You have converted me into using natural products for cleaning (except for toilet bowl cleaner) but everything else is stuff I have picked out from your videos. I recently got a bad case of cough and realized using store bought cleaning products really aggravated it. So ever since I started cleaning with natural stuff; I no longer kill myself trying to clean. I seriously want to thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. 😊
It's important to think about the kinds of disposable gloves you use while cleaning. For instance, one of the most commonly-used gloves are latex-based disposable gloves, which are usually used in food prep jobs. The best gloves to use for cleaning, in my opinion, are nitrile gloves. The main difference between these two gloves, is that the food-prep (typically latex-based) gloves only protect what you touch from the possible germs on your hands, not the other way around. Nitrile gloves are key when handling harsh chemicals, and/or bodily fluids such as blood because they protect your hands from harmful substances or contagions. Working in hotels has taught me the importance of knowing the difference between these kinds of disposable gloves.
It looks like she was wearing vinyl gloves in the video. A favorite of mine because they are much less sticky when trying to put on wet freshly washed, hands.
Beware, some people are allergic to latex. It has increased with repeated exposure during healthcare and cleaning. While not too many people are allergic, many times the allergic reactions are severe requiring medical attention.

LOL I thought she just left it there for a minute while she went to get something.🤣🤣🤣 But now that you mentioned it, it is an excellent way to dry a toilet brush.👍

Harley hi she is not silly she wants to plug her stuff money money shrewd business women . She did not even know what a all purpose cleaner was when she started
I love my steamer. It's a mop, and a hand held and it cleans without chemicals. Loosens up dirt, grease and grime. Cleans just about anything. I still use my home made stuff, and a swiffer for quick cleaning.
@@GoogleAccount-oe9im I have an old shark handheld and a shark mop. I also have a Haan sweeper mop and a Haan do everything steamer that is built like an old canister vacuum. All of mine are older models that I have had for years. the shark handheld is huge, one of the first made. It has a canister with a shoulder strap and a hose that comes off it where the attachments fit. It comes with a mop. The big Haan has the handheld attachments as well as a mop head. I can do walls, ceilings, and carpet with that big boy! I use each for different tasks. The big boys are more for full house cleaning, spring cleaning, big tasks. the shark mop is more like my weekly mop when things are the normal dirty or if I need fast cleaning. I don't use the shark handheld for mopping. The Haan might be a huge beast but I've used that monster to rid the house of fleas before, it gets much hotter and makes better steam. the shark is more for every day. the Haan is build better and heavier duty.
I'm a cleaning lady. Some of my favorite cleaners are: melaleuca's tub and tile cleaner. Best ever! Sprayway window cleaner. Caldera's all purpose cleaner.
I use Norwex everything!! I love their products. They have been a lifesaver so many times. There was one time when my house was a complete disaster, and then my grandma wanted to come over. I had no idea how I was going to clean the house in time, but I had some samples from Norwex. I thought I could try them. They are amazing! They made my house look amazing! My favorite one of their products is their window cloth. Instead of having to use a cleaner to clean windows, you just get the cloth wet, wipe down the window and put the cloth in the washer! I love it so much!!
this video is so helpful!! my favorite cleaning product now is the Roomba vacuum robot. It vacuums the whole house automatically according to my schedule. It makes my lift so much easier!! Everyone should have one. I thinks it is a good investment too.
I have both. The Bissel is great for pickup jobs (cat/dog food, kitty litter, cereal) not so much for dust. for that, the Dyson is fantastic. I have an 8 with the washable HEPA filter and works like a charm. But the Bissel can't be beaten to pick up medium sized things.
I never thought I needed a cordless hand vac but once I did it chsnged my life. I gifted my sister one when she graduated college and it changed her life too! I think my favorite thing is plain old dish soap. You can use it on almost every surface.
One of my favorite products is the Black and Decker 20v leaf blower. It's gentle and quiet. I use it to sweep floors, get under couches etc. It does amazing easy work and doesn't blow everything everywhere.
Perrier bottles. I enjoy the product, rinse out the bottle, fill it with my cleaner with essential oils & pop on a spray top. Works great! I get disposable gloves at Sam's Club. Couldn't live without 'em!
Expensive but i love my Roomba. I'm in a wheelchair so I give it instructions from an app on my smartphone. I actually run it 2x a day. With 4 dogs, my floors can get dirty quickly. Plus its fun to watch chihuahuas attacking it or running from it.
I have serious hip problems so standing up for cleaning is an issue. I had my first Roomba in 2015, and now I have 2 so I don't have to clean them so often. Also have a frenchie and three cats, and the floors are mostly clean running them alternate the whole week. They're a serious investment but the return is wonderful!
I have been trying to give you some of the neat things I do when I am cleaning. I do not use sponges where I live because they don't dry well or stay clean. I use microfiber clothes that I buy in the automotive section. I use white for glass and Windows, blues for stoves, counters, and red for toilets. I use grey and a real plush yellow to and other shades for other products. I also have a bottle brush that I put soap on to wash dishes and only rinse the soap out when it is dirty. I have a pattern for cleaning toilets and for folding my cloth too so the used side always stays to the inside when I put it in my pocket between toilets. 1st fold the microfiber cloth in 1/2 the fold it in 1/2 the other way so you have 1/4 showing, when you fold it to put it away fold it so it 1/8 X 1/4 to close it. As for the toilet, lightly mist the top, tank, both sides of both parts of the seats and then the rim of the toilet. Next go back to the top with your red cloth and wipe the top until it is dry and shinny then move on to the tank and make sure it is dry and shinny before you move onto to the next part of the seat and then on the the rim. Now my cloth is damp enough to wipe all of the base of the toilet starting on one side at the very back and coming to the front and then pass the cloth off to the other hand to keep going all the way to the back. If you need to rest your hand on the rim so you can move safety and smoothly don't forget to rewipe the area where you put your hand so it it print free. I prefer Lysol spray( crisp linen aerosol ) with a very lite mist to wipe dry for a clean shine but I also buy the concentrate and buy a bottle that gives me a very fine mist. If I have a Nasty toilet I pre-clean with a wipey and throw it away to keep my cloth as clean as possible and then I clean it as normal. If a toilet hasn't been used when you clean the next week just mist and wipe it down so it stays nice and clean. Please flush after you us the brush inside the bowl and rewipe the rim if spotted so it is spotlessly clean. Same for stoves but use the thick yellow microfiber cloth to buff it out for a final shine ( Costco, thick yellow). Grey for dishes at home or for cleaning stainless ( buff with yellow). I also use a weird shade of blue for a special sealer and buff with my yellow that I tuck into my belt so it is alway handy.
My very favorite cleaning tool is a cellulose SPONGE CLOTH. It's a spongy cloth. It's reusable and machine washable. I first discovered them in Germany years ago. It took me many years to find them in the US. They're amazing for cleaning.
Nylon net scrubbies. Clean without scratching. I don't see them for sale anymore but you can make your own. You can buy the material or you can use the small nylon net bags on onions (or other products), just make sure to cut off the metal edge. Use less steel wool & easier on your hands.
Hi Melissa. I just wanted to say that I love your video. I used your system for folding clothes. I know what I have now and I definitely do not need any clothes. I also now set a timer and clean till the timer goes off. My house now is staying clean. Thank you. Bonnie
The swiffer duster is a must have with my business because I get up the heaviest dust before I start wiping down surfaces. It prevents those traces of dust being left behind from your rags :)
I'm half Swedish and have a mom who lives over there and have lived in Stockholm myself. Since IKEA is a Swedish company; I think you should name the cleaning, spray bottle Anna. It's a very common name over there and has been for centuries. More importantly, Anna means grace. Just saying. You're awesome and I adore your channel. I've always been a neat freak and love to clesn. Lately, I've been looking for totally natural ,non- toxic cleaning supplies. Thanks for teaching me and many so much about how to do this with exceptionalism. I've thrown out everything but my laundry detergent and bleach for getting my husband's socks bright white. I don't ever touch any of the aforementioned with my hands Thank you for your greatly informative videos! You're the best. God bless!
Sorry Melissa, you are not going to be thrilled with this one lol. Thanks to you I bought a cordless Dyson vacuum about two years ago and I went from dreading vacuuming to enjoying it. I use it every day on my floors. I love it so much better than a broom and if I didn't have this vac, I would only be vacuuming once a week with my large corded one. With mostly bare floors and two cats, vacuuming is a daily must.
We bought a new cordless stain and it’s amazing. It’s changed the way we vacuum. I used to procrastinate but now it’s so crazy easy. While the tank is small it’s super easy to dump without having to touch anything.
My Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro is my favorite. It vacuums and “mops” hard floors (with constant clean water and a rotating brush similar to my carpet cleaner) at the SAME TIME!!!!! No more sweeping then mopping. I do it all at once. It takes care of pet accidents too this is by far the best piece of equipment I’ve ever owned!
My steam cleaner....there are all kinds; I have the Bissell power fresh which does an awesome job for small areas. I use it in conjunction with cleaners [you can't put anything other than water it in though]. Love your channels!!
I just found your channel and love the tips. I have to say I researched vacuums for 2 years b4 I bought a new one because they are not something I want to purchase every year. I love my vac!! I chose the Shark battery operated upright that comes with a 2nd rechargeable battery and is detachable to a handheld. It came with 4 additional tools, runs for 20+ minutes on high power and cleans amazingly. Another plus is no more expensive bags to buy ever! The dust receptacle pops open and you place it over your trash. Done. I also found a coupon for Kohl's for it and got an additional amount off for opening a charge account, making it very affordable. Win-Win for everyone!
Where have you decided to clean those nasty filters, or did you simply decide to buy new ones and throw them out? Where did you find extra filters, if you did?
Since coming across your channel, I thought I knew how to clean, but your channel has educated me on how to clean. I always appreciate your videos & knowledge Greetings from Port Elizabeth, South Africa
2 tablespoons of white vinegar, 2 teaspoons of borax powder, 2 cups of warm water, 6 to 8 drops of tea tree oil - pour into a spray bottle, give a good shake to dissolve the borax and you are good to go - I sometimes add lavender oil as well.
Mimi Ramone, I use half white vinegar, half peroxide for most cleaning followed by a plain water rinse. I may add a little blue Dawn if necessary. I will use dilute bleach on countertops, toilets or to spot clean somewhere if need be. There are fumes, and I don't have my birds or cats in the same room while I'm cleaning and I turn on the central fan or open windows to ventilate when possible.
Coconut oil for everything! We recently installed new floors which got stained by something oil/grease based and would not budge with soap. But I slapped some coconut oil on it and it came out immediately! In addition, I love coconut oil for removing sticker residue. Also, I noticed that you touched the toilet with your disposable gloves and then touched the spray bottle D: !! Doesn't that defeat the purpose of using gloves? I wouldn't recommend plastic spray bottles for essential oils because the oil tends to seep into the plastic making it stain/smell like that EO. Plus, EO's tend to degrade plastic and many oils tend to deteriorate when exposed to sunlight.
I have two products that while I don't use them frequently I wont be without. The first is Mr. Clean Magic Erasers. They're amazing they're tough enough to remove scuff marks and the yellowish brownish grime made of grease/oil, tobacco smoke & dust that had been on my great grandmother's cookie jar (my remembers it sitting on the kitchen counter when they'd visit her grandparents & my mom's 64) for decades but gentle enough that to not ruin the finish on that same cookie jar. My other one is OxiClean. After almost 20 years of use the bottom of my kitchen is scratched and ends up looking less than wonderful even with regular cleaning. To get it looking wonderful again I fill the sink with really hot water and a generous amount of OxiClean. I then let the sink soak for several hours at least (I usually try to do this before going to bed so it can soak overnight) before putting on dish gloves and giving it a good scrub. After draining the sink I rinse thoroughly with hot water and end up with a bright sparkling sink. My sink is white so I don't if this would work well on a colored sink or stainless steel sink.
ever since I started watching Alll of your videos, I converted to totally cleaning with vinegar and baking soda and for a deeper cleaning I whip out alcohol . thank you !!! I have your cleaning cloths on my wish list.
Thanks for the great tips. 👍👍 I use Dr. Bronner castile soap (peppermint). I used to shower and wash my hair with it for allergy reasons, but it turned my hair to oily, which I don't like. So I'm still using it as a body wash. But I like your idea about using it for cleaning 🤔 Also, essential oils, I use orange and lemon. I add them to the vinegar as a laundry softener 😁 And peppermint essential oil with a bit of water in a stainless steel sprayer bottle to keep my house safe from spiders.. 😁
Before I bought my first Roomba I loved the Bissel sweeper. I had 3 or 4 (lost, misplaced, stolen) and although it doesn't clean as well as a vacuum it was always at hand. It was replaced by the vacuum but not completely, specially for quick pickups (kitty litter material, cereal, yerba mate, dog food). For dust I use a Dyson like yours, but the Bissel is always ready and doesn't require batteries.
I like using the combination of Castile soap, borax, super washing soda, essential oils and distilled water to clean with. Cleans the microwave effortlessly!
Hands down my favorite cleaning product is my Bona floor cleaning system. Really just a mop with a tank and great cleaning pads. Hardwood is a big investment, so I try to take care of it. The Bona liquid cleans and brings back the shine without hard scrubbing.
My favorite cleaning tool is my Bissell small vacuum that I bought at Walmart for 20.00. it's light weight and is good for rugs and floors. It cleans great.
. . . thanks for your great tips . . .regarding your stove filter - wondering if you've ever considered just washing them with your dishes in the dishwasher . . . super hot de-greasing water & soap, plus, saving your enzyme products for other cleaning tasks that don't accommodate this . . . God Bless . . .
Swiffer products! Love the extendable duster the most, but also like the dry/wet mop. They are a life saver on bathroom floors. I use a broom first then Swiffer to get any dust and hair the broom left behind. I also like that since you throw them away you don't transfer any dirt/hair/germs to other clients homes.
Pro tip I learned a long time ago: When shopping for a new vacuum cleaner (including affordable cordless models!), go to places like Best Buy that have floor models and see which ones are dinged up and have dust in the nooks and crannies, etc. At close, the employees use the floor models to clean their section, and the ones that look the most used are the favorites. I thought that was neat and just wanted to share. For the record, my Shark Rocket stick vac still thrills me now 3 years in. Chronic pain, mobility issues, multiple pets, living in a tiny space (230 sq/ft) on a muddy farm and I have zero complaints. I loved it in my previous 4 bedroom home, too. The kids thought it was fun to use, too, which made life a lot easier. I hope this helps someone!
We recently bought a Dyson stick vacuum and I find myself cleaning my floors more often! Before I felt like it was a hassle to use a large vacuum/broom/dustpan and a waste of time cause it's just pushing debris in the air and all around! So gross! So now that I have this vacuum, myself, husband and the kids grab it and so effortlessly clean up messes etc. Also I am really interested in that fabric sponge you mentioned in the video, I wanna try that out!
I’ve been watching your videos and I keep thinking when I hear certain words.....”she’s Jewish isn’t she?” THEN you said “Schlep”.....and I said “Yep”! Love it!!! Thanks for ALL of your videos! So So helpful!
If you have 2 minutes to touch up the bathroom a disinfecting wipe (like Lysol) is so convenient and germ killing. Start high; faucet handles, door knob, light switch, then around sink and finally my vinyl floor gets a touch up, for spots.
Hi Melissa ! I have a request, something most guitarists I think remain very confused about. How to clean a guitar? Fretboard and body? Since you seem to understand different sorts of cleaners and their effects, maybe you can figure out the best way? Something that cleans the wood and also takes care of it. I imagine maybe some kind of gentle cleaner, and then a treatment oil?
Any natural oil used for wood like linseed or mineral oil would work fine. If I'm replacing strings, I'll take 2-3 strings off one side (to keep neck tension), and wipe down the fretboard with a microfiber cloth. If it's really grimy you can put a few drops of water on the cloth to help clean. I'll then rub just a little bit of mineral oil down the board with a clean cloth, which both cleans and protects the board. Don't mess with oil around any pickups. If there are harder to reach areas, use a baby's toothbrush (extra soft) to get into those areas and brush out anything. Repeat on the other side. If there are cracks in the board, music stores usually sell some sort of restoration cream. While strings are off, you can also use the toothbrush and wet cloth to clean the bridge area. For polished areas like head or body, just wiping it down with a dry microfiber after each use would be enough to keep it in shape.
I like 3M Sponges with no scratch pad. Also found long, narrow Bottle-Brushes at hardware store. They were designed to clean a tea pot spout (maybe if you use loose leaf tea??) - but they are REALLY useful for cleaning the gunk out of bathroom sink drains! Euwwh! Green slime buildup from soap scum and toothpaste! And then follow with baking soda & vinegar, final rinse with hot water 💓
God I’m like, 10 videos in, and I’m 🤯 mind blown! I am learning so much! I’ve been doing things all wrong 😂 Thank you for this! Got some supplies to pick up for sure! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I have a bissel feather weight for vacuuming, the Swiffer Bissell w/steam mostly on floors. Been using peroxide & Dawn soap mixed up And spray bottle for countertops but you taught me that the peroxide isn’t effective in the clear-ish spray bottle I’ve been using from dollar tree. I need to try a new spray bottle. I’m trying to be more organic b/c I have a kitty & fumes egg on migraines...I’ve been liking white vinegar with the Dawn soap to clarify windows remove soap scum from the shower. I like your suggestions for Sponges and want to try them out as I have just been using hand towels and paper towels and the hand towels generate a ton of laundry for me. Thanks for your tips I love your channel!
Melissa, the tool that you brought me to knowing more about is microfiber. Though I haven't bought your clothes, which I'm seriously thinking of doing sometime in the near future, as you spoke about the type of microfiber and the quality of how strong and week some maybe and you are right because I noticed it myself. But I use microfiber clothes for everything when I clean now. Also the essential oils, as I use them when I make my own version of castile/cleaning solution soap. I learned more about dyi cleaning solutions from you. Thank you.
Did you try looking at restaurant supply companies for spray bottles? We have a place in town that sells commercial quality cleaning items. I love it. We bought a real commercial mop & bucket from them and now cleaning my basement floor is so easy. The prices are pretty good too, considering you don't need to replace these items.
Melissa, what is the name or brand or the link to get that pink sponge you have in this video??? I know many of us are curious! I recently bought your book and I love it!!!! Thank you for inspiring us to clean!
I love the lime green fabric mesh cleaning cloths at Walmart (3/pack). They make dish soap “grow” so a little goes a long way, they don’t scratch, and clean up really well. I just use a big blob of soap, and squish the suds through the cloth, then rinse thoroughly (like hand-washing your bra or pantyhose…do women still wear pantyhose?). Then air dry.
Ace Hardware has some awesome sprayers as well. One thing you didn't mention about the how the sprayer is. How fine the misting is and product coverage. You don't want to squeeze the trigger more times than you have to and you don't want to be wiping up excess cleanser.
Of course, vinegar and water in a "spray bottle" and the other thing I have found, and you might not like this, is eco clothes which are micro fiber and you can clean almost anything with plain old water. Now I am not saying they are better or worse than yours because I have never tried yours as they are a little pricey for me. You do a great job!
I love my shark cordless vac it works really well and has great suction. I love the brush attachment for stairs at home, and we have a small trailor near beach and it is perfect for couch, pet hair there too.
I recently found a (large) All Purpose Spray Bottle (name printed on bottle) at Target that seems ikemit is very good quality, and is comfortable. This was after buying more expensive ones at two different hardward stores that were supposed to be high qualtiy. . . and were NOT! Great video Melissa :)
I have a canister Dyson which is light weight and it works well.Yes, they cost more but they last longer. Mine is 4 yrs old, gets used hard and has held up beautifully. A little hint I use when vacuuming my area rugs especially in winter when static cling from the house heat builds up. In a spray bottle,1/4 c. vinegar ( use essential oil if the smell bothers you but it dissipates so fast) and 2 cups of water. Spray the rug down well, let it dry then vacuum. You can also use fabric softener or a fragrant hair conditioner, a teaspoon to make the solution smell nice plus it also helps with the static.
My go-to cleaner is OdoBan. I found it decades ago and just ordered 4 more jugs off amazon. I don't know if it is an enzyme or anti-bac or what it is but it works. I de-scented cat messes in my house that were old because I could not find a cleaner that would clean them and I had a sick kitty who would not use the litter box until she was well. I de-scented every single one and have used OdoBan ever since.
My favorite cleaning tools are essential oils and hand held vac; however, I have worn my hand vac out and have to have another one soon. I like the looks of yours.
My favourite mop for my laminate floors is a rubber-pin broom with a micro-fibre cloth wrapped round the head. Spritz the floor with a 1:4 vinegar / water solution and mop!
We have very hard water and my favorite cleaner is RESTORE the Earth Bathroom Lime & Scale Remover....non-toxic and it works so well! You spray it on, leave it and it does the work for you. I got it at our local co-op but don't see it there anymore, so I must go find it online or elsewhere.
Well it's not a favorite cleaning tool but better yet a practice that I learned on your channel. The 360 cleaning rule changed the way I cleaned because it's definitely much quicker
Dr Bronners uses coconut oil in their mix, I can’t use it for hand or body soap for that reason. There are a few companies out there that do coconut free but it’s hard to find.
Hoover Linx cordless vac, about $120, I have the older one in the basement, newer upstairs. Found a deal on a Dyson canister vac for the baseboards or heavier vacuuming occasionally.

Any chance of you doing a tutorial on cleaning the floors, and maybe recommend a good mop, broom and sweeper. Love your videos. 🌸
Expensive but i love my Roomba. I'm in a wheelchair so I give it instructions from an app on my smartphone. I actually run it 2x a day. With 4 dogs, my floors can get dirty quickly. Plus its fun to watch chihuahuas attacking it or running from it.
N Donaldson I'm in wheelchair too hope I get one for Christmas !
😂😂😂😂😂
Awesome! Love mine too. I joke around that it’s the only thing I can delegate to.
yes that too (we have a deebot) ahhh love my deebot and crosswave.
I love my Scrub Daddy scrub pad. It is like the second sponge you mentioned. Not as cheap however, with nice care, it will last quite a while.
God bless!
My Swiffer duster extendable is my go to for lots of different cleaning chores.
That was cool that you put your toilet bowl brush under the seat to dry! I never thought of that...thanks for the idea!!
Do you have any link to the product?
We bought a new cordless stain and it’s amazing. It’s changed the way we vacuum. I used to procrastinate but now it’s so crazy easy. While the tank is small it’s super easy to dump without having to touch anything.
Love your top!!!!! And the yellow cup and saucer! That's how much tea I feel like I need some days!
Bushrah Iqbal LMAO
Bushrah Iqbal aqm
Found your channel today and I’m hooked already, inspired thanks
I'm going to try using the Castile soap that I've had under my sink for two years. Thanks to your channel, I'm a believer in microfiber cloths.
My favorite cleaning tool is an old toothbrush it helps me clean things easier I use it for the grout on my countertops too.
My Bissell Crosswave Pet Pro is my favorite. It vacuums and “mops” hard floors (with constant clean water and a rotating brush similar to my carpet cleaner) at the SAME TIME!!!!! No more sweeping then mopping. I do it all at once. It takes care of pet accidents too this is by far the best piece of equipment I’ve ever owned!
loving my crosswave !
Vacuums and mops at the same time.
Makes me happy happy.
I always appreciate your videos & knowledge
Greetings from Port Elizabeth, South Africa
The Dyson d8 is the best purchase I made for my new house! Favorite cleaning product. That and magic erasers!
I make an all purpose cleaner from white vinager, borax, teatree oil and water - it works on everything and smells great
susan berry that's a great one Susan!
Especially with your microfibre cloths - love their size
susan berry how much of each thing do you put into the mixture?
2 tablespoons of white vinegar, 2 teaspoons of borax powder, 2 cups of warm water, 6 to 8 drops of tea tree oil - pour into a spray bottle, give a good shake to dissolve the borax and you are good to go - I sometimes add lavender oil as well.
That sounds like a great cleaner. Could you tell me the quantities of each please?
Mimi Ramone, I use half white vinegar, half peroxide for most cleaning followed by a plain water rinse. I may add a little blue Dawn if necessary. I will use dilute bleach on countertops, toilets or to spot clean somewhere if need be. There are fumes, and I don't have my birds or cats in the same room while I'm cleaning and I turn on the central fan or open windows to ventilate when possible.
the dyson cordless is well worth the money!!! Couldn't clean without it!!!
I use Dr. Bronner castile soap (peppermint). I used to shower and wash my hair with it for allergy reasons, but it turned my hair to oily, which I don't like. So I'm still using it as a body wash. But I like your idea about using it for cleaning 🤔
Also, essential oils, I use orange and lemon. I add them to the vinegar as a laundry softener 😁
And peppermint essential oil with a bit of water in a stainless steel sprayer bottle to keep my house safe from spiders.. 😁
Cleaning tip - (windows) front wipe up and down. Back wipe left to right.
We have this little rechargeable carpet sweeper and it's been a gamechanger in the dining room with messy toddlers. 👍
Clean my space where did you get the big yellow coffee cup? I love it ❤️❤️❤️
I like using the combination of Castile soap, borax, super washing soda, essential oils and distilled water to clean with.
Love my Bona too!
I LOVE my MiL’s Rainbow vacuum and really appreciate that she lets me borrow it for deep cleaning sometimes!
My favorite cleaning tool is my Bissell small vacuum that I bought at Walmart for 20.00. it's light weight and is good for rugs and floors. It cleans great.
. . . thanks for your great tips . . .regarding your stove filter - wondering if you've ever considered just washing them with your dishes in the dishwasher . . . super hot de-greasing water & soap, plus, saving your enzyme products for other cleaning tasks that don't accommodate this . . . God Bless . . .
that is what I do,it works great!!
I love my Dyson cordless vacuum and I got it after seeing you use it. Some say they didn't like it but I trusted you and it's amazing!!!
I’ve been watching your videos and I keep thinking when I hear certain words.....”she’s Jewish isn’t she?”
THEN you said “Schlep”.....and I said “Yep”! Love it!!! Thanks for ALL of your videos!
So So helpful!
Bac Out is AMAZING for pet urine. It even removes the blacklight glow
If you have 2 minutes to touch up the bathroom a disinfecting wipe (like Lysol) is so convenient and germ killing. Start high; faucet handles, door knob, light switch, then around sink and finally my vinyl floor gets a touch up, for spots.
They're definitely convenient, but not very environmentally friendly, in my opinion, plus I prefer what I consider to be safer, healthier cleaners.
Essential oils welcome, by the way. Not afraid of those.
I found a EUFY cordless vac, light weight, good suction and full charge does 24 minutes. It transforms to a hand held. I live it
I love my bissell crosswave how you can vacuum and wash the floor at the same time
God I’m like, 10 videos in, and I’m 🤯 mind blown!
@cleanmyspace I love Mrs Meyers lemon all purpose cleaner. I've been using it for years now!
Dyson cordless vac - totally life changing 😜
Hey Melissa, can you post a video of how to clean sofas? I have a fabric sofa as well as a faux leather one. Thanks!
Good thing you took something
Melissa, the tool that you brought me to knowing more about is microfiber. Though I haven't bought your clothes, which I'm seriously thinking of doing sometime in the near future, as you spoke about the type of microfiber and the quality of how strong and week some maybe and you are right because I noticed it myself. But I use microfiber clothes for everything when I clean now. Also the essential oils, as I use them when I make my own version of castile/cleaning solution soap. I learned more about dyi cleaning solutions from you. Thank you.
I advise magic sponge for all hard surface . No any chemical only water. Cheap and easy.
Did you try looking at restaurant supply companies for spray bottles? We have a place in town that sells commercial quality cleaning items. I love it. We bought a real commercial mop & bucket from them and now cleaning my basement floor is so easy. The prices are pretty good too, considering you don't need to replace these items.
dunebuggie Walmart, where the ironing boards are or a janitorial supply store for the bottles
Can you pls let me know the brand of those pink sponges
Melissa, what is the name or brand or the link to get that pink sponge you have in this video??? I know many of us are curious! I recently bought your book and I love it!!!! Thank you for inspiring us to clean!
kfeb11 Try Ocelo
Norwex window cloths. Hands down the best...no streaks and no chemicals needed.
Berni Zopf I use shackley window clothes work as good as Norwex but $5 a cloth😊
I love my shark cordless vac it works really well and has great suction. I love the brush attachment for stairs at home, and we have a small trailor near beach and it is perfect for couch, pet hair there too.
Vacuum angle brushes on extension tube you can reach all over the place quickly and vinegar spray which is very versatile xxx
Melissa, I can't live without you.
Castile Soap is the best for anything....clean and personal for sure.
I like the looks of yours.
black and decker makes a good accessory vac. It's not for floors but more for all the on board functions.
Spraia 🌟 I think is a good name for the great spray bottle 😆
Vinegar and Dawn dish soap!!! Must haves.
My favourite tool is a denture toothbrush. I like it because of the two sizes of brushes; the large brush is firm and the small end is softer.
My favourite mop for my laminate floors is a rubber-pin broom with a micro-fibre cloth wrapped round the head. Spritz the floor with a 1:4 vinegar / water solution and mop!
I loveeeee using peroxide to disinfect instead of bleach
We have very hard water and my favorite cleaner is RESTORE the Earth Bathroom Lime & Scale Remover....non-toxic and it works so well! You spray it on, leave it and it does the work for you. I got it at our local co-op but don't see it there anymore, so I must go find it online or elsewhere.
Magic Erasers! Love them for cleaning!
Well it's not a favorite cleaning tool but better yet a practice that I learned on your channel. The 360 cleaning rule changed the way I cleaned because it's definitely much quicker
Nitrile gloves from Harbor Freight Tools are the best deal! I use the easy-to-find 20% off coupons in the newspaper.
I love the rubber gloves I use when cleaning the bathrooms.
I had a MASSIVE allergic reaction to using castille soap for shower gel, so be really careful until you know you are not sensitive to it!
Dr Bronners uses coconut oil in their mix, I can’t use it for hand or body soap for that reason. There are a few companies out there that do coconut free but it’s hard to find.
Love your channel! It is one of the most useful channels I have found. So much great info.
Hoover Linx cordless vac, about $120, I have the older one in the basement, newer upstairs. Found a deal on a Dyson canister vac for the baseboards or heavier vacuuming occasionally.
