100% German was a massive asset. Who knows how many vehicles he sold for Craig by just being able to speak Spanish. Craig went over that a few videos ago how German would handle any calls with Spanish speaking customers.
Right now why German left is all hush-hush. Why is that? Oh that’s so that Craig can make another video and get more views and make more money from youtube. Because the only way Craig does anything is if he makes money. Screw everyone else, because that’s how Craig rolls.
When applying clear spray between 28-35 psi , make sure you compressor can hold enough air for a hvlp gun or else pressure drops during spraying and you could have more orange peel, also spray with a wider pattern turn nozzle almost all the way open but it could’ve used another coat for sure this way wet sanding would be easier and you won’t break through paint, another thing about fish eyes make sure you drain your compressor of water and a filtered System in place 15 ft from compressor to catch oil or water from reaching your gun and add a disposable water and oil filter on the gun , also with metallic colors after you coats in between you need to do a drop coat quickly over the panels to prevents stripes in base coat just a few tips I’ve painted myself and work in some body shops but love the videos 👍🏼
A lot of good tips here. Almost like another language lol. You should ask Craig if you can come and set him up with this type of setup. Its easy as heck to read something and comprehend it, its another thing to be able to do it ya know. Not saying u cant, im just saying he might not be able to fully understand the significance of such minor changes that would make his finished work look so much better. He always painting, its probably be wise for him to stick a little permanent paint booth on the back of his shop. If I had a local dealership. Id be going to the local tech schools and giving highschoolers a chance to make some doe and a place to hone their skills. I wouldn't probably get mechanics, but def body shop guys for sure. You will always have a high attrition rate though. Itd still prove cost effective. As he will be able to get into more cosmetic damage stuff that flips better.

I liked those videos done with him like the ones where they would both go to the auction and try to see who gets the best deal. I’m sure he was a great value to the company, from having an amazing talent with paint correcting to being able to sell cars to people who only speak Spanish, he was an amazing guy. But he wasn’t your slave either so it’s hard but I guess you just have to let him go, I hope he continues to rock with whatever he’s now doing.

Craig I know you got your system for doing wheels but for anyone else seeing this, I use metal spray out cards that you can get in a pack of 50. They last forever and block a ton of over spray. Highly recommend for anyone looking to do wheel refinishing with the tires on

Paint process is called wet on wet here. Love your channel Craig, but there are professional painters channels on TH-cam which would be a much better source of painting info. As for marketplace, lots of idiots want to lowball so they can flip for quick bucks. I do not know how many fall for this, but it must work sometimes or they would not persist. I do not even respond to the idiots as they are a waste of your life, I delete those immediately. Some morons simply ask what is your lowest price, now my first inclination is to ask if they can read, but they go into the delete bucket too. Marketplace can be frustrating, but it does eventually work. Sorry to hear about German, he was a good part of the team with his skillset. However I would never consider a full repaint in those workshop conditions, far too dirty. What filtration system do you have on your compressor air? Poor filtration can sometimes cause fisheye too.

Rushing and quick fixes are why used cars look good for the first month Then start to look worse every day after. When buying a used car try to find one with original paint if you see overspray anywhere I’d look elsewhere unless you don’t care and are not that picky

Seen one of those sell in New Brunswick Canada for $17,000 and it was an automatic at a local used car dealer it was a 2003 350Z!!
