Great video as usual! Thank you I have just installed a new top end on my 2019 xcw300 tpi and I’m wondering how important it is to get the Z dimension adjustment plate on the left side of the power valve exactly right? What will it affect if it’s off?
@@slaverace1 sorry about that. I’m talking about the plate with the two bolts that limits the range of motion for the power valve. How important is it to get that z dimension to get exactly right and is there an issue if I’m off?
How do you adjust a power valve on a 2020 250SX when a 300 kit is installed? The new power valve does not have a stop arm. Please show a video on how to adjust the 2020 valve without the stop arm. Thank you.
Hey Jeff, quick question. What would the symptoms of an incorrect Z dimension be? When I did mine on my 20TX 300, the flap did meet the max Z distance. It was short by about 2mm. As in the caliper was longer by a bit past the PV . Can you measure with piston at BDC with the cylinder still on if you have the Nihilo deck tool?
Hello: If the PV flap is higher than the spec, that will cause a reduction in low-end torque. I have not tried using the Nihilo tool while the cylinder is installed but it will probably work.
@@slaverace1 it seems to ride well. Good torque all around but the 1/4 throttle sputter is pretty annoying. I'm remapping now. Before I switched to an FMF exhaust and it helped smooth everything out.

@@tammo02 Yes but it required a remap and new head from TSP. Made a huge difference.
Is it possible that control flap touch piston or piston ring in MY2011?
I have seen a slight interference before but that is not common or likely.
