Tbh what he said makes sense as harden is a player who relies on swift changing of directions and isn't the most athletic type of basketball player. He usually relies on change of speed and quick agile movements. So it makes sense that this shoe isn't made for high jumping.
As a fellow volleyball and basketball player I do have these shoes and they built a bit different so I had to get used to em, Anakin you gave a perfect explanation, the shoes are good but not meant specifically for jumping although it’s still possible to jump high in them
@@goomba7543 Oh yes I agree totally at the end of the day its basketball shoes and they are worn by guys who are athletic and well James Harden himself is a guy who can do crazy dunks and get up off the ground but I was saying that from what coach Donny said it makes sense why he felt more comfortable taking quick turns and changing direction as Harden relies more on that.

I also switched to Basketball shoes (Nike - Performance - some kind of black&red lebron-colorway, which i can't find anymore on the internet) just because I was frustrated with my Ascis loosing grip after playing them like half a year (3-4 times per week)...
these nike performance have really nice grip and still feel nice jumping... you can put way more force into the ground when you're confident in your grip :-)
Anyhow, when reviewing new shoes... could you compare these to your other pairs or even make a whole comparison-video?

Coach can i ask why we need the heel to toe while doing our approach? Whenever i try to that i lose all of my power and it basically turns into a standing jump
