- The first official presidential debate in 24 years gets under way in Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City. The urban centers of Mindanao are visibly booming, but the old problems of poverty, peace and order concerns, and power shortages continue to haunt the countryside. The debate is the first of three scheduled by the Commission on Elections and co-organized by GMA Network and the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
All five presidential candidates are taking part. Vice President Jejomar Binay enjoyed a head start on his rivals by arriving in the city on Saturday and immediately pressing the flesh. Former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Senators Miriam Defensor-Santiago and Grace Poe are expected to arrive Sunday morning.

i voted for President Duterte way back in 2016 and today March 11, 2022, I am so proud that I did. Lahat ng mga pinangako niya natupad. We have universal health care, malasakit centers, BUILD BUILD BUILD, free tertiary education in state universities at marami pang iba. His administration is far from perfect but I still grade him EXCELLENT kasi kumpara sa mga past presidents before him, ang dami niyang nagawa partida na nagka pandemic pa. Now the PH's FIRST subway is 30% in completion.. very very proud of my vote . And this coming May 09, 2022 my vote will go to BBM and Inday Sara because for sure they will be the one to continue what PRRD has started.
