners.
    2. It's not only the screen, they have now started to use a year old chip in an $800 and $900 phone, this is unacceptable
    3. Apple acting like these are all big things, this is why reviewers are important to tell normal consumers on what is happening.
    4. Apple silently increasing the Pro Max price to $1200 and telling the "average consumer" that it's the same price as last gen 256gb. The average consumer doesn't know that storage prices reduces significantly, 256GB should be the base in 2023. A 1TB SSD cost $300 few years back, now it's like $70.
    5. USB 2 in an $800 phone so they have a difference between the pro lineup
    I could just go on an on but the main point here is just because someones grandma or the average consumer doesn't know about something doesn't give Apple the right to cut corners on these things. It's not the right thing to do. Of course Apple is the most accessible phone but it still isn't right. To be clear I don't think every year needs to be a significant upgrade, but Apple acting like it is is morally wrong, Apple cutting corners is also morally wrong, the average consumer won't notice these things, it's on the hand of reviewers like you to be honest.
    You being a reviewer should inform people about this, not take Apple's side. Not meaning to be rude here, just pointing out some things. Feel free to correct me.

    • @ajmalzahir

      It's like how a kid doesn't know how valuable a 5 dollar is compared to 10 dollars, for a kid it's the same, it's just "money" but it's not right to take 10 dollars from a kid and give an ice cream worth 5 dollars even if the kid is entirely satisfied with the ice cream and thinks it's the best Ice Cream they had.

    • @wlsntech
      @wlsntech  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The focus on specs often overshadows real-world performance. While the iPhone might sport a year-old chip, its actual day-to-day performance remains top-notch for many. The "grandma not caring about 120Hz" example illustrates that not all prioritize high-end specs. Many in the tech community seem more concerned with spec sheets than daily usability. If an iPhone underperforms, that's a valid concern. But if the issue is solely about not having the latest specs on paper, it underscores the disconnect between some tech reviewers and average users. Everyone's tech priorities differ, and that's the crux of the matter.

    • @ajmalzahir
      @ajmalzahir ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@wlsntech I disagree again.
      Yes the year old chip doesn't make a difference when it's released but it does make a difference after 3 or 4 years. That's when it will show it's age this is very important for the average user who do not upgrade every year, a new chip means they can use the phone 1 or 2 more years and that's a big difference if you ask me.
      120hz doesn't take away from anything and can be disabled in setting, it without a doubt should have been a feature and the only reason it was not is to make the pros look good and cost cutting.
      I do agree that it shouldn't always be about specs but only when a good hardware phone has bad software. A good phone should have both good software and hardware. $800 is not small change.

      @@wlsntech 120hz is much smoother and overall better for the user in terms of just comfort.
      It's not neccessary, but if every other phone in that price point has it and Apple doesn't, (and the A16 chip is more than capable of delivering it) there really isn't a good point i'd say?

    The problem isn't that it's too similar, it's how anti-consumer apple is. The biggest difference (USB-C) wasn't a decision apple made, it was something they were forced to do by the UK. This combined with how similar the new phone is to the last one is what makes it easy and right to shit on apple

    you have never used an android in your life. apple could be better, but they chose not to. if every android release is revolutionary, then why isn't apples?

      My last Android device was indeed the Samsung Eternity. And the only time I use it Android is when I use my tablet or fix my mom's Samsung Galaxy. But one of the things you mentioned is that Android does something revolutionary each time, which one? Are you compiling all of the different companies because that would be true. Apple copies and does a lot of generic things which I'm not here to defend it. But the vocal gripes and displeasures towards Apple for things that the different Android companies follow without that similar backlash is a little sus
