Love this series and for me it is timeless. As I evolve I keep coming back to the earlier ones. I finally can make 10 m in around 7.5 steps. That 10 m start was the hardest for me, the top end mechanics was easier. I now needed to figure out how to rise in 10-20 and when to go erect. Last 2 weeks I figured out on my own that 30m was a good target-And lo and behold the algorithm re-sent me these vids and I got confirmation. What I needed was the step count and as you said 15 steps was a good target!. And as you said, I have noted that opening hip angle at 30 and erect at 40m makes the horizon a tall order for the top gear. I now cap runs at 80m (I am 49 and do this for fitness/longevity not competition=) , and rising up at 40 and staring down to 80 is rather daunting lol. In past I would keep my head down to 40 then start going into top gear-so I just had the 60-80 split in top gear-which was easier and safe on my hamstring.. In my past evolution I was learning floats/in and outs. I think this evolution I will follow your series and rise at 30, erect by 40 and float 40-60, then re engage my brain at 60-80 and focus on shorter/more powerful ground contact, nose breathing. I possess neither genetics nor youth, so I need a bit of tactics to short shift to 5th gear at 40m. I look fwd to your final installment! Thank you again, your videos have helped me sprint journey immensely-which has kept me healthy and powerful

Usain Bolt had the smallest minor angle of all. So the recovery leg came back faster (thanks to the higher angular velocity given by the reduction of angular momentum). So theoretically it is better to get the heel as close to the glutes as possible.

That doesn't make it better. What matters most is whether the bottom of the shoes are facing the sky or more towards the starting blocks. If they are facing the sky and heel is close to glutes then it will have a slower recovery time than if the sole is facing the start. Theoretically it's best to have the feet move in a cyclical motion so the angle of the butt kick, if you're gonna butt kick at all, is what's important.

Thank you for these series SSM.
What do you think about the current generation of power sprinters?
Are the long sprinters (200m abilities) better for the 100m? I'm thinking specially about the 60m-100m part of the sprint? Elite athletes able to maintain a high speed...
In 2024, we still have few men able to finish a 100m under 9.80s. Even with an excellent technique (and a good gifted genetic), finish under 9.70s seems to be complicated...

So you shouldn’t be running all out from 60-100?
    Or you shouldn’t be straining?
Is the point to find the place where your all out effort but not tensing

Please don't focus on running technique/Form.
It's doesn't not work. Form/technique is the result of proper force application.
    chasing running Form is counterproductive!
