the real reason why we got conquered so easily is because of our foolish ideals of letting our enemies go away after defeating them. same happen with pruthviraj chauhan. any thing which is done to its extrams is always harmful. Buddhism which was prevaling at that time in india was inclined extremly towards 'ahinsa' which demolished our strngth of fighting with evil forces came from outside.

Babur first defeated another Muslim Lodhi. Humayun fought and lost the war to Sher Shah Suri, another Muslim. Aurangazeb attacked Deccan and demolished another Muslim. Allahuddin defeated many Muslim kings. This has nothing to do with religion, but power play. Accept it and move forward. Who was the guard that protected Shivaji from Afzal Khan? Shah Rukh Khan. Who was general of Aurangazeb? Jai Singh. Who demolished mandirs as revenge against other Rajas? Hindus. Instead of talking about Roti Kapda aur Makan and dignity, we are foolishly dragged into these filthy talk to hide the poor performance of BJP.

For respect. We didn't respect them because they had guns. We respected them because they used the gun if you insulted a British. For them one British life was equal to two hundred, thousand indian lives. Thats value. How many Indians will kill for the hounour of a fellow indian? Not one

India was conquered due to the failure of the Kshatriyas the Kshatriyas became philosophical and started to become docile,
The Kshatriyas forgot the teachings of Shri Krishna,
At the time of Invasion of Somnath temple in present day Gujarat, Indians were already very civilized, cultured, ethical & principled, ( the Indians never killed an enemy soldier who was running away by stabbing him in the back)
But the invaders were barbaric, evil people who did not care for ethics, and then Evil triunphed over good
Now, evil exists in Bharat, but it always reminds the good that 'Don't be too good, you will be destroyed if you become too good & naive'
None of the Hindu God's saved us because they wanted to teach us a lesson
WE ARE STILL LEARNING THAT FOR A THOUSAND YEARS

It took muslims 500 yrs to reach Delhi after first attack on Sind in 712 AD.
They only reached South in 1600 after defeat of Vijaynagar empire by combined jihad based efforts of 5 Bahmani Sultanates of central India.
Guess how manu yrs it took them to conquer and convert entire persia or other North Africans and Turkish regions.
The Rajputana finished off Delhi Sultanate and Sikhs and Marathas finished off Mughals.
When British, in the yr 1757, fought their first battle through cowardice and treachery against Sirajdaullah in Bengal then the Mughal king was under Marathas protection and pension. And entire North western area was dominated by Sikhs.

Excellent Video !!! Very Informative.. there is NO doubt that the brutal & fanatic Islamic Mughal rule in India faced stiff resistance at different periods from the great RAJPUT warriors, fierce AHOMS warriors from Assam & from Punjab the brave SIKHS warriors...
Rightly did the great Hindi Poet Bhushana, who forsook the royal favours of the Mughal court to come over to Shivaji to record his glories, he sang :-“काशी की कला जाती, मथुरा की मसजीद बनती, अगर शिवाजी ना होते तो सबकी सुन्नत होती.”
meaning : (Had not there been Shivaji, Kashi would have lost its culture,Mathura would have been turned into a mosque and all would have been circumcised.)
If not for Shivaji and the Marathas, there would have existed a continuous Islamic belt from Morocco to Indonesia. What addition of 1 billion more adherents to Islam would have done to the world power balance or what would have happened to Indian legacy like yoga, ayurveda, music, art and philosophy, is not difficult to guess….
It is worthwhile examining the 'what if' of Indias history, Aurengzeb, Akbars great great grandson, had embarked on the 'Islamisation' of India. The Marathas, inspired by Shivaji, fought Aurengzeb and saved India from following the fate of Persia. The proof of Maratha victory lies in the fact that Aurengzeb lies buried, not in Lahore /Delhi or Agra , but near Aurangabad in good old Maharashtra...
Indian history before Shivaji's advent reads like a chronicle of military disasters. Shivaji changed all that. He used Guerilla Tactics very effectively. Shivaji, as a great warrior & visionary laid a strong and solid foundation that after his death in 1680, there was a series of battles fought between Marathas and Mughals from 1681 to 1707 known as 'War of 27 years' and ended with the death of Aurangzeb in 1707. The Marathas eventually emerged victorious and consolidated their lost territories. This was further expanded by the Peshwas. The Maratha empire reached its peak in summer of 1758 with the conquest of Attock, which is banks of Indus river in Pakistan today. Its eastern frontier was today’s Orissa, being ruled by Raghuji Bhosale of Nagpur. Maratha armies had also reached upto Murshidabad, but then retreated and settled for tribute from Bengal and control of Orissa. To the south, in 1758, territories upto the fort of Gurramkonda in Kadappah district were held. Also, Tanjore (Thanjavur) was under Marathas, but that was a different line. In 1761, the PANIPAT war was lost to the Afghans but Marathas RECOVERED quickly like phoenix bird within 10 years and brought the whole of North Indian again under their control during the 1770's under leadership of Madhavrao Peshwa..
Eventually, the Marathas grew stronger and fought the British in three Anglo-Maratha Wars (1775-82, 1803-05, 1817-18), In the First Anglo-Maratha War (1775-1782) The Marathas emerged Victorious. A Vijay Stambh (Victory Pillar) erected to commemorate Maratha victory over British is located at Vadgaon/Wadgaon Maval, close to the city of Pune. The 2nd and 3rd were subsequently lost and British established themselves.
(By the way, just for your G.K, Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also considered as the 'Father of the Indian Navy'.)

Indians here are friends with Pakistanis. I work with every race of mankind from every nationality and everyone gets along. No one cares what someone else does, we are all looking for a better life. In India, we are divided by caste, wealth, social status, religion, communal ties, regionalism, language. For example, the Shiv Sena movement was to rid South Indians from Bombay. In the words of comedian Russell Peters, Indians love everyone but another Indian.

Better if people start at home respecting each other. Strong families make strong societies. Helping each other as a society too.

Reference to the British - India wars (Figured it would be interesting for someone) :
Our Mexican American war (1846) was probably as good and as bad as previous wars, and we have said all that can be said when we call it “war”; the French wars against the Algerians, the English against the Sikhs**, the Russians against the Circassians, and if we speak of national and territorial dismemberment, Poland now stand not alone. It was a candid example of a stronger nation using the will of force to extort territory from another. And if the period ever arrives to where the largest republic (Democracy) on earth, Mexico, and the most hopeful and consistent one besides our own is blotted out of the record of nations and becomes the “Poland of the West” we shall stand condemned in the eyes of heaven and our own as authors of such tremendous a catastrophe.

The real question is how does one remain peace-loving, nonviolent, compasionate, honorable, moral, and principled, AND at the same time possess the power and courage to carry out the necessary *righteous* violence to defend oneself (as well as good, innocent people) from evil, demonic forces that try to harm/conquer one, not being held back by misplaced guilt and empathy for one's foes?
Adharma has the upperhand in war because it views everyone and everything as a subhuman/object to be conquered, there is nothing holding it back from committing the most atrocious, degenerate crimes to achieve its own end, while Dharma, despite flourishing in peaceful times, is easily overpowered in war, for their followers are nowhere near as cunning, ruthless, and aggressive. They fight with honor, dignity, and recognize the goodness (God) even in their worst enemies.
I personally believe this is the reason why the battle between Dharma and adharma, and the cycle of the four yugas never cease. It is designed to carry on for eternity (even when Dharma ultimately wins every single time). The conflicts between the devas and the asuras in Vedic texts perfectly represent this concept/phenomenon.

Atul Kotwal. Fully Agree. Indians were ruled by rulers many of whom practised Islam as a religion. But, India didn't become an Islamic republic. The laws were secular i.e. Hindus were not required to follow any Islamic law. Secondly, the Muslim rulers mostly considered themselves Indians. They all chose to be buried in India as they took and made India their final home. They married Indians too. They called themselves Indians. Whereas the British, who left India for good, never considered India their ultimate home.
So, the correct thing to say would be "India was ruled by Indians of foreign origin for 1000 years". Very much like the Aryans who came long after the Dravidians, but eventually got intermingled with the rest and lived happily ever after as Indians.

There is a reason India is one of the most corrupted country in the world. So even if some billionaires give up there all money, India will continue to become a 3rd world shithole. Why do you think they were unable to hold on to the golden peacock throne and kohinoor diamond? Why do you think they lost all their resources? Why do you think they couldn't protect their wealth? I agree with you completely.
Mahavir and Bhudha demoralized the kshatriyas by proclaiming 'ahimsa parmo dharm' forgetting the lesson of the krishna-arjun gita. They also promoted sanyaas for the youth, dissuading them from their duties. That's why the spread of Buddhism left India weak infront of the invaders. That's why Buddhism vanished from India, as it had failed in practice. Then the rise of the bhakti movement further damaged us, as it encouraged total dependence on God to destroy the evil as well as the evil doer. False belief systems, such as "despise evil but not the evil doer," "don't tell unpleasant truth", "leave retribution to God," etc., further prevented us from becoming instruments of God. Having finished of the kshatriyas, the brahmins became unprotected and got converted or killed. The Baamiyaan statue of Bhudha in Afghanistan, when it was vandalized by the talibaan, it was then that I came to know that Buddhism had spread to Afghanistan, and because of their non-violence they were slaughtered there.

Dear sir, I've recently come across your work and am completely mesmerized by your talk at Westminster. Even though replying to a video after 7yrs doesn't make sense coz time has changed and things haven't been the same for all these years. I just wanted to tell you that your answer to this question seems kind of misleading and inaccurate and false on some levels. I don't know if I'm mature enough to write something against you, in fact, I was merely 15yrs old when this video got published but I found a few flaws and decided to convey you. I agree that Indians had lost their way in understanding their culture and misinterpreted some practices but these are all part of evolution. Today in India, caste discrimination has decreased rapidly and sooner or later, it will disappear. The reason behind it is not a Britisher but "EDUCATION". It was a privilege to have education those days, which has changed in recent years and will continue to improve in the future. Not all people were harsh even in those days, I have seen people being cruel towards adults at times but I havent seen people being that harsh towards a child in my entire life tbh. There were always Good and Bad, even in the Britishers, they were far more worse during the colonialism and don't you think theyve evolved as better humans over the years. Ultimately, this video felt as if you were defaming India on the global stage. I just hope your opinion has changed after all these years.

      @HinduAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว

Jay Lakhani sir has been harsh with own people and India in some of the videos, if we do not look at our own weaknesses and dont work on them we can not progress forward, all is meant by him is Hindus have not treated own Hindu brothers and sisters well in past, and that led to a weaker nation, we take note of the recent progress but much work is still need to be done. Hopefully we can learn from this and move to be much stronger nation and civilisation, it is a work in progress.

i have other opinion. it is connected to Biology as well as culture. North and South. People from North are more robust than South. A Sikh from North of India Punjab are more physically strong that a man from Andhra or Tamil Nadu. If I apply this logic, then people of Central are more physcially strong than India. Second reason is relgion. Sure Fear of Karams prevented us to shed blood of others. When Afghanistan was Buddhist how many invasions victimized India? Answer should be no. But moment Islam came to Central Asia. then all invasions stated. Because Islam advocates subduing non believers.

India doesn't have big empire to protect its borders, gazini was helped by jayapala ,prithviraj uncle, next year he was annexed, many raj puts kings helped moguls to raze war against their opponent kings who are Hindus.religious feeling unity was not there as much Muslims does have.same Indians could make Alexander army to hesitate when nandas empire was there and mouryas could conquer upto Afghanistan. Southern marathas could conquer many muslim kings.so in a war motivation is more important than others.

Muslim kings were not Islamic. They were for power grabbing.

Hindustan ne kisi desh par attack ni Kia Isliye kyuki Hindustan phle se itna smrid tha ki use Kabi jarrorat hi ni pari, Hindu king chate to unn area ko bi conqure kar sakta the lekin central Asia bas banjar Jameen thi, Hindu kings ke liye duniya bas Hindustan tak simit thi aur appas me larte the. Whi European aur Arabian ke liye larna jaroori tha Jene ke liye, upjao jameen ki khoj ke liye. Kathor mausam ne aur kai war ne inhe Bhut anuvhavi kar rakha tha.
Lekin Hindustan me bhudism ka prachar joro par tha kisi Tarah Kuch Hindu rajao ne bhudism ko khatm Kia aaj ke bharatme, jha bhudism re gya wo aasani se inke sikar ho gye.
Whi Hindustan kamjoor par chuka tha Andhar ke aapsi matbedh me lekin Tabbi Islam convert ni kar saka Hindustan ko na hi unite kar saka. Aur Thailand Jaise desh Isliye bache rahe kyuki Muslim ruler Hindostan hi pura Par ni kar sake, Unki takat kam Par gyi Hindu ke samne.
Angrej aaye luta bi lekin unhone kabhi bi dharam ni chera kyuki unhe Pta tha Hindustan ki Sanskriti ni badli jaa sakti to unhone bigaar di.
Kai sare bare dynasty Arab ke the jo Gajni se Phle, Kabi bi india me enter ni kar sake, lekin bhudism ka aagman Jaise unke liya nyuta tha.

I am not a Hindu, but visited India. The speaker is right. Hindus need self reflection. The reason that white people are prosperous is because of Karma. In general, white western countries are generous. When disasters happen around the world, they are the ones who help. You must have compassion and feeling for your fellow citizens and others who need help.

I’m Christian and am very touched by this man’s compassion and wisdom. He is Hindu, but It is the same wisdom that The Christ brought to the world. All the great and true religions have this at their core.

There is nothing great and true about Christianity. It stands on the dead bodies of Native Americans, Native Aboriginal people who were forced to convert.
