Jonny, Thanks so much for the recognition. I couldn't have done it with out going to your class. I could never get the cells to pop like that and just a little help and guidance from you and it worked. Loved the class and all the people I met there with the same interest in Fluid Art. Can't beat the teacher wanting to copy my painting. A story I can tell for a long time :) Keep up the great videos.

Try to add a humidifier in the room you are working in. Adding humidity to the air “may” help with the cracking by adding moisture to your environment. It may take some “tweaking” of how much humidity to add or how long it needs to be on. But, it’s worth a shot ❤. I paint in a basement that is finished with walls, floors ect. and has too much humidity. So I run my De-humidifier….. It works great. Maybe the opposite will work for you.? I truly hope it does 🥰

That might have been my problem with my last painting then. I have never had a paint crack or anything and I thought either too much paint or too cold of an area that my paint was by.

I would also check the optimum humidity % for drying acrylics and set the humidifier to that %.

Johnny, I love this! It is beautiful!! Maybe you can add moisture to the air in the room you are drying your blooms in. It will stop the top layer of paint from drying to quickly. I am sorry about your eye! Maybe you got something in it while you were sleeping and rubbed to hard.

    Beautiful! I love your cells.
I got the hair serum today. I have been following you for several months now. & can't wait to try this!
Try a cheap vaporizer in the room where you dry your paintings. I just wouldn't have it blowing directly on the artwork.

I live in Jacksonville Fl, it's hot and humid. I have noticed that when I leave my coasters either in the sun or just when it's in the 90's I do get cracks. It happens on canvas too, not just my coasters.

I can relate to your eye issue, I just spent 6 weeks and 8 doctor visits getting my eye fixed. I had a ruptured cyst in my right eyelid, followed by a massive infection, and then cosmetic surgery to get my eyelid repaired.

Your painting is great! Your student's palette is vibrant like springtime. Purple and yellow remind me of irises. That green was a surprise! I wonder why the blue from the purple was so dominant there; it was definitely purple. It was perfect.
I hope your eye is going to be okay! Did you draw an eye on the patch they put on in the ER? (I'm a child, sue me. And yes, I've done that...)
I had success with your (before I bought my first bottle of Australian Floetrol) CA recipe - did you try that one as well? (I'm in CT - humid summers - but still had good luck and thought I'd mention it.)
This recipe, for anyone who hasn't downloaded it, is from "J Mo Painting Acrylic Pouring Recipes" which I downloaded in 2021. Link in the description box above. American Floetrol, Amsterdam paint, and Minwax wood conditioner mixed at a 3 parts floetrol to 1 part Amsterdam paint to 3-6 drops of Minwax wood conditioner.

I’m brand new , well, so new I haven’t even tried my first canvas yet! But I would think that if it’s cracking you’ve got too much activator in it! Or the wrong activator in the first place!
Like I’ve stated I haven’t even started yet!
I hope my input helps you with your solution!
Thank you so much for sharing your videos and your tutorial’s

I am also wondering about the role of Golden Open acrylics . I don’t know.. maybe in blooms for a cell activator and maybe using these in pearl pours ..
if you explore these I would be curious to see if they could make a difference somehow since they slow dry

PROBLEM WITH DRYNESS: Get a humidifier for your art room. Adjust your vents for the ac in your room as well. AC dried out the air so you need to add humidity.
You should have a humidifier in your home too. I lived in Phoenix and saw a doc for something and he told me to put a humidifier in my apartment to help sinus troubles.
HOPE THAT HELPS YOU. LET ME KNOW. :) God bless you

    Regarding cracks in Phx Az…
I do not use PPG ( I use glidden instead here which is thinner ). I also had to take out fast drying products such as poly acrylic snd use only josanya gloss . Additionally each of the thick is a little thinner than most blooms to counter the dry heat . The big difference was taking poly acrylic out and not using PPG. I got the idea of the tyle if Glidden from Winterstrom who lived in the west . I realize she is where there is humidity but still other products and changes due to to it iare the same in Az and CA.
Last … I don’t do pours with any thick paints until about now and stop by end of May. . Even moving indoors to paint during that time there is a crack risk . The air conditioning just pulled in the dry air .
I had also tried adding GAC to counter but that just was not enough .
